Hi Sonja. Enjoying this video. But from my prospective, I think people feel hesitant about showing themselves because of the many prejudices that are out there. Believe it or not but there are many consumers who for instance, see a Black face and assume that the product, earrings in my case, are produced only for Black women. So in order to draw that sector of people in, if a symbol or logo is posted as your image, they don't see color but product. Just my take on it.
cm g All those things may be true. But then those are NOT your customers. And on the flip side there is a whole other segment of people who are actively searching for a black woman owned business to support and if you “hide” behind your logo or anything else you miss that. All stats show ( and I’ve personally experienced) that in today’s economy people are more like likely to shop with SOMEONE they know like and trust. 😉
