I don't understand how this hasn't crossed my feed until now. I have watched so much Jesse Lee Peterson and David Lucas separate from each other in the last year...

Watching David Lucas for years, my respect for him has grown immensely after hearing this interview.
This is an awesome interview. Good to see the old and young generation talking, what should be, common sense.
Give David Lucas his own show on the network.. Like Hake News and nickstream... just develop the shit out of it first and make it good because hes got potential. I'd love to hear more from him.

I'm loving the direction Jesse is going where he's interviewing more people that are of a like mind. Don't get me wrong the interviews with people who are completely out to lunch are still good but all the insanity gets to be fatiguing. I like these interviews like this cuz it inspires hope.
Yup: if someone won’t have a conversation with him and gets combative or deceptive he’ll pump the breaks and eat them alive. I don’t know if it gets old because little nuances and inflections really keep his message alive. It’s not him that makes me yawn- his guests. I’ve watched Jesse for years and I’ve heard the same exact word salads and pivots. He’s been doing this since the eighties-image how bored he gets hearing the same shit for four decades. He’s so restrained lol

This is a great interview. Jesse will throw out question after question. And david is giving incredible, well, thought out answers, really fast. It's not easy to keep up with Jesse and still sound intelligent.
Man...this made me love David Lucas so much more! I saw his first set on Kill Tony and knew he was going to be such a great talent! I thought he was coming to troll, but he gave an honest and open interview! Love it!

Arguably my favorite guest in my memory. How refreshing. His words on forgiving his mom and his kids needing to forgive him was very original and not ever spoken that way on this show and it worked.
Jesse is kind of a comedian himself so he gets along w other comedians. I know Jesse takes himself seriously but he also enjoys a good trolling of his guests and can take a roast as well! This was such a great episode!

This is the BEST discussion I have heard in the longest time. I have seen a lot of Jesse's shows and clips, but David was absolutely AMAZIN'! I just follow the signs. This is one of many that tell me everything is going to be just fine.

People should really pay attention to the people's character that Jesse interviews... David Lucas is a really awesome "stable" person & very intelligent. Yet, He did not get annoyed by Jesse's line of questioning or beliefs or anything like that... But, Most people do get over emotional when he interviews them.
I noticed that. This seems like a therapy session. David seems calm but for some reason, I don’t get the impression that he’s being authentic. Seems like he’s being calmly defensive. Especially around the topic of forgiveness towards his mother and father. When he said that he likes having anxiety, I especially didn’t think he was being authentic. I can understand the point of liking the awareness it brings, but who enjoys a racing heart and sweaty palms?!?
Well why do you enjoy doing a puzzle? If you do. It's some mental pain (patience) in return for dopamine. His anxiety must be a useful tool in his performances. It must act as a virtue for him to say that honestly. David Lucas was definitely being genuine. He had no reason to be defensive. Jesse Lee is a compassionate human who holds no hate. I am sure David understands that by now.
My Grandma was from Macon, GA (like David Lucas) and she had to pick cotton as a kid. She was white, BTW. Always think it's so silly for people to think that only black folks picked cotton because they were slaves, etc. HAHAHAHAAAA...
