More HoMM 3 content please :) your videos are great from what I've seen so far. I would love some videos detailing some creatures comparison, factions comparison, gameplay strategies, edited in the same way like your Grail buildings were.
You did loose more than the autocombat. 1 cyclops all wolves vs just 19 wolves auto. The reason seems to be that sometimes in autocombat the AI doesn't use spells for some reason. Proof being many different cases but one exemple i had happen to me waa attacking a weak hero who fled and i didn't loose anything. Then i play the fight myself to see if i can get him before he runs and it's just impossible not to loose anything because he zaps me and runs
Yes you are right about the AI not casting spells in auto-combat, I don't know why that is. Fun fact about the "hit-and-run" tactic (casting a damaging spell just before running away), HotA actually came up with a setting for random maps that prevent the anyone from running away if he has just cast a spell, which is part of the "Tournament rules" option! I love that option!
Still can't believe you completely missed the Helm of Heavenly Enlightenment around 1:04 which gives +6 to all stats, like several times 😅 You need to pay more attention to your surroundings haha
It looks similar to the PvP maps from this mod. Resources everywhere because there’s a huge incentive to rush for your opponents. Every move point is critical and games don’t last nearly as long, so a lot of stuff doesn’t get picked up.
Have you updated your client? I reeeeally dont like the new queue bar and I want to disable it - have you done it somehow or did you just not update HotA yet?
Why don't you like it? This was recorded quite a while ago and I haven't updated yet but I think you can disable it by clicking 'more options' before starting a map.
@@Norovo I just dont like the aesthetic of it and besides - there is a point of not having it in HoMM3. Part of the game is to know who went and who didnt and so on - it shouldnt be spelled out for you. I get that it is a quality of life improvement, but I just find it out of place here.
Fair enough, I haven't tried it so don't have a strong opinion but I'm considering using it. Trying to remember turn order isn't that fun to me, but then again having a queue feels like a bit of a crutch.
I updated but haven't tried it much. The reason being that I use 1066*whatever(the lowest resolution) and the queue needs atleast 1156*850 to display, but I agree it feels a little out of place. I think i have seen the same feature in other mods and it looked better
I actually 0% agree with you on that haha The queue display is such an amazing quality of life improvement, limits dumb mistakes and saves a huge amount of time just trying to figure out who's going before who, which I find incredibly tedious and annoying. But to each their own I guess :p
24:31 Stronghold kinda has that, though there it's because you make your castle self sufficient, Dungeon Keeper 2 also, to some extent

It's just a badly designed map. One city to build but resources on every square inch of the land. The balance is way off.
