When I lived in Germany, my girlfriend and I came across an igel (hedgehog). Under German law, if you come across an igel weighing less than 100 grams in the fall, you MUST take them in for the winter. That's exactly what we did and it was A GREAT six months. We released Miekisch in the spring.
I'm moving to Germany then.

Wild hedgehogs are endangered now in UK. I had 3 in my garden which I found as babies. I fed them and brought them up until they left to mate, I guess. That was about 11 years ago and I've never seen one since. They are wonderful creatures and so full of personality.

@@qwellyboy Hi. I have been feeding a stray cat for about 4 years now. He comes in the house to ask me for food but won't stay. I feed him outside and now I've discovered a hedgehog eating the food. I have 4 steep steps leading up to the door but that doesn't stop it. It's a dear old thing and not a bit frightened of me. I feel very honoured
We have a hut in our garden where its ver peaceful and quiet, we only go in there once in a while so now a wild hedgehog lives there with her 2 babys. I watched them yesterday eating some catfood i gave them

At 1:06 that hog is in respiratory distress! Respiratory infections can be very serious and often if left untreated can result in death. If you hear your hog doing that, make sure to go to the vet asap

Hedehogs shouldnt be feed with milk, the squeeking in sleep can be a problem with the lung and the hedgehog wich was hissing and attaking the hand of the owner was all but not in a lucky mood. Hedgehogs hiss when they are in a bad mood, agressiv ore in danger.

The hedgehog looked more like it was playing to me, although I’ve never owned one, I’ve only owned other animals. They act that way when playing, but I’ve never owned a hedgie so idk if they’re the same or not.
greeneyesmetblack hissing and grunting are signs that a animal is not amused ... Doesnt matter if it's a hedgehog, a turtel, a bunny, a cat ore something else ... Alsow you could see that the hedgy was attaking the hand of his owner. But how you sayed you did'nt own a hedgy, so it's ok if you dont know. :)
Whoever the last person was on this video, they shouldn't have a hedgehog. I think what they were doing was mean.
