But even for those who worship their work (and almost everyone does that though their area of work differs), to create a singular identity of divine supremacy to a mere mortal is something not really desirable. Indeed for a field as vast and beautiful as music, to call or label someone as God of that field is again something that is rather problematic. Even people like Sir Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift,Kishore Kumar, Rabindranath Tagore etc., just to name a few, should not be called Gods, even though these people were/are able to do all the three things related to music (lyrics, composing and singing) very well on a consistent basis. Anyways, I just find this Indian tendency of labeling humans with tags of Gods extremely problematic. From Lata Mangeshkar to Sachin Tendulkar to AR Rahman, we, Indians are constantly guilty of doing this. Insaan ko Insaan hi rhne do, bhagwan ka naam ya darja kyu hi dena? But, I get it. Fans do this. And to each his/her own. So, its fine if you (or other Arijit fans) label him as God/God's voice. I just find this Indian tendency very flawed, and so stated the same. Hi team, a quick suggestion maybe be my POV the frequency of these podcasts is very fast, if it would be something like a weekly/10 day-one podcast kind of setup it would make more sense to me. reason being I don't come from a music background, but I love to hear about music, so with this frequency of podcasts it becomes a bit too much music for "me". but when it comes at a slower rate I would crave for it or a new episode would excite me. Might be wrong, might be right... do share your thoughts.
I do like his originals and recreated songs but I feel Leja leja was an iconic song sung by legends and the remake lost it's essence. No one can match Shreya and Ustad and the beauty with which this song was picturized.
Love this podcast in general...just want people not to comment on things they don't know about like AI...AI is just not cloning human voices...that is something everybody is toying with these days...Tanishq Bagchi is not qualified enough to speak on the potential of AI even in music...leave alone the other impacts....when the intellegentia across the world are concerned about its disruptive power how can he so casually remark that humans will always drive AI...
