After they played Houston a couple of months ago I was lucky enough to talk to Eric (the one getting abused in this video). I asked him how many takes it took to shoot this video since it is all one continuous shot. He said one because he only had the one suit. He also agreed with me when I thought the rest of the band was having way too much fun pelting him with anything they could get their hands on.
I love how they write their lyrics. Just the phrases like "jealous is the night when the morning comes" not like "the morning is jealous". They're lyrics are so detailed and carefully put together, not just thrown together like most popular artists. Awesome song

This song just reminds you to be positive, even in the face of adversity. "Rain dont change the sun." Hard times will always come, but good times always follow too. "jealous is the night when the morning comes, but it always comes." So dont dwell on the negative because "the devil's in the details."
I agree, but i think that's the beauty of this band!! Their new song Take Off Your Shoes is my absolute favorite and it sounds almost nothing like other songs of theirs. I love the way they don't do the same thing over and over again!!

This song and the video have gotten me through some of the darkest times of my life. Sometimes I just sit and watch it and cry. It’s honestly more powerful and spiritually moving than any church song I’ve ever heard. My soul feels like it’s elevated when I sing along. I’m sure I sound a little nutty but someone must know how I feel because this song exists. It’s been a hard road.
The only thing that they couldn't really pick up would have been the feathers and the confetti and I wouldnt be difficult to find environmental friendly/biodegradable versions of that stuff. Pretty easy solution tbh

Friend of Delta Rae turned me on to this band. I love this song and video. So fun but a metaphor for tribulations in life. I love how Ian keeps going and going through the gauntlet other band members provide... the joy in the ocean and the pan to the right where a placid sun rise hides all this fun turmoil! So Fun and heartfelt!
Such moving voices. These guys have so many faces. So many moods and personalities, I want to see them all. Love it. Country, folk, rock, gospel, and soul will will be so much the richer when they have done with them.

Was just introduced to Delta Rae by a friend this week and got to see them in Clearwater last night. It was a wonderful show and they put on an amazing performance. I wish the band all the success in the world.
They never cease to amaze me! I like them more than other bands because they don't just have one lead singer. All the songs that I've listened to by them has been lead by a different person...:) I like that.
The people who control the props? LOADS! The people who had to clean the pie/feathers/paint/sand/paper out of his hair and off his skin? BIGGEST NIGHTMARE EVER!! :P Can you imagine doing more than one take to get it right?
