BMW E30 M54 engine swap @ Brintech Customs

- Laurence takes us through Brintech's latest engine conversion - an M54 swapped E30.
A beast on the road, this thing has all of the power and minimal weight, turning heads where ever it goes.
The only thing it really needs, (which you've hopefully replaced by now,) is some poly or delrin LCAB's. Those stock 'webbed' bushings are designed for nothing but comfort. Even the OEM e36 m3 ones (solid rubber) are better than those. One of the first upgrades I make on my personal or customer's cars. When you see crazy tire wear and "floppy" braking/ handling its usually always these LCAB "lollypop" bushings. I would've left the fuel filter closer to the frame rail underneath more. Other than those two things, it's a nice swap for sure.

Hi mate do you know what exhaust manifold will fit the E30 m50 swap as it's touching steering rack please help
We make our own headers for this swap - or other times we modify M52B28 headers. Nothing OEM will fit

Where i can find a steering wheel like that? Also, my daily driver is an 320i M20B20 E30, I would like to do a swap in the future, i was thinking about a 2 liter m50 or m52, or maybe 2.5 m52b25, what would be the easyest between m50 and m52?
The steering wheel in a the video is a Nardi steering wheel, and I'd go for a m52 just because it's a newer platform and very reliable
does it fit on the old motor mounts, or do new ones need to be welded?

Actually M54 fits perfect on E36 motor mounts in E30 ;)
What sump was used? And do you have a wiring diagram? Did you delete the ews?
We have front bowl sump kits for these engine swaps. We do have a wiring diagram yes, we also supply plug and play harnesses for these swaps. And why an m54?
Luke S we moved the AC condenser forward and fit a fan in between the rad and condenser. an M54 that makes over 180rwkw is good value and well balanced power. we also do S54 swaps.
Brintech Customs tnx for the reply. Most of us in the us either grind down the waterpump or run a smaller fan to run ac.
180kw to the wheels aint bad at all from an m54 I can't wait to dyno mine since its has a bit of more mods to it
What size shifter did you go with, as they offer s, m, l ,and xl ?

@@BrintechCustoms Well holler when you do! About to get my m54b30 swap on the road. Basic mods on it, but if somebody (you!) figured out the wire/cable throttle conversion and managed some ITBs, that'd be next!
@@seanmurphy8265 We will get the OEM drive motor to operate the ITBs so there wont be any throttle issues to deal with

Just because you don’t like it, doesn’t mean it can’t be nice 🤷🏽♂️
You can set up a S54 to be raspy. Or eliminate it.
