Not the caliber of player that you are uncle Larry but at my age (77) I’m just grateful that I still get to gig once or twice a month and that I don’t play too bad once my arthritic and carpal tunnel hands loosen up… your so right about the other times in life… enjoy your videos completely…thanks! 😎🎸🎶
My daughter and her husband are both in their 30's. Proud to say that they are both pretty successful AND they are great people who care more about people than material crap.
My 71 monte carlo was the nicest driving car ever! I got out of bars in the eighties, five 45 minute sets 5 and 6 days a week, 50 bucks a night, but usually 16 bucks a night after they deducted my heinekens, and that was after the free drinks. I quit and got my first fixer property. $5000 with 1000 down and 200 per month. With it came a letter saying the buyer would get sued by the county. Luckily it never happened. Im glad i got into real estate because all my old bandmates are getting by on some type of fairly limited income living in Shacks, im currently living in a shack but playing a 57 goldtop. Different curves for different pervs. Hey thats a song title!

Doesn't matter, you pretty much nailed it (each stage of life is associated with a psychological struggle). Thanks for doing the show. You always demonstrate this, but today was another great example of when you are playing music it is like you are processing what you played already, what you are playing presently, and what is coming next equally at a high rate of speed and simultaneously. I have begun taking guitar seriously, for the first time. about this last year. intermediate player stuck in the same rut since highschool. I live in a heavily Dominican neighborhood and hear bachata (Mexican equivalent are corridos, huge artists like Peso Pluma etc) and the tinny 12 string electric-acoustics always sounded very ice pick-y (especially over grocery store speakers) but I did a deep dive on all that stuff and got over the questionable tones - there's so much cool double stop playing on those songs, those dudes rip. A cute Dominican bartender who works at a club I play at frequently asked if I could play "Un Beso" by Aventura and I promised I'd have it ready for the next gig for her - nope! Shit is hard. As for blues, if you listen to no one else, really check out Lonnie Johnson - he recorded from the 20s-50s and is a precursor to Charlie Christian, T-Bone Walker etc, totally foundational player who wrote the book for B.B. King to study. Another under-the-radar record is "Somebody Loan Me A Dime" by Fenton Robinson from '74, really unique playing.
As a boy the first time I saw the Zep was at the Syracuse Warmorial with The James Gang opening, Joe's rendition of Bluebird made me comment to my buddy Page is going to have to be pretty good to top that. He surely Shook Me all night looong.

I'm a butcher and I made that burger with my buffalo chopper. Pretty tasty. Thanks for the idea. I think I'm gonna start selling them premade. Cheers buddy. I checked and they haven't been patented. Rough chop of sirloin cooked medium with herb and garlic rub then on burger bun. Took the buffalo chopper to make it good, kinda like chopped corned beef. I added some aged beef fat to it to boost the flavor a bit.

Your touch is just so magical.. I mean its one thing to have chops and hit the marks but the guitarists I love the most are all about touch and how they bend (Knoffler, gilmour, clapton, jimi, srv) they had the magic touch, and so do you!!
