@bluntman4627 not always, I've done a few necromancer runs with the mod and even modern rom, the undead either don't update or can't be improved(monitored skills from day 1 to day 100+ with all traits of the spell maxed)
So, I'm new to your channel (someone on Reddit recommended you to me!) and I've never played (or even heard of) RimWorld before, so all of this is quite interesting to me. I had to pause the video at 6:35 when you got to explaining your character's religion, because some of the choices caught my eye: "Ocular trees: indifferent"? "Fungus: despised"? Back in Tamriel in the land of Morrowind is a city by the name of Necrom. A city devoted to tending the dead of the Dunmer houses. A necropolis where the dead are laid to rest. Instead of a necropolis where the living work for the dead this could be a place where the dead could work for the living. Perhaps New Necrom?

I now have my own home, a job, a college degree and a loving husband and we both love everything you do! Thanks for everything Rycon!
a little tip: you can call on spirits with the help of a circle of magicians to infuse into corpses. This allows you to create very high quality undead with good skills. Fresh addition to mod. The spirit can inhabit a corpse, a living colonist, an animal. In the case of the colonist, this gives an advanced class on top of the existing one.
If there are Alpha Animals in this modpack... The Feralisk (any "Lisk") Clutchmother... Is by far the best creature you can keep around as an Undead friend... She still produces eggs while she's dead... and those spiders all can be butchered for chitin and insect meat... or milked for synthread... Not too mention they all get ranged stun attacks One of my funnest colonies was just a necromancer and a big dead mama spider I named Shelob lol
I randomly stumbled across this while binging through Rimworld content, blown away by the content filled entertainment and quality of these videos. From the roleplay aspect to the steps you take in order to create immersion into these videos and the quality of them. Seriously impressed and wanted to express so. Immediately subbed and I'm shocked more aren't.
I've been sick (too sick for watching vids even!) so I'm just now watching - I really enjoyed the intro with the clips from other games, that was really cool.
Warcraft, LOTRO, Skyrim, Rimworld and I couldn’t help but notice some old cars from Fallout scattered in there? What an eclectic setting for the Tower of Manos, in the forbidden lands. All ye who enter here shall most certainly meet their doom and serve Manos for eternity!!
To answer the questions about a possible mod pack I warn you, what I have here is very far from stable. Most of the quality of life mods and graphical improvements come from Mr Samuel Streamers latest mod pack. Highly recommend you look at that as a starting point, then sprinkle in Rimhammer, Lord of the Rims and RimWorld of Magic for total chaos
Rycon I don't know why you didn't restrict yourself to the ESCP Morrowind races (and mods) with maybe just the rimworld of magic mods plus some other minor mods to pad content like medieval overhaul, magical menagerie & VFE Medieval + Vikings (Stuff I can see you have included; I think). Given the lore you started with it would have made so much more sense to have it as some 'alternate plane of oblivion' or something. The combo you have is really 'fantasy patchwork' (if that makes sense); I've played with them all at one point or another and some in conjunction with others but trying to spot a consistent theme with this modpack is difficult and there's bound to be loads of duplication of things (coal from 2 different mods used in different recipes, I remember that cbeing a big reason Sam 'rage quit' his fantasy series a few years back with a similar rimhammer setup). It will be unstable because you're mixing the Rimhammer magic with Rimworld of magic and with the psycast stuff from royalty. Still! Good stuff so far.
found this completely by accident! I love a good role-play of Rimworld. I normally work on my models and listen to a playlist from Decoherent. After the first episode, happy to add yours to the list! Keep them coming!
Pleasantly surprised to see Manos again. I remember watching his original series with fascination all those years ago (ohdearlorditsbeenyears). From one modded-out mess of a game to another modded-out mess of a game lol. But if there's anyone who can survive in this strange new world, it's Manos. Especially if this world involves Warhammer and the Cthulhu mythos (that mod is super fun, from my own experiences). I would suggest that you keep at least a couple living beings among your retinue, if possible. Manos had living lieutenants and workers under his control during his past life, after all, and undead are generally not too capable with more complex or intricate tasks, though I'm unsure if that plays out differently in this mod. With all that being said and done, I will now give a brief rundown of some of the Warhammer lore that has popped up in this video, as I know not everyone is well-versed in it (I'm not going to do this with the Middle Earth/Lord Of The Rings stuff, though. Because if you're on this channel you already know the lore of that universe inside and out.). Overall, this mod takes more inspiration from Warhammer Fantasy, rather than Warhammer 40K. But the two have numerous overlaps. Chaos Wastes: Lands that have been corrupted by the energy and wanton magics of Chaos, making them nearly uninhabitable except for the bravest and most foolhardy individuals, or those who have sworn allegiance to the Chaos Gods (More on that later). Crossing the threshold into the Chaos Wastes is dangerous enough already, and reality begins to fracture and break apart the further and further you venture into it. Chaos is a catch-all term for the strange energies, influences and the "factions" of entities that originate from The Realm Of Chaos, a sort of dark mirror of the material world. Most beings of Chaos are malevolent creatures who have been driven hopelessly made by its influence, or mutated into horrific monsters by its pervasive corruption. The most powerful beings of The Chaos Realms are four god-like entities called Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch, and Slaanesh. They form the primary powers of Chaos magic, but are by no means the only powerful beings worshipped, though they are the majority of the ones worshipped by Chaos-aligned beings. Those who prove particularly worthy of a Chaos God's favor (and sometimes ire) are sometimes transformed into daemons, powerful beings that bear resemblances to the Gods they were favored by. These daemons often act as lieutenants or emissaries for the Chaos Gods, leading legions of warriors and creatures in their name. As for the Chaos Gods, a brief summary of them: Khorne is the Blood God, and derives his power from might, rage, and most of all, violence. And in the world of Warhammer, violence is constant. To paraphrase an old adage, "Khorne cares not from where the blood flows, only that it flows." He *abhors* magic of any type, which puts him at odds with Tzeentch in particular. Nurgle is the Plague Father, and derives his power from disease, sickness, rot, decay, and corruption. Occasionally referred to as "Grandfather Nurgle", due to his almost familial relationship with his daemons and worshippers. He and his followers wallow in filth, spreading sickness in his name and hoping to convert others to their side. These plagues are virulent and horrid, but usually not deadly. A lot of worshippers pledge themselves to Nurgle just to make the pain stop. Yeah. Tzeentch is the Father Of Lies, The Great Deceiver, a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma. His plans have plans hidden inside plans that are hidden inside plans within plans' plans' plans. Magic, manipulation, secrets and deals are where he gathers his strength. He oftentimes lingers in the background, content to work things from the shadows while the rest of the Chaos Gods and the world as a whole squabble among themselves. But he always keeps an eye on things, and takes opportunities where he sees them. And even if he fails, it's usually because he planned to. Slaanesh is the god of excess, gluttony, lust, greed, and desire. Their daemons and worshippers are often beings of unnatural beauty and temptation that prey on the weaknesses of mortals. Far more than just sex or sensuality, She Who Thirsts delights in pleasures of all kinds, be it drink, drug, flesh, or pain both inflicted and received. He thrives on decadence, be it a starving artist or a promiscuous noble. Together, their forces could easily crush the entire mortal world into a nightmare of ruin where they reign supreme. The one thing stopping that is that, for the most part, the four *hate* each other. The Cloven Ones: Judging by the icon used for them, The Cloven Ones are likely Beastmen. Beastmen are brutish, wild, goat-like monsters that reside on the edges of wherever civilization thrives. Their tribal culture functions on a rule of might makes right, and those who cannot stand up for themselves or are too weak wind up eaten alive. Their macabre rituals and vile lifestyle are all done in worship of the Chaos Gods, though only a select few are ever even slightly graced with their blessings. Their numbers never seem to end, be it from their... non-consensual reproductive habits, or the occasional instance of a woman birthing one of them completely randomly, and leaving them in the forest to be found by other beastmen... Clan Traders/Skaven: Depending on who you ask, Skaven may or may not exist. Skaven are a rat-like, humanoid race that pair absolute insanity with deadly cunning. Constant exposure to a strange magical type of rock referred to as "Warpstone" has left their race permanently mutated and crazed, but also enabled them to unlock its secrets. As a result, the Skaven have harnessed its use into crafting anything from rudimentary machine-guns to mutated beasts of war. On top of this, their numbers reproduce at a blistering rate, ensuring that there is always two more to replace whatever one was lost. Lurking beneath the earth, using tunnels of their own creations or the underground works of humans and dwarves, the Skaven can pop up anywhere at a moment's notice and with little warning. Much like the Chaos Gods, however, the one thing keeping the Vermintide from completely overtaking the world is that the Clans that compose the Skaven civilization all hate each other. Fleshmongers: Judging by the icon in use for them, almost certainly a faction of Chaos worshippers dedicated to Slaanesh. Empire Of Man: Something of the "main character" for Warhammer Fantasy, the Empire Of Man is the civilization of human beings that encompasses most of the "Old World". Equal parts Ancient Rome and Renaissance-era Germany, The Empire of Man was first founded by Sigmar Heldenhammer, the Barbarian Chieftain who united numerous tribes together to fight off a save Ork invasion. In doing so, he became worshipped as a god himself. In the time since, Ghal Maraz, the warhammer Sigmar himself wielded, has passed down from Emperor to Emperor, and now lays in the hands of Karl Franz, one of the greatest emperors the Empire has ever seen. Brokering a tense, but acceptable peace between the Dwarfs and Elves not only legitimized the humans to most of the other races, but also gave them access to technology the likes of which they had never seen. As a result, alongside swords and steel, the Empire employs use of gunpowder firearms, cannons, and even primitive Steam Tanks. As the saying goes "Three things make the Empire great: Faith, steel, and gunpowder." Athel Loren: The spiritual sanctuary and home of the reclusive Wood Elves. Very much akin to druids, yes, the relationship between Athel Loren and the Wood Elves is almost symbiotic in nature. In exchange for safety and the protection of the woodland spirits, the Wood Elves protect the forest and execute trespassers fervently. The woodland spirits protect the Wood Elves through their living trees and guardians, and the magic they offer. Elves in Warhammer Fantasy are divided into three separate sub-races: High, Wood, and Dark Elves. High Elves hang on to their once thriving empire with a grim determination and still try to protect the world from some of the worst dark forces out there. Dark Elves are the opposite: cruel slavers and hedonists that revel in violence and pleasure. And before you ask, yes, there is some correlation with Slaanesh there. The Dark Elves feel that they are the rightful rulers of the Elven Kingdom, while the High Elves think otherwise. The Wood Elves are just content to sit in Athel Loren. And, finally, what are "The End Times" that the mod's title refers to? *ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AT ALL.* More information to be included if necessary in later parts.
Very happy to see a new RimWorld series! Of note, unless a mod changed it, night owls prefer to sleep between 1100 and 1800. You will get more mood boosts if you match that exactly.
For the colony's name i'd go for something along the lines of "Keep Of Decay", since the undead will not be very preserved for long, even in the Wastes of the far North. Other than that, as others already suggested, i'd keep around a few other living pawns. With Rimworld of Magic, there's at least 3 other "evil" classes that could fit well with a Necromancer: Blood Mage, Deathknight and Warlock/Succubus.
I really like how you combine the stories from other games in the intro. It makes you want to watch them and adds a lot of flavor. I really like your work keep it up rycon.
I love the fact you play a Necromancer with only Undead with the powers of Warhammer and Elder Scrolls. But if i MUST be honest, the best and most OverPower Necromancy of ALL is the Mortal Kombat Nekromancy. Seriously the Necromancy in that Universe is so OP that made Sindel pratically a Goddess!
Been binging through your Bran playthough of CDDA on the main channel and this is the first thing of yours I've watched outside of that and I'm honestly stoked to see the quality of your content has stayed consistent since then! loving your stuff so far.
This man just naturally sounds like a narrator that is something I have never seen normally people need a voice changer so this sounds really cool as if I'm watching someone read me a story with a video on it
How in the world did he get all the factions to bunch up so NEATLY?! I’d LOVE for that, instead of having to reroll the map SO. MANY. TIMES. just to HOPE I get a decent place without having to choose between a desert or being surrounded by pirates!
I am new to your channel, and I just wanted to say, that you are a very good story teller, the intro was amazing and I subscribed right there, good job, I love it:)
What you need is it the faceless or shapeshifter class They can wear the zombies as a living breathing armour An increase the zombies manipulation above 50% 😅 top class synergy I used my immortal army to build me an I've base in the petroleum fields the modded creatures out there liked to dig up bodies
Whooo! You let out there was a rimworld series coming, love the angle. Similar(ish) mechanics were just touched upon in previous series, fun to see a deep dive with a familiar face!
@@ryconplays Oh for sure. Lots of good stuff in there. Took me a while to find the previous Hilma videos. Maybe put a link to the previous playlist in the description when you continue a veteran character?
I am so excited for this series. I loved your skyrim stories and seeing it here just makes me so happy... and makes me wonder how many years I have watched now haha. Good years of content though no matter what.
I dont know if you have been told or not but in the skill window with the raise dead skill at the top left you can see your mana regen rate, i believe that takes into account the mana needed to sustain the undead minions.
When you kill tuscore you should have revived them again because that would mean it would probably have another chance to be zombified again so it wouldn't starve
A slight recommendation that might be good to consider when you reform your fluid ideology is to set tattered apperral to: "dont care" that way you don't constantly get the alert for it.
As a grind set after a raid. Raise dead, release undead, consume corpse till mana to repeat raise dead again. Grind the dead up into mana while raising your power.
Dunno if this has been fixed, but I think when I did this years ago my undead wouldn't save their work priorities between revivals, so that was annoying.
you have the same pacing to your speech as the g man has from half life 2. now that i heard it, i cant unhear it even if i try to will this thought out of existence.
I'm pretty sure the author of the magic mod said that the cult mod has a built-in patch that removes the undead limit for the necromancer. This is easy to check by hovering the mouse over mana regeneration in the character class tab. If zombies are not listed as a debuff to mana regeneration, then I'm right and zombies are endless and beautiful.
If you wish to see the origin of Manos Dravil you can find him in Seeking Sovngarde here ua-cam.com/video/49LAijl0o2Q/v-deo.html
Came to watch Rimworld on my lunch. Immediately shown a goblin creature with a gullet full of live maggots... Thanks for helping me diet! lol
Is the rule about not having nobody exclude everyone alive?
I ask since In the original story he only accepted 2 or 3 people in his party at a time
I assumed that would be the norm again
We might make special exception for exceptional folk. But for now he will be alone
@@ryconplays afaik you cant give roles to undead so it might be necessary to take advantage of ideoligion roles.
Ah the bane of Skyrim he “lives” again

I LOVE finding these playthroughs months later so I can binge watch it all in a week :) love this!!
I still remember that epic undead siege of Whiterun with those undead giants. Manos is one ambitious, crazy guy.
Been binging through your Bran playthough of CDDA on the main channel and this is the first thing of yours I've watched outside of that and I'm honestly stoked to see the quality of your content has stayed consistent since then! loving your stuff so far.
Just found your series, have to say that i love your commentary voice, it sounds like a audiobook combined with playthrough. Love it!
It me! More invested now~ Thanks for the name placement! Love to see more (Yup, Riq is pronounced Rick)
The intro to this was like the greatest crossover ever made
This man just naturally sounds like a narrator that is something I have never seen normally people need a voice changer so this sounds really cool as if I'm watching someone read me a story with a video on it
just stumbled across the latest episode on my dashboard, i love the storytelling you do, haven't watched much, but you've got my sub
How in the world did he get all the factions to bunch up so NEATLY?! I’d LOVE for that, instead of having to reroll the map SO. MANY. TIMES. just to HOPE I get a decent place without having to choose between a desert or being surrounded by pirates!
Looks interesting!
The start reminds me of the Anime "overlord" a lich that has to deal with being in a new world xD
What a gameplay and story. It was a superb video. And I can't wait to watch all of Manu's story from the beginning until the end.
The return of Manos!!! The hands of fate are with him lol.
18:55 "Just minding my own business and OW MY LIVER EXPLODED"
Oh, wow. I am so conditioned to that background music around 30m in. Immediately brought back memories of Dusk.
Im barely two minutes into the video and I can already tell this is going to be an absolute banger.
best series ever! necromancy forever lol
Your voice is why I just subbed, that's some top tier narrator voice
i can almost hear the horse going "wake the fuck up samurai"
Ok, I’d love to see a mod list for this. Seems like it could make for some fun possibilities.
I am new to your channel, and I just wanted to say, that you are a very good story teller, the intro was amazing and I subscribed right there, good job, I love it:)
Another grand adventure on the Rim begins. Looking forward to more.
This new Rimworld series seems very promising. More please, I crave more!!!!!! Thank you very much for this Mr. Rycon. Cheers!
ive been addicted to this game, good timing.
What you need is it the faceless or shapeshifter class
They can wear the zombies as a living breathing armour
An increase the zombies manipulation above 50% 😅 top class synergy
I used my immortal army to build me an I've base in the petroleum fields the modded creatures out there liked to dig up bodies
Whooo! You let out there was a rimworld series coming, love the angle. Similar(ish) mechanics were just touched upon in previous series, fun to see a deep dive with a familiar face!
Oh i love the map and the circle design. Its feels like a evil wizard tower even without the ability to make floors in rimworld.
I've done a very similar playthrough a couple years back. Very excited for this series. Thanks a bunch for this Rycon!
I wish these videos always had the mod list :(
I got here watching your latest CCDA series and didn't realize your other content was this good. I'll have to go back through your catalog.
Even more on the other channel too 😊
@@ryconplays Oh for sure. Lots of good stuff in there. Took me a while to find the previous Hilma videos. Maybe put a link to the previous playlist in the description when you continue a veteran character?
entirely new and entirely excited! can't wait to watch more when i have time!
new rimworld content creator? you have my utmost gratitude.
Manos: The Hands of Fate in Rimworld... SIGN ME UP !!
That was the most epic intro I ever heard
I am so excited for this series. I loved your skyrim stories and seeing it here just makes me so happy... and makes me wonder how many years I have watched now haha. Good years of content though no matter what.
The spirit of Blue Quail lives on!
The effort you place into these videos is immaculate
I dont know if you have been told or not but in the skill window with the raise dead skill at the top left you can see your mana regen rate, i believe that takes into account the mana needed to sustain the undead minions.
Well, what a pleasant surprise! Looks like this will be a wild time. Excellent Episode as always, and looking forward to the next!
Very nice! Excited for this series. Rimworld always makes for some great stories.
Like your thinking on that
This is my first video of yours I've watched and may I say, I love your voice
basically funny polar bear man except funny and bear is removed leading to man only, will watch
19:15 "Liver? More like dier!"
Ah yes, this must be the alternate evil version of Hecil Tombs. Can't wait to watch this.
Thank you ytb recommendations for allowing me to discover this cool rimworld player
I'm super excited for a new RimWorld series. I'm looking forwards to this one. 👀
Rycon never disappoints
lol first time ive seen this channel, props to the storytelling intro very kewl
Love the crossover! What a fun new series
Adding a title to Manos’ name for each episode:
Manos, destroyer of livers.
i wish i had the mod list i would so love to try this
Video 5 he talks about the modlist
great thanks for that! Very clear and articulate!
Manos is back😳 can't keep a good necromancer down 💪
Hope we will have access to your collection! Continue the good work!
had to subscribe, your voice is just too soothing.
As a grind set after a raid. Raise dead, release undead, consume corpse till mana to repeat raise dead again. Grind the dead up into mana while raising your power.
tbh this seems very interesting, itd be fun to see how another fun rimworld mod ive seen would interact with this.
Very excited for this series. Thank you for the content.
This series is going to be a blast!
Wait a god-damn minute did this man just say Kia Ora?
😉👍
Manos returns! None shall escape his Hands of Fate
Looking forward to this new series, keep up the awesome work Rycon
This is rad as magic
Alright then watching a new Narrative as Manos finds himself... in the Hands of Fate.
Wow, the narrative ... I love it!
Welp, this will be an interesting experience for the RCU.
Dunno if this has been fixed, but I think when I did this years ago my undead wouldn't save their work priorities between revivals, so that was annoying.
Copy paste from another undead.
you have the same pacing to your speech as the g man has from half life 2. now that i heard it, i cant unhear it even if i try to will this thought out of existence.
Yes... YES. Place the Rimworld DIRECTLY in my mouth. I must partake of its essence.
I'm sure someone has mentioned this, but I'm not seeing it anywhere. Athel Loren would be high elves, not dryads. Very excited for this playthrough!
Ashenfell or Ashes' Grasp are my suggestions for settlement name.
Looking forward to the undead legion to wreak havoc.
MORTY IM IN RIM WORLD MORTY IM USING FUCKING MAGIC
-Truly new rick an morty plot.
