    You’re correct… what part refers to what tribe are you from … and that kind of helps you relate more with the person.

    He is a comedian so he'd put it in a way to make people laugh. Hahaha.
    But an average Nigeria says it the way he feels or sees it, no PC, with confidence. To foreigners, it does sometimes come off as aggressive.
    And yes, like you rightly noted, Nigeria is country of many nations/ethnicities of diverse cultures. So when you meet a fellow Nigerian, knowing which part of the country he comes from helps you in your interactions with them.

      But it's a show, performed in America!
      I think he sounded and acted more like Prince Hakeem (Eddie Murphy in Coming To America)!
      He (Godfrey) had to pander to get the laughs ! It worked!!
