Same story with my dad. I gave him a clone of sauvage not the same but has a close dna more of an older people scent clone, and now after he passed away i have this old new attachment to Sauvage.
We are getting to the point where you can almost do a 'best of' video for Lattafa and Afnan.

They are constantly making better and better stuff though I'm realistically waiting on laliques next big release though and have been wanting to get ombre noire forever just hard to find

Because they DO Clones, it doesn't mean that EVERYTHING they produced is a clone! People are always trying to pin their fragrance to something else. It's not fair. Thanks, Ash, for that clarification.
Sadly it's also getting to the point that it's hard making a (new)scent profile without it smelling like something else..that's why in some cases you have to do lil twist and tweaks just to make it something kinda different and newish.

Recently got Rave, and that thing pushes for like 4 hours. Total 7-8 hours on me. Not often that you find something that projects at least half of the scent life.

I put 2 sprays of qaed al fursan and 4 sprays of CDIM EDP and I get a beautiful result? pretty much a Pineapply batch of creed aventus style, try it out, it works for me

They seem very very close, 90-95% identical. Just Qaed al fursan is sharper to the nose. Rave now is just a little bit smoother.

Been waiting for your thoughts on this one. After wearing Qaed al Fursan for a few months, its great quality for the price, but the birch tar gets too much for me now and almost burns my nose. And dont worry, you pronounced Qaed el Fursan almost perfectly the second and third time!

@@trinihotep5657 on my skin, around 4 to 6 hours of projection, and after that it'll hang around as a skin scent for maybe 8 hours. It's a very good performer for a fresh scent!

QAF smells like it has a touch of BR540. It smells like the clone houses that mix Aventus and BR540, honestly. It’s actually really good for a cheap, easy wear.
i have a clone of br540, ana abiyedh rouge, and i feel the same. But i dont like it at all, and its totally feminine. QAF i like a lot more, but it seems to be weak, even after many sprays.
My coworker said same thing when I wore Quaed. I told him what it was. He bought it.
QAF is not weak in my experience. I keep getting whiffs of it as it dries down and seems to get stronger as well.
layer it with a vanilla based fragrance. I tried Rave Now with Lavanila - Vanilla and Coconut.
I combined Le male with it and it smells great

You are very correct!! If it has pineapple it's automatically compared to Aventus
I heard pineapple and thought the same thing ... then heard layering and thought hmmmm pineapple + CDNIM = Aventus.
Maybe I'm lucky that I just encountered Aventus last year ( because I hate being treated like a potential thief in fancy schmancy perfume shops in my place so avoid them like dogshit) but when I hear pineapple perfume first thing that comes to my mind is Madawi by Arabian Oud. 😅

Yeap the rave now is a beast and i go nose blind, i normaly layer it with cdnim or afnan supremacy silver, man o man do i get compliments.
I can't wait until my order of Rave comes in so I can try layering CDNIM EDT and Afnan Supremacy.. I bet it's fire🔥🔥.
I've got both and prefer Lattafa Qaed. And agree, it does not remind me PR at all.

Is the qaee al fursan a ambre nuit alternative? Or is it to cheap. Or do you know a cheap dior ambre nuit alternative which performs good?

The only scent that smells very like Ambre Nuit is 40 Knots by Xerjoff.

IMO…I think Qaed Al Fursan smells more like Black XS L’Exces not the original. Though L’Exces doesn’t have pineapple as a note it smells like it does.
i dont think so, lexces smell nothing like pineapple. maybe a little bit in the opening but then goes on a different way. im looking for a pineapple bomb like bogoss but last longer. do you think qaed al fursan is a pineapple bomb ?
Nobody mentioned the original Vibrant Leather Bogoss as a pineapple bomb? 🤔 Candied, almost tropical, but definitely a similar accord. 🍍Something tells me they reformulated it in the newest iteration... Plus Zara keep on raising those prices, so it might not even be worth it anymore. Still a fun scent tho.
I'd prefer tht over any pinnaple fragrance out there... fresh, more fruity less sinthatic, barely offensive and the best pinnaple bomb for me.. a decent appeal from zara !

I ordered a bottle of Qaed al fursan, but after lot of great and hyped reviews I'm disappointed. It's like a skin scent, I can barely smell it, where is the huge sillage and great longevity? Maybe my bottle has newer batch. I don't feel the pinapple bomb either, more like a light citrus with birsh. Btw I like the smell, but the non-existent projection. I had Swiss arabian Shaghaf Man, this perfume smells more pineapple than Fursan, more fruity and sweet too, I think Shaghaf is better, however I hade issues with the projection too.

Wait wait wait... Rave Now has MORE pineapple than QaF?!? QaF literally smells like a can of sliced pineapples. I could understand it being a different style of pineapple, but I honestly can't imagine MORE pineapple.
Have you tried Rave Now, I got QaF but if I knew Rave was better I would have gotten it
@@blackknightdl No, I haven't bothered picking it up because I have soo many pineapple fragrances already. Just recently got Afnan Supremacy Not Only Intense and it's insanely strong and good. QaF smells great but it completely disappears from skin in less than an hour.

I just got Qaed Al Fursan and I wish it has more 🍍. Reason I bought it was the reviews said it is a mix of a Aventus and Baccarat Rouge 540. It does have that feel but I need the 🍍 to have more pop, more freshness and sweetness.
Qaed al fursan combined with Le male or any vanilla scent smells great

I just got my bottle of Rave Now. I can smell the pineapple 🍍 but it is kinda lite IMO. Does it get stronger/fruitier as time goes by? Does this fragrance need to macerate before it delivers it's true potential or does it deliver when first sprayed?

I go nose blind so easily to frags. I go mega nose blind to CDNIM edt and the LE version, I can't even make it to the heart and dry down of CDNIM! At first I thought they were weak and needed to shelve for a while, but my fiancee asked if I re applied because I was filling the room and that was around 4 hours of applying. Honestly I think my shave soap from Stirling Soap Co ruined my sense of smell lol. Their Margaritas in the Arctic Glacial line is INTENSE!
Would you recommend buying the LE cdnim if I already have the EDT and enjoy it? Also if you’re going to wear CDNIM try stirling soaps executive man soap, it’s an aventus type scent that layers super well with it.
@@TeyCallMeBigMac I would still give the LE a try because it is a great scent. I prefer the original edt but I am glad I bought the LE because it satisfied my curiosity about it. I do have Stirlings Exec man in the aftershave as well as Haverford which is 10/10! I also have Doppelganger Grey (aftershave cologne/splash and star jelly) from PAA which is an Adventus dupe and I think it is better than Stirlings version.
Don't ever buy the limited edition CDNIM if you don't care about the fancy presentation. It smells EXACTLY the same as the regular parfum (And you get 150ml instead of 105ml with the limited edition).
Limited edition only refers to the fancy presentation. Armaf explains that in their advertising explaining that the limited edition is a good option if being purchased for a gift.
LE/regular parfum if you have a problem with the lemon blast opening of the edt (that lasts less than 30 minutes) and the edt if you want better projection (parfum is more smooth and toned down with less projection)

Another great pinapple fragrance is Vivamor by Navitus parfums it has a very realistic smelling pinapple note that I love

I haven’t smelled Rave Now, but to me Qaed Al Fursan is a blend of Aventus and BR540.
Just received al fursan today and that is exactly what I smelt Aventus layered with br540 it's a lovely fragrance at an amazing price 👍

I finally received my bottle of Rave Now today. I used it for the first time. I did noticed the pineapple 🍍 fragrance but it seems lite to me. I am not sure if that's how it's supposed to smell or not. Due to other comments, I was expecting a heavy/strong scent of pineapple 🍍. I was wondering if Rave Now gets better with time? If this fragrance needs to macerate for a few weeks/months before it can truly perform? Most Middle Eastern fragrances do. Not sure what to think about Rave Now so far.
It performs extremely poorly on me too. I almost can't smell anything. No one in my household can smell it either. Very thin
yes allot of off brand parfums need to age (macerate) since they dont do it in their storages like the big brands :)

I bought a bottle of rave now just two weeks ago and it's extremely strong. I bought it to layer it with cdnim edt. Man I really only need to spray one spray of rave now and 4-5 of cdnim.
To me Qaed is too linear, the pineapple is a bit too much for me.

Just picked this up. To me, in the air, this smells similar to le beau but with a blast of pineapple in the open.

Would love to hear your thoughts on Lattafa Opulent Red, Opulent Oud, Opulent Musk & Blue Oud. I love the Red (even though it leans slightly feminine) & just ordered the rest but not yet smelt them.
Same! there’s a note in Opulent Oud that just turns me off but super interested to know what men think about it
@@njjohn4254 I've got all 4 now & I know what you mean. They all have quite a skanky opening, but after 30 mins they settle down & smell quite nice. There's quite a bit of development in them, too. Not masterpieces, by any means, but for the price they're really good quality. Opulent Red is still my favourite.

You need to compare them to Black XS L'Exces, not the original XS.

I bought it from Jomashop!I don't think the performance is better than normal edp except the initial blast which can make you to cough if sprayed at the back of ear.Don't take my word for it though,let the reviewers do their job but I don't think they need the extreme version(extrait de Parfum)when the edp is a beast mode already.Just take it as the various variant of armaf CDNIM.
Qaed Al Fursan smells like Ana Abiyedh Rouge by Lattafa with a lot more depth. Can`t pick up pineapple or similarities to Armaf cdnim (i don`t own the originals BR540 and Aventus)

This is really confusing , because i feel like Qaed is a very 'close to skin' scent. I can spray 10 times, and still it seems weak. If its nose blindness, then why many ppl find it to be weak, also on fragrantica votes are more on weaker side. Considering its price, does good performance sound realistic?

I bought this recently and I like it although I felt its a little too sweet. I was wondering what this smelled like since I did own something similar in the past. I thought a lot for a couple of days and then realized that this smells similar to 212 VIP men by Carolina Herrera. Why do you do a comparison with this and let me know what you think of my thoughts on the similarities.

The problem with rave, is that it doesn’t last at all. Maybe I get nose blind really fast, but for me I smell nothing after an hour.
