Something was wrong with the 2020 guy. He knew is was 2020 and would not let you visually inspection it in his presence. Also he was wrong in blocking you from getting in to your truck, and don't forget taking 2 spots. You handled him great.
Problem is the car is still not registered and tagged correctly. The car owner should not have the option of paying the drop fee if the car’s registration is not up to date. Car should be towed and the owner can get the updated plates/registration before getting it released from the tow yard.

I just dont understand how they release a car with bad plates. Make that dude go to the yard, with the proper stickers, before it it released again. Here, if the plates are expired, you can be damn sure the police is going to take away the plates, and they even actively search out plates, that are expired in the system. Drive by an ANPR camera police unit, and they will turn around and take away your plates.

When that first guy kept telling you to check the back of his car for the tag, I was concerned that he might jump you and hurt you. He acted very strange and I'm glad you got out of there safely.
Thanks for the videos keep up the good work! A few points to consider: 1. He ran out of his apartment and tracked down the tow truck. How many other people ran out? Just him...., that tells me he knew he was going to get towed and was listening for the truck. 2. He had an oversized license plate frame. That was to hide the expired registration sticker. 3. 7:46. "I didnt call them this time, but I've called them in the past." So he got stickered before , probably a few times, he called, got an extension, but the last time they probably said......No more extensions, don't bother calling, the car will be towed. 4. So someone with a nice Lexus can't get registered? Seems a bit odd, maybe he lost his job due to covid, or it might not be his car and the owners are out of the area/country? Anywho just a few thoughts.

1. He ran out of his apartment and tracked down the tow truck. How many other people ran out? Just him...., that tells me he knew he was going to get towed and was listening for the truck.
2. He had an oversized license plate frame. That was to hide the expired registration sticker.
3. 7:46. "I didnt call them this time, but I've called them in the past." So he got stickered before , probably a few times, he called, got an extension, but the last time they probably said......No more extensions, don't bother calling, the car will be towed.
4. So someone with a nice Lexus can't get registered? Seems a bit odd, maybe he lost his job due to covid, or it might not be his car and the owners are out of the area/country?

I was never a tow trucker, but BELIEVE ME, in my career as an alarm systems service tech., I have had to deal with my share of CRAZIES being in a service job and dealing with the "general public" on a daily basis!
