"Leave him alone, he has no shoes!" is a pretty good crowd heckle.
Meanwhile, Kasey Catal was somehow able to maintain her balance on a steel cage _in high heels!_
A++ heckle
Anytime someone tells you women's wrestling just isn't as exciting.. throw on a Manami Toyota match. Old school Joshi just hits differently.
It was basically the Kumite. An 80's or 90's Joshi match without at least one broken neck was considered a dull affair.
I've got absolutely no problems with joshi wrestlers (especially the ones from the late 80s and early 90s)...but most of them got ruined by poor booking/bad gimmicks when they showed up in the US (Rhonda Sing/Bertha Faye, Terri Power/Tori, even Aja Kong and Bull Nakano were toned way down for their matches here).
@Alsebra There is no arguing that fact. Every wrestler is different. I was a wrestler for about 10 years, and I can only speak for myself, but we know. I worked way more stiff than a dude working in Nashville, probably should have, but I loved Misawa, haha.
There was nobody telling me to do crazy shit that caught up with me in the long run. I did it because i wanted to.
I get that people only want wrestlers to be safe, and that is a good thing. That won't stop wrestlers from going 2 steps beyond where people think they should, though. Things are much better these days, though.
@@citizenbrain8065, what I never got about the WWF/WCW was that they didn't really mess much with the male talent during exchanges (for example, they didn't really touch some of the early luchadores, nor did they muck about with the mini-estrellas much), but they all but neutered the joshi ladies heavily...even the Jumping Bomb Angels (who were likely the most well-known joshis at that time in the US) had to adjust their style somewhat.
80s/90s Joshi was SO far ahead of its time!!
Holy Smokes those Japanese female wrestlers made me winch more than once.,
An 80's or 90's Joshi match without at least one broken neck was considered a dull affair.
3:22 "WHAT THE FAAAAAAAAUCK"😂😂😂
Japanese wrestling: "what's neck safety?"
An 80's or 90's Joshi match without at least one broken neck was considered a dull affair.
09:07 "She missionary pinned her!" lol
I was going to point that out lmao.
Just think about the pullout!
3:21
What that Faaaaaaawwkkkkk! 😂😂
That powerslam from the top rope did not look she was trying to protect her opponent (or victim) in any way, shape or form
6:00 - lights out
12:30 - That Spiral Tap was brutal.
The fire alarm during the gacy and tremont match was annoying to the point i skipped the whole match
The show was pretty good tho
Also the typical falling or putting someone down the cage was a crazy spot in the kirk and lloyd match
@8:31 Table of Japan
12:30 that Tornado from hell made sure it was 12:43 😂.
Commentary for Pro Wrestling EVE always sound like they just don't want to be there
Which is REALLY infuriating considering that was Mayu Iwatani in that ring. 😤😤😤 Next to Iyo Shirai, that’s literally the royalty of Stardom. 🤌
I cant think of a better clash of styles than Necro Butcher vs Human Tornado.
Excellent compilation
2:32 Who hired the announcer? 😒 Joey Styles, we miss you!
This is damn good part.
8:40 gigity
8:36 this one is better giggity
someone call 911
Absolute fucking insanity!!!
8:32 I Am The Table!! / Very Very Very Breaky Breaky Breaky Bishi BISHIIIIIII!
0:28 We all run that fast when we have to use the can, don't we? LOL
Probably the hardest hitting video yet
1:05 Didja catch that little back tapping signal?
It's always a little weird seeing the iggy used on-screen...but it's by far the weirdest version I've seen.
I looked up XPW on a whim - and believe it or not, they're back from the dead. Edit: I realize I may be late to the party with this info.
9:40 is that Jonathan Gresham with dreads???...🤨
No. I said his name before Labron Kozone. Gresham also hasn't grown 6ft tall.
@@bdwjforever6980Aha! Didn't see him on the apron there. Fair play 👍🏻
OMG
11:30.
Was that Booker T at the announcer table?
I'm fairly certain that, since Booker has been on a WWE contract since the WCW buyout, him appearing as a commentator for an unaffiliated promotion within that promotion's time (2021-present) would be rather unlikely (especially since Booker has been commentator in WWE since at least 2018).
Pretty sure that's caprice coleman
All right, thanks.
The good stuff here really stands out but the bad just really shows you how shit wrestling can be.
Someone Call 911
Grace looked better with the thickness IMO, shes too jacked up now
SHUT UP MOM BDWJ JUST POSTED ANOTHER OMG VIDEO
I hate how the indy wrestler took an amazing move like the canadian destroyer and made it irrelevant
What the fuuuuuuuuuuu?😂
Does...does this mean we can start calling Pierre Carl Ouellet "PCO-X" (or "peacocks")? That's definitely PCO flinging Sonjay down like a sack of crap...
So thats his name!
@@arenasviscatanius, aye. The man wrestling as PCO in the business has been doing so since 1987 (notably as part of The Quebecers/The Amazing French Canadians in WWF/WCW while paired with Jacques Rougeau and less notably as Jean-Pierre LaFitte, a wrestling pirate gimmick that predated "Pirate" Paul Burchill); not only has he been doing this for nearly 40 years, but he's been doing it with a rather serious handicap: when he was young (12 or so), he ended up losing sight in his right eye.
Human tornado >
Who are those 2 Japanese women trying to legit kill each other?
0:55
Read what's on the screen.
I've seen worse than that.
There have been some rather vicious feuds throughout the Japanese promotions...in fact, there was a tag team match years ago between two teams from rival promotions that looked stiff as hell; it looked for all the world as though the women were actually trying to hurt each other.
To answer the question, though, it's Minami Toyota in the black and Kyoko Inoue in the multicolored outfit. Oftentimes, the names on the screen are in the order of the person performing the offensive maneuver followed by the one absorbing the attack (in some earlier clips, the names were either missing (due to trouble researching the match) or switched around...but it seems to have been fixed for some time).
@@popculturewatch8689 🤣😂🤣 chill bro I was high asf when I watched this
Imagine paying money to watch Tessa Blanchard wrestle at an XPW event in 2024 😂
11:53 SOMEONE CALL 9-1-1!!
11:20 holy fk
