September 2019: Everything piling up on me finally broke me down, and I had a full blown meltdown. I tried to deal with it like I was used to handling it before. October 2019: I wasn't able to deal and it finally got to the point that I was checking myself in the hospital on suicide watch. November 2019: This song dropped. Talk about fucking timing. Almost two years later, I'm doing much better since I got help and got on meds that work. The meds are a huge help, but I gotta say that this song dropping when it did helped me get through my breakdown more than anything. Just goes to show you never know what will happen next, and the timing of it is downright spooky sometimes.

It’s nice to see non-metal fans reacting to these types of songs. On the mental health side of things, from my experience it can be tough. I’ve reached many low points personally but could never admit to it because of the stigma…and then when people like me snap were made out to be the villains to some extent. I'm an emotional sponge, and too much of that, I would absorb the anger and frustration and not understand where these weird emotions I'm feeling are coming from. (Life of an empath.) The singer himself is practically the band and writes all the music and lyrics. He has a very troubled past, beginning in his childhood, including drugs, prison, PTSD, depression, Panic attracts, etc but it's constantly working to get better for the last 15 years. He's always very open about his feelings in his songs and personally feel they are motivating, because he overcame so much and is an amazing person despite not being perfect.
I'm a total emotional sponge/empath myself and at 55 years old I was pretty set in my musical ways and never wanting to soak up the negatives but there is something about Falling in Reverse's music, and the way Ronnie sings these songs that in some odd way it acts as a way to purge. It's almost like shadow work.
I came here to hit like and go listen to you do the trilogy first. Someone once told me to do those first than this an the story makes more sense and they were right.
