Mercedes is the benchmark. I will have a suggestion either is EV or ICE engine. The door is the problem. If you don't have a leap at the top of the door for tall people for instance is a problem. Should be redesign the door otherwise when you get on the car is going to hit your head. I hope you take in consideration this issue. Thanks
Everything is excellent. I was hoping for GLB hybrid or electric and this is it but however there is one mayor flaw ... range is BULLSHIT. 416 km with one charging, which means probably around 300 in real life, that is unacceptable for me.
Seems to have more cabin space for 7-passengers than Model X, but 3rd row is still only for tiny humans. No frunk is disappointing and wouldn’t have software / charging of Tesla but otherwise pretty good. How does it compare to the Model X on range and price?
Rose gold looks awsome. I'm not fan of rose gold iPhone, but for a car it is really something unique and I think this color is going to sell the mqb well.
Yeah Tesla has this and that range. That's nice. I drove M3 and MX 2020 and Tesla has super acceleration but that's it. Tesla does not care about noise/sound insulation and this makes the difference. VW/Audi/Mercedes may have lesser range but more noise insulation = more weight and lesser range. Maybe one does not care if max. speed limit is 100km/h but above that you can clearly feel and hear why Tesla is not (yet?) able to compete with traditional manufacturers in term of ride quality, noise insulation and build quality.
@@chrisk-yt sure Tesla still could improve, but these are details in comparison with the range and the ease of use. A Mercedes can offer as much luxury as it is possible, I won’t buy it if it not able to do the minimum: drive long, not to consume a lot, charge everywhere easily
@@AlexAlex-tj8hy it's been proven time and time again that Tesla doesn't even come close to their estimated range. Go watch Alex On Autos for an unbiased range review. Every company does their own range test cycle and Tesla tends to be more optimistic while everyone is more realistic. Also this EQB is a crossover where the M3 is a very low sedan, not really in the same ballpark.
@@jh5kl if you need to do it one time per month it is enough to make it be a problem. Taking Tesla for an axample is not being a fanboy it is just common sense. I would be really happy if the other car manufacturers would have a strategy as relevant and user focused than Tesla. People like you judging me as a Tesla fanboy are more dangerous than people like me that speak objectively. I just have the feeling that German car manufacturers do electric cars to have it in their offer but not really to make them be an interesting alternative.
Is the useable 67 kWh based on 100% charge and discharge or is it the capacity from 90% to 10 % ? Tesla data shows charging above 90% and below 10% regularly reduces battery capacity at a faster rate. In CA EV driving UA-camrs seem to report getting around 320 W/m. With a 10% reserve, this gives a 180-190 m range on a full charge. Is this enough to tackle the 200m ski trip to the Sierras or the 400 m LA to SF I5 "zombie drive" in a acceptable time?
I think mercedes is going in the wrong direction entirely, their biggest selling point used to be 'the best or nothing' like when they invested a literal billion dollars in developing w140, and it was the best car in the world, every aspect thought through and over-engineered, big margins of safety before any component fails, quality materials that don't wear, bulletproof reliable. You would buy a mercedes for a lifetime, so you would save up and pay the high price because you knew its the last expense you have to make and you'll be enjoying the quality long after you forgot about the price, and now they are just disposable consumables, get a lease for 3 years then hand it away, and if someone is foolish enough to buy one used they will be in the workshop every week
I think you should start being serious about EVs. Instead of spending a lot of time on the look you should realize that the most important issue is the range and charging. So instead of saying the range is going to be around 400 km, not very much, not very little, you should start measuring the range and say the truth about it, how it is in the city and on autobahn with different speeds and outside temperatures. As far as charging is concern it is time to start saying no one is going to charge to 100% outside its own home or garage. Usually people will be charging to 50-80% and here it is a very good occasion to explain why.
