During her IG live a few minutes before this dropped she said "Thank you to everyone who worked on this album" and then she smirked and said, "I mean this single." So I'm gonna clown and say that this might just be a pre-release and she will get at least an EP later this year?! PLEASE?! She is too talented to give her one 2 minute bop a year.
I think she might have liked or re-tweeted a tweet that asked if this was a pre-realese for her album, so we are possibly getting an album!

On first listen I was honestly a little bit worried that I wouldn't like the drop, but I was so happy when that bass came in. It absolutely slaps. And I also love the high school concept, this is a solid release. Fingers crossed that we do get more music from her soon 🤞

I know in most cases Quality over Quantity is preferred, but I really do want more from her as an artist. Also this song took a while to catch on for me, cos that drop was such a wild switch up (didn't realise Teddy produced it until the end) but after some more listens I finally started vibing, but I still think my fav track of hers is 'Outta My Head'.
tbh i also felt that way about the rap at first but thinking about how the format of the song is going back and forth between putting on an act in front of your crush like “omg i’m so scared of bugs! pls protect me 🥺” and inside really being like “🙄 it’s just a bug but lmfao i have you wrapped around my finger” i feel like the rap is just 😚👌

From a fan comment》 i saw some people wanted TBL to give Somi an album. I think there's a misconception about what the Black Label is. They're not in the business of producing an idol to sell mini-albums. Somi has writing and/or producing credits on all her songs and has hinted that she has been working on an album for the past year. It's like asking TBL to give Zion T an album as it has been a while since he released new music.
She got to focus on finishing school on her first year under the label. They didn't pressure her to perform more or stack her with multiple comebacks in a year just to make bank.Beside, she's only 20 years old and the Black Label seems to be interested in nurturing her talents.
I think she's releasing an album this year. This feels so short because it's a side in the whole album. Like when are we getting that 'Watermelon Song' tho?

YG's policy of "less is more" when it comes to their girl groups/soloists......it really is doing these artists a disservice. Look at BLACKPINK....five years in and a few EPs, singles and one 8 track album? Somi...4 songs in over 2 years? It's not good enough. No wonder so many leave YG to actually have a chance of releasing more music.

I mean look at blackpink, I think they have around 24 songs .... 24, that's it. YG continues to pull this and the fans don't organize and do something about it - so, it'll continue. YG is money first, music company last
To give a comparison LE, Moonbyul, EXY, and Soyeon are credited in 77, 72, 63, and 49 and most of those are for their own groups. That is just credited songs, not the number of songs the group has.

I feel the same way about the rap part, is seems cheesy and a little out of place, is not bad, maybe if it was longer and had like a mockery vibe of the cheesy lyrics, like "im trying to be as corny as posibble with you because you dont seem to catch signals" it would fit better for the concept... don't know
