Was the previous braid out your preserving done with 4 braids as well? If you did more that's alot quicker technic! I'd like to try it. I have to do a lot of braids probably 20 I don't know off the top of my head. But if I only need to do 4 before bed that's awesome compared to like 20
you gotta gel and brush down your roots. like the gel is a relaxer basically to get those roots. do top and bottom (both sides of the hair) with a gel or edge control and brush roots down with a boar bristle brush, and then braid. your hair will lay down.
This has made me less scared of putting my hair ina puff. My hair has hella shrinkage (I have magic hair. Looks like shoulder. Is bra strap. When wet it shrinks to ear. )

Braid/Twist outs have no heat applied to the hair. The hair dries naturally. Silk press means your hair has been blown dry, flat ironed and/or hot curled

I do this method on my two stranded twist. I love the curliest of the twists. Great way to get longevity out of the style.
