Wonderful. Zipfels of norwich were clockmakers from the back forest went back to around 1807, and their tradition still goes on - and their name continues, in zipfel court that was named after them. Otherwise only a handful of such firms, now jewellers, survive
Our profession is driving ....I am clockmaker and I can restore clock complete ,dial ,case , polish the movement everything but no many people want fix clock ....the modern technology is kill us
I just love the attention to detail that is a must in this profession.
Thankyou for such a good demo of restoration. Jim from AUSTRALIA.
Thanks, Jim!
Thank goodness that the Bergeon Catalogs sell us all the tools that the watchmaker and the clockmaker need to continue this art.

Thanks for your comments. I'd hoped to make a series of films about 'dying trades'... maybe I still will!
Do the zipfels still have a shop some where or sell online?
Absolutely beautiful profession
The watch on his wrist is a Sinn. The man has good taste!
My favorite art/hobby from the past. Plus, I hate modern technology when it comes to clocks and making them
Very grounded sort of guy and realistic
