Got this guitar for doing some car work for a buddy. He offered me a 250$ jackson or this 250$ Schecter. I felt the schecter played better and never looked back. Its awesome. My goto for song writing and noodling around. Even over my 1000$ ESP. I reach for this puppy A LOT. Just one of those nice built nice price point. Get one.
I agree, bought a brand new c-6 and changed the electronics and pickups and now sounds more like a c-1 custom. Great fretwork and comfortable neck, great guitars for the money.
THANK YOU for making REAL reviews where you actually give positive AND negative aspects, instead of just saying it's amazing because a company sent you a guitar to play. I watched another Schecter video you did, liked the guitar better, and now will check out the Banshee
I own the Banshee and I love it! I have been playing professionally for 30 years, and I have owned Les Pauls costing 6 times the price, and I like Schecter better for heavy music.... Just my humble opinion... Cool review guys!
These lower end schecter guitars are often some of the best in their price because they sound legit, thick, deep and they stay in tune! Sometimes they don't have the best setups, just like many cheap guitars. But a good setup it's a good sounding and reliable guitar. And with some new pickups they sound just as good as guitars at 1000€, no joke. The one thing schecter needs to do in my opinion is to use some other fret inlays
Schecter makes the best guitars under 1000 bucks in my opinion. On another note, I just received a Hamstead Odyssey pedal and I'm blown away. It's awesome. It does so many things and covers so much ground without sounding like anything that's been done before. It's truly an odyssey of tone. In case anyone was wondering. It's my favorite pedal in some time and a very close second is the proanalogue devices manticore v2 or v3 whatever the newest one is. With the five knobs. There aren't any bad sounds in either box and they are both fantastic and they both play nice with other pedals. Honestly the other pedal this year that I love is the neo instruments drive in. Very versatile and plays very nice with other pedals. Great to push another pedal or amp or on its own. It does tubescreamer and more. The bass knob changes everything. My 2 cents on unrelated topics.
I bought this guitar yesterday and I've been playing it for hours, it's just a amazing guitar. It has a nice clean tones and overdrive tones. Best choice for this price. I am using it with Blackstar id core v3 20.

I have an 'old' and 'cheap' Schecter Blackhawk(?) Paid 100 euro for it. Absolutely love it! This looks like a nice addition! The only slight 'issue' is the high output pickups that become incredibly uncontrollable at volume and drive!
I was going back and forth on a few affordable guitar options to diversify /expand my home studio guitar arsenal and you two just sold me on this one. Thank you for the in depth and entertaining review. I just subscribed and liked, as well. Keep up the great work!

A good guitarist doesn't need a 1k guitar to sound good. Proper setup, and a good ear and hands is what makes your sounds. Good or bad is a matter of opinion
DadGamingAndGuitars: no professional would buy this, unless they need one as a back up. but it's more than good enough for a beginner or intermediate player that plays at home, only thing i would change on it are the pickups and those tuners. but it plays much better than Jackson's lower range or Ibanez Gio series, those two especially Jackson never seems to get it right with budget guitars. and Ibanez is kind of in the same boat, i had a Gio one time, it was ok but there were alot of problems. Jackson i never owned one of there's, but everytime i tried one of there budget series guitars in stores, they had problems with the cheaper floyd rose trem system which causes tuning issues. Schecter is the one company in that Ibanez and Jackson world that doesn't put a floyd on every budget guitar they make. there are good floyd rose trem systems out there, but on cheaper guitars there not utilized properly.
18:47 wait is this something form Huntress? I got this guitar, and I was genuinely impressed by it, I only tried it in guitar centre for 15 minutes, and I didn't try anything else after it.
Played one at a local store and this thing was as nice as my 1400$ LTD . Great , great fretwork too . For perspective , there was a 700$ Ibanez on the wall I picked up , a RG , and the fretwork was so bad , frets weren't even seated fully , tooling marks all over the wood , absolutely unacceptable job I never have seen worse , honestly . The Schecter was smooth as butter on both sides , and the neck profile was perfect , a nice blend of being thing but still having some area to support your palm . I'll be picking it up next paycheque for sure . 400$ is insane , if you handed me it blindfolded I'd would presume it was a 800-1200$ range !
326 doesn't get you a lot of guitar? what does that even mean? what is it missing? that is really my only question - what is it missing that's making it less of a guitar?
Better tone, playability, sustain etc.... these things are hard to articulate and can easily be felt when you play instrument. This thing works and it’s great for the money, but more expensive guitars are better tools for the job.
It all depends on what you are looking for in a guitar. I think it is a great little shred machine, can always change pups later for something to suit your style of play later down the road. At under 300, this is a steal.
