      How it works?

    • @manoj3813
      @manoj3813 3 роки тому +1

Every word you said resonates with me too. And with your permission I would like to explain the reason for this. Basically when we top a competitive exam it gives a high which is similar to huge dopamine kick but in a healthy way. So we naturally crave for higher dose by setting a bigger ambition.
And the reason even I didn't celebrate just like you is because we were pretty sure of the result that we will fetch a descent rank. Only people who celebrate madly are the ones who achieved something by luck for instance lottery etc. not the ones who worked hard for their goal. And I don't think we should achieve something to proove anyone. We must live our lives in our own terms. Hope I made sense sir😅

The problem with many of middle class students is that we do not live in present. Many of us will talk of future without living in present. Remember that life is too short, whatever the situation, we should try to find happiness in small things, Do not wait for utopian Life

I completely understands your point sir , Last few years I worked really hard and late hours to make up for my failures to compete with random strangers without realizing I am running a race which got no finish-line , While I was earning decent on my job I started taking up more work just to have more money in my account just to compete with some ABC person and whenever I crossed his achievements I had someone XYZ person in mind to compete with and so on , Realizing I don't even have time to make use of this money in my account , Just read on Saturdays and Sunday about investments and parked it there. I had no time for family , friends and always gave an excuse that I am working towards my career. Later I had a feeling I am working like a machine , I decided to cut off some work and its really peaceful having evening tea with my parents :).

Just coming here from the gratitude workshop, I wanted to thank you for being so candid and honest about your life for the betterment of others. Always looking at the next mountain to climb made me realize that I was also too focused on the future or maybe the delayed gratification to be had in the future, So I decided to stop and take a look around me. Thank you rajan I am grateful to you :).

You are narrating exactly my life. I have never felt happy with my achievements and looking for something new everytime I achieve my goal. I think a lot of middle class kids are brought up that way, to value achievements over everything else, to believe that they'll be happy ONLY when people think they've made something out of lives.
But I'm grateful for this video and also the realisation that hit me last year that I'm constantly going about life feeling inadequate over something that's just in my mind.

Thank you so much Sir for this awakening message which made me realise that purpose of life may be bigger but meaning of life lies in small things(in balanced life). 🙏

Excellent video. I made the first and second mistake throughout my life, but fortunately, not the third. I still find it quite a challenge to achieve a good balance between life and work, and I still always look for the next mountain to climb, but after learning many lessons in life, do take a moment to appreciate the mountain I am standing on as Rajan Singh has said. But this video clip has definitely got me thinking.

His life lessons are similar to Acharya Prashant's video - " Sahab Career bana rahe hai". He is lucky enough to even realise his mistakes otherwise we have so much of Ahankaar that we do not accept these mistakes and every next generationkeep on making same mistakes. The solution of such things is in Upnishads(Vedants) and Bhagwat Geeta. Life is very calm after coming in touch with Acharya Prashant and you Sir. Acharya Prashant also went to IIT,IIM and passed civil services exam.

Buried in financial pressures. Completely burned out preparing for those many exams. I didn't enjoy any party or occasions. Recently I realised mental strength is more important than anything so I took break from everything and after a while I' ll search for any decent job

Honestly, I feel that whatever you did was right at that moment and you were living in the present. I can completely correlate to the fact that why you did not celebrate after clearing IIT since I too didn't do the same and after clearing the exam there is no special feeling left. But I feel life is all about the choices we make. Had you not been strict with yourself and sacrificed so much in life, you wouldn't have achieved so much that you have. The reason why people listen to you is all because of the fact that you have good credentials and achieving those requires a lot of hard work. Please don't say that it was a mistake since you did whatever you thought was correct at that moment. Time in life is limited for all. We cannot achieve more than what time allows us to do. So we have to sacrifice good things in life in order to achieve something great.

You need to read the poem -
    The road not taken.
There are no mistakes in life. There are only choices. It all depends on our perspective.
    As Robert Frost said,
“No matter which road you take, you'll always sigh, and wish you'd taken another.”

  • @PradeepKumar-fp9sb

Every action has its own 3 dimensions-good,bad,ugly..
Thinking about future, not celebrating, seamless success making, is not at all a bad idea but the point here is to acknowledge is that it has also it's own severe consequences..
Just think of whatsoever the benefits and goodness that has been reaped from these 3 seeds.
But the spoken words are valuable treasure hunt that should be averted consciously..
    Thank u sir.
