I've been playing guitar since I was 9 years old! I graduated from university in 2018 completing a BMus Popular Music Performance course and managed to get a First Class Honours degree! Thank you. That song kept me going when my sister was dying of cancer.
I couldn't save her, but I always told her that that song was about me and her. She gave me purpose even in her sickness and death.
Me doing what I had to do for her, gave me purpose and reason to live.
So, in reality, though I could not save her,...she saved me.
Even though your sister is no longer here in this world she is alive and well in another!! She is just simply in another walk of life. Stand strong because death is not the end, you two will be reunited again!!

@Some Guy behave, femal guutarists have been overlooked since the 80's, they can have incrible skill and not be recognised by labels at all purely because of gender. Nita Strauss has spear headed it and the most known in more recent times. Stop throwing insults when you know very nothing about what I'm talking about. Just makes you look petty 😂

I hate looking at my guitar faces. To me they look ridiculous. Then again, I play air guitar so maybe that’s part of it.

We are both guitarists, and grew up listening to Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, and many other guitar greats. We both grew up in New York ( The Class Of 1982) , and have a deep appreciation of music, and amazing guitar players. So, since your video knocked my socks off, I`m sure it will for my friend as well!!
Not only are you an amazing guitarist, but you have the X Factor. What I mean by that is this, I`ve also had the pleasure of listening to Tina S from France. She is so skilled at what she does, no doubt about it. You are equally as talented as she is, however ............. Here comes the X Factor that you possess ... Love her, but this isn't branching out. This is perfectly within her wheelhouse, and that's fine with me. Branching out would be doing some Brad Paisley, also a fine guitarist.
Branching out as in covering different types of songs. I don't consider evanescence, nirvana, and the theme song for 28 days later to be the same genre.
@@steelignis6167 They are most certainly the same genre. It's called rock. I remember when Evanescence debuted on our local rock station, played alongside Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Breaking Benjamin, etc. Sophie is great, and she's great at rock. That's the genre that favors her style of intense, intricate sliding and shredding on an electric guitar.

Great cover, and love how you're sticking to the melody for the most part, then filling in where you can. Kinda makes the guitar sing a little more, as you're following what we would expect.
