What seems to have happened is he got bored and realised he was never gonna kill chase, or he was just *that* bad. Because assuming you go for the chug at the right time you can't really die with infinite estus unless you get one shot.

@@jacobesterson could be, after all he could always poise chug if need be with infinite fp and perseverance. Or he might've panicked, since I don't think the connection could be only and always be in his favour. That backstab at the end can't really be done on purpose. Or maybe Chase can, idk.

@Todd Derringer that's more of a misconception than anything else. I played DS3 on pc and I rarely ever ran into cheaters. You only really ever run into them in pontiff at meta level or in the woods at sl 30. And even then they're a rare occurrence. It's really not that much of a problem, although I'm not denying the possibility of running into one of these sad players. It shouldn't deter anyone from playing the game online on pc though.

He was totally lagging on purpose. The ending really gives it away. He just so happens to start having the worst lag in history right as he’s about to die? Unlikely. Good to see these losers put in their place 👍
the only sad part is that it's rare for these people to actually face a problem. Not everyone can punish them like Fighter and Chase.

I remember a guy at Pontiff tryharding against invaders and Aldritch's. Every time he started running he would get to the bridge heading down to the Giants, freeze in place for 10 seconds, and teleport a mile away to heal up and summon his friends. He did this at least 10 times in the exact same place, never did it anywhere else or any other time. It was too much of a coincidence to be just lag.
@jaredkushja1195this is a weird take. Prod and list dont do pvp to win and expose hackers. Prod does it to fuxk around and show off stuff like lost but also does other mods and games often. Fighter and chase are the pvp gods that out people like this on their place so i think your comparison is a bit rigged. Also sorry for randomly posting this 2 years later
In Dark Souls 3 a host can heal themselves a maximum of 26 times without cheats, 15 oostis, 10 seigs, and one divine blessing. If you ever get into a situation like this and you are counting estus remember this so you can leave if you want. With that being said, that dude is 100% a script kitty that thought her could kill Chase while he was cheating to say something along the lines of how bad he is.

Chase, I moved off-grid about a year ago and I can't play DS3 online anymore. It was my favorite way to pass time. For the last year I've been watching your videos as a substitute and they remind me of why I love dark souls. Thanks a bundle dude, your uploads keep me going some days.

My favorite part while watching the stream is just how long it takes for chase to realize that it’s a hacker and not someone with a lot of estus
Because if it turned out they were honest, it'd just be a shit excuse for feeling like he was at a disadvantage over, admittedly, really bad lag. But he only called them out when he was sure they'd healed too many times and it was pretty clear that the lag was likely manufactured.

@Zero Two I use the stat checker as an invader and instantly one shot the host with a sunlight spear hack if the host is stat hacking. Never got a hatemail from a single cheating, salty host yet. Love giving them a taste of their own medicine..
@@pytrem My go to is to have the stat checker/string watcher on, any values edited the curse dagger comes out. You can nullify the /dropcmnd
I try not to sink to their level and hack too. I just kick or smite them with a stat checker to get on with my day, and also I make absolutely sure that they're hacking before I do.

@@Feanor1988bis at 99 attunment you have 450 FP. BKS WA costs 10. I got to admit about halfway through I lost count due to how monotonous it was and counting off screen uses was getting hard, but he used the weapon art roughly 58 times [I kept losing count around 35 half way through due to just not being able to keep attention, too much background noise or a combination]
He had infinite FP. Likewise, 99 endurance nets you around 176 non FOP ring, with FOP+3 its 188. With a stability of 40, at max stamina it would take 2 hits from splitleaf greatsword to stam break. He took 6 without breaking guard once, in rapid succession. The 2 chase hit him with as he was trying to circle chase for a back stab, once before going for the combo then the 3 combo hits, and his guard wasn't broken. He didn't even do the animation of being low on stamina. Guarding has 5 animations based on the level of stamina. From 75% up you just slightly recoil back from the hit, very minor. At 50% to 75% this recoil becomes a light stagger back. From 25% to 50% it's a largely telegraphed stagger back that shows more movement in the arms as a "oh fuck my guard is about to break" sort of look. From 1% to 25% it's almost a full step backwards and the shield is nearly being knocked to the side, every hit makes it fall backwards quite a distance. At 0% you get the full broken guard animation which has a full step backward shield and weapon dropping to the side as they "reel" from the hit. This animation plays for weapon blocks as well.
None of those animations beyond the 75% to 100% went off at any point during his blocking even immediately after attacking 5 times with a great sword.
@@BigPanda096 I was thinking just about fp, as the stamina just has no other explanation. For the fp, I'm not sure, but I thought I noticed him chug some non estus stuff a couple of times, and one could've been the fp elixir. Not that it matters much, he was cheating either way.

I fought a hacker that did over 75 percent of my health in one swipe of the corvian greatknife, and when I backed up to switch to a better weapon he started throwing shit at me XD

Reminds me of the host I fought as a watchdog of Farron who healed six times before I had to heal once and then switched to a Friede scythe when he realized the duel dark hands was not working out for him, I was using Wulnir’s holy sword and an eternal oak shield

Not only was he cheating for infinite heals lag switching and possibly infinite stamina considering he didn't get guard broken but he had infinite FP since he spammed perseverance with out every drinking a blue the whole fight.

I met a guy lagging so hard on purpose on Xbox earlier he was hitting me from 4 feet away teleporting, and I still managed to kill him so sad that people have to use lag switches to get an advantage
