Anger really is the worst feeling in the world. It does nothing but destroy, and provides no satisfaction. It can drag anyone and everyone down into despair, so it is important that we do everything we can to refrain from it.
what a wonderful and soothing message from our prophet;for no one holds feelings of anger in his heart and has the comfort of the spirit, may everyone give heed to this wonderful message from the mind of God through his prophet
My grandfather and his brother had a disagreement over an inheritance from their father when they were young men. They never spoke again and went to their graves with mutual bad feelings. Too bad their couldn't hear this talk and forgive one another.
okay so we get it but my question is aren't there two types of anger? the first being mentioned in this video from being wronged and then the second anger caused from the evils of the world, a righteous anger. isn't it righteous to to hate all types of sin and not the person? would it be wrong to be lighthearted in the face of serious sins like adultery and murder? like what if i see a person get shot and i walk by like it's no big deal i wouldn't be angry but shouldn't i be angry?
Great question. I’ll give my first thought for what it’s worth. I think there is such a thing as righteous anger, but I think people struggle more with losing control of their unrighteousness anger than failing to act on righteous anger.
