As a sister American I agree with you 100%. When we are in another community whether it's a country or just visiting another state or county even, we are there as guests and should behave as all good guests should behave and respect the people for whom that place is home. It all comes back to the Golden rule.
That girl has to have a huge ego to even dream that she had the right to smack (YES THERE CLEARLY WAS CONTACT) one of the KING'S horses! He/She was letting the human know to back off. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. In fact, it's his job!
Unbelievable. I think the only reason she got away with smacking the horse three times was her hand was hidden from view by her body, from the guard's perspective. He knew something was making his horse react that way, but couldn't see her hand till she leaned back and it was in clear view. Disgusting entitlement. I hope the police caught up with her and there were consequences for her brazen idiocy.
The fact that not only they hit the horse three times, but they also mocked the guard by saying, "But he's super fat" in spanish is super disrespectful.
Where do these people think they are and why do they feel so entitled to be rude AND cruel by slapping that beautiful horse THREE times. Kudos to the Royal Guard by letting her know that rudeness is not tolerated.
The guards have every right to shout at them don't disrespect them and there horse. They are on duty both of them. you want to take pictures don't get close to them. So many tourists disrespect them make faces at them, act like idiots to all the guards they are military personnel of UK. So proud of all of them I salute you all. from America 🐴❤️🇬🇧🇺🇸
The worst part is that we all presumed it would be one of the kids who slapped the horse even though they were all respectful and caring towards the horse.
Surely the police should be paying attention? This is getting ridiculous. Who are these wretched people who appear to be allowed to behave in this disrespectful way?
They should stop tourist from getting near the horses , keep them behind a barrier . These are soldiers and the horses are part of the army ..respect them !
Not a barrier in front, but from a certain distance on the sides, yah. People should stand under or next to the Horses May Bite or Kick signs and no closer.
As someone not from the UK, this is just downright bizarre to see, people really treat these guards and their horses like toys when they're on the job. Really should be some form of legal protection and boundary between the guards and the people visiting.

In the US police horses, like police dogs, are considered sworn officers. If you assault one you are charged with felony assault on an officer. Personally I think that woman absolutely should have been charged with assault on a royal guard for that. No one should be touching or interfering with these horses while they are on duty. It's a hazard to the animal, and if they can put their hands on them they can hurt them, feed them something that will make them sick or cause the rider to be injured by scaring the horse. Any number of things can go wrong, and all it takes is one bad apple to spoil the bunch.
All these guards are from highly trained military backgrounds; I think you’re pretty stupid to mess about with them! Poxy tourists mucking around, posing in front of them, abusing the horses… arrest & prosecute!
There's a reason they are disrespected. It's about changing the easy access to have pictures with them. They don't as the establishment exists because of tourism these days. There for they are just props in people's pictures. They need to get new jobs if they don't want to be.
@@DS-tj1vh I actually wonder if the fact that tourists annoy the crap out of them is part of the job. I mean, intrinsically part of the job. Not just that it happens all the time but that it's adding to their skills and training, or at least keeping their existing skills sharp. They need to be able to tell the difference between when to react and when not to, when a weapon may be drawn and when not, etc. When they're on a tour of duty overseas in a hostile environment, dealing with civilians is very much part of the job. They have to be able to keep their nerve and focus on what their particular task is. They may be surrounded by people who might not be aggressive in terms of being unsafe, but may be speaking languages the soldier doesn't understand, and there may be a lot of background noise. They need to be able to react appropriately in any situation, and I can imagine that dealing with annoying tourists is a transferable skill.
I'm surprised he waited so long to shout at her. She shouldn't have even had the chance to hit the horse the second time. Good on the guard to stopping her
Brit here. I visited Windsor Castle a few years ago. Unlike the guards at Buckingham Palace, they're not behind fences. I saw a woman in a Windsor Staff uniform standing nearby and we struck up a conversation about her role, which, she said was to keep an eye in tourists who bother the guards or get in their way. Like she said, it's not Disneyland, these are professional soldiers, not mascots. These soldiers do get deployed, they deserve respect, they're not there to be mocked, disrespected and insulted. I have a question for any idiot who thinks it's a sensible thing to interrupt a Guardsman doing his job, would you do the same to a soldier in a conflict zone with a deadly weapon? No, but what if your a threat to whatever a Guardsman is protecting? What you're perception of threat is, may be completely different to a Guardsman, who is going to be quicker at neutralising that threat first? I know who I'd back.
Exactly. They are Royal guards not props. They take their jobs very seriously. I have seen one pull out his rifle and point it when a tourist got too close. They are trained soldiers. It isn't a joke.
Absurd. Police are busy and that's how these fools walk freely. She had no business touching the horse. Jail time? Maybe nit, but I do believe she should be banned from public travel -- transportation for 3-5-10 years.
They should have taken her to the back and really give her a scare by interrogating her. Yes, it may sound a little dramatic but that is the King's Guard and Horse. If you don't stop it now then others will try to do the same and will not think twice about it.
Why was that woman, who slapped the horse three times, NOT ARRESTED? Why do the horse and guard have to tolerate such rude, crude, cruel and disrespectful behaviour?
@Kaybaby6668 We don't touch service dogs when they're working. We don't touch police dogs when they're working. This horse is a working animal, and she had no business laying a hand on it.
She was not arrested because she didn’t hurt the horse. It was actually started out as a playful banter as the horse was interested in whatever was in her coat pocket. The way the horse stood up was hilarious. It wasn’t until the woman lifted her hand in a more aggressive manner where the guard stepped in. People need to understand the difference between a tap and a slap on a horse lol
I was so impressed with how extremely respectful that group of young men were. They did not force themselves into the horse's face. The horse could sense what kind of guys they were. Then there is that lady.
Good grief! It looks like she was posing for a picture and the horse was causing the problem! The girl was just standing there! Maybe she had food in her pocket that the horse smelled. Y’all are overreacting!!! What she did wouldn’t have even hurt the horse and the last wave of her hand didn’t even touch the horse!
Her is a quick summary: the horse must stand where it is. You, little bystander are free to stand anywhere else. If the horse who by duty is motionless and bothering you, feel free to stand anywhere else. That is called freedom. Embrace it.
I’m an American who has never been to the UK. But I still wouldn’t get so close or touch the horses in the King’s Guard. I mean, it’s kind of common sense, is it not? It would in the US. Anytime someone hits a police dog they get charged with assault on a police officer.
Agree 💯
What a lot of tourists do not seem to realize is that the guards and horses are working. They are not there for show and pictures. And the gall of this particular woman, the horse clearly showed that she was too in his space and instead of realizing the horses signals or even caring for them and moves away, she slaps the horse instead. There should be a law that just like attacking the guards, attacking the horses should be against the law too. Respect to the guard and horse combo!!!
I imagine she treats everyone in her life like this.
All I can say about that young lady is “You can’t fix stupid”😮
Tell that better to her parents and those of her mates. The "new way of oarenting" looks like no parenting at all.
She slapped the horse's nose twice, when she tried to do it again, she missed. The public should not be allowed near the horses and Guards. 😡 .
She hit the horse three times. You are only 66.6% honest.
I’m shocked the guard let her hit the horse so many times.
Well done horse guard using your order voice was enough to make the girl retreat.
One beautiful Horse ! ❤🇬🇧❤🇬🇧 ❤
Tourists can be so rude and disrespectful, I give these guards my admiration for their dedication to there service.
The sheer audacity of that woman. She knows better.
Apparently, she *doesn’t*…
The lack of respect in the world today is very concerning!
Isn’t it? I am not sure why this is commonplace. Maybe it’s the politicians. But no one seems to be setting a decent example I mostly am shocked on a daily basis at this kind of arrogance. I wish they would have marched her off. Silly cow
It is indeed. Absolutely 100%!!! Way too much of it going on in these videos. It boils my blood everytime I watch them!!
Indeed
That girl should’ve been detained by the police.
WHAT - POLICE? They are only there to walk and get exercise and talk to each other. Have you ever seen one of these police men take any action? NEVER.
Not only her. I have worked in a similar place with very strict rules, specially regarding the horses, and the great majority of turists didn't respect them.
Stop allowing innocent animals to be abused by ignorant evil ppl !!!! This really pisses me off!!!!
The animal rights people should be there
What????....WHERE Does She ABUSE This Horse??...She Made Very Light Hand Gestures and BARELY Touched The Horse...If Touching These Horses is Not Permitted Fine But Stop Pretending She Slapped The Horse Around....People See What They Want to See For a Reason to Complain....Although She Was Annoying She Certainly Did NOT Abuse The Horse at ALL in ANY Way
Suppose she thought she was being big in front of her friends! But ended up looking like a fool
That was shocking! At a minimum it was animal abuse and at maximum a physical assault on a member of the King's Guard. She should have been arrested and charged to the maximum
A kid who takes a picture next to a Horse because Everyone does it and then is the unlucky one who the horse doesn‘t like. She doesn‘t know how to deal with horses and is propably a Little scared. Of course her reaction is wrong but an armed officer telling her, what she did was wrong is gonna have a good Effect. „charged to the maximum“ my ass, think about what you say before you say it

As an American I can tell you this if I was visiting Buckingham Palace I would never disrespect the King's guard in such a way. I would stay back and take my pictures there. I feel really bad that these guards have to put up with swine tourists all the damn time.

It all comes back to the Golden rule.
Didn't they used to have a sign up that said Do Not Touch?
Absolutely disgusting behaviour
WELL DONE SIR, THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE OF YOUR HORSE,VERY WELL DONE!!
That girl has to have a huge ego to even dream that she had the right to smack (YES THERE CLEARLY WAS CONTACT) one of the KING'S horses! He/She was letting the human know to back off. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. In fact, it's his job!
Her mom is probably hiding in shame
It was a she.

In hindsight that would have been great.
Unfortunately the press would have turned it around and made a mega story out of it.

Incredibly rude woman. No right to slap that horse, just move away!
They should have fined her or something, made her stay in jail a couple days. She thought she really pulled something!
why are these ignorant people allowed to get away with abusing the horse and guard! they should be fined as this happens far to often.
Once again.....ZERO respect !!! Awful behaviour went unpunished !!
Surely the police should be paying attention? This is getting ridiculous. Who are these wretched people who appear to be allowed to behave in this disrespectful way?
They should stop tourist from getting near the horses , keep them behind a barrier . These are soldiers and the horses are part of the army ..respect them !
Definitely agree.
Not a barrier in front, but from a certain distance on the sides, yah. People should stand under or next to the Horses May Bite or Kick signs and no closer.
Does every Spanish teenager have a NorthFace puffy coat and a bad haircut?
As someone not from the UK, this is just downright bizarre to see, people really treat these guards and their horses like toys when they're on the job.
Really should be some form of legal protection and boundary between the guards and the people visiting.
These people are not from the UK. Agree that tourists should not be able to get this close to the Guards
Totally agree
@_Kelly3125 These people are teenagers from Spain. (Source: im Spainiard) Unlike the adult British tourists who get drunk and misbehave in Spain. Not condoning this behaviour but let's not act all hollier than though.
There used to be barriers around the guards . Why have they been removed?
Absolute disrespect for the guardsman and his horse. She should have been arrested.
When the horse nipped at her, she should have moved away. She basically assaulted a Royal guard horse
Did the horse nip at her or was it smelling her? Either way she should have walked away and not stood there any longer. There is a sign saying that the horse my kick or bite. So walk away instead of stand there and be stupid. Im surprised that the guard was patient that long. I would have made her move on after the first slap.
The horse DID NOT nip.🙄 Not in the slightest. He tossed his head, and he was mouthing the bit.
@@susantunbridge4612It sure didn’t look like it bit her to me either. I wouldn’t be stupid and stand there to let it bite me again if it did.

Perhaps an area marked around the horses as a no go zone…………. With heavy fines imposed for those arseholes who do not comply.
You may think the police look intimidating. But those guys in the red coats are the ones to be afraid of, very afraid.
That's right, never mess with the Kings Guard.
@@timb.9224 yes the kings guards not the queen's
I wish they would have at least spoke to her. Made it clear to her that things like that are not acceptable.
Why want she held accountable for her actions?? That was an assault on a member of the Royal staff!! Horses work for the RF.. 🇨🇦
While on duty the horse and the man should both be given utmost respect. They are both soldiers on duty. Period.

Slapped🤣 She did not hurt the horse. The problem is it's a guard's horse and it was mounted.

The way the horse stood up was hilarious. It wasn’t until the woman lifted her hand in a more aggressive manner where the guard stepped in.
