- I Went SHOPPING in TESCOS! TESCO'S SHOPPING HAUL. Daily Vlogs, UK.
Life can get a bit samey at home during the pandemic, but there's nothing quite like a GREAT BIG TESCOS SHOPPING HAUL to cheer you up a bit. I went to Tescos last night (while there were no queues) and huffed and puffed my way back home with this rather splendid food shopping haul.
Here's a link to my new shopping trolley, if you're interested in how I managed to get this lot home by myself without a car. I did also use two carrier bags.

I'm Imo and she's Izzy. We're a UK mother and daughter vlogging combo that loves to get out and about and exploring South Wales and beyond.
We're a homeschooling/home-educating family of two based in the UK dealing with the daily challenges of managing Izzy's severe, chronic eczema and her education. Our resourcefulness is tested on a daily basis, but we'd love to share our little triumphs and discoveries with you as we go along.
Imo is a flautist/flutist (flute player), and these vlogs will often take you behind the scenes of the life of a professional folk musician. Stand by for bits and bobs of live folk music and dance as they pop up in our day-to-day lives.
These videos will not generally feature recorded background music, making them extra suitable for people who aren't keen on pop music!

sounds like a very productive day and you are right people like so see grocery hauls for some reason.
Yeah, funny isn't it? Hm. I wonder if you could do a fitness/health/weightloss haul 'for the views'. 😂 Oh Jesse, I'm busting my arse trying to grow this channel. It's a long, long game. Any suggestion for popular topics that I could work in whilst keeping to my vlog style?
Well done on the yellow labels. I love a bargain xx
Me too - I'm a reduced-to-clearaterian!
I've never done rice in the microwave. I'm going to try that! I have the exact same pirex dish too
It's actually very good. I prefer it.
I cook mine in that Pyrex dish too, it's perfect for rice. 1 cup rice, 2 cups of water just off the boil, 40% power for 20 mins - stir halfway through cooking. Brown and other wholegrain types of rice take longer.
Hi Groovy people ! Was That Sardines i saw in your cabinet ? Nice Grocery Haul.. We have the same back splash as you... Have a Happy Day and Stay well !
Oh yes - I stocked up on tinned fish. I thought they were a good lockdown panty item as they are non-perishable, nutritious and calorific. I have peanut butter in jars, too.
Nice to see what you got from the reduced to clear items
I'm always on the hunt for a bargain! 😂
Hi IMO and Izzy I loved this video it was so funny I hope Izzy is enjoying her school work and is feeling better then yesterday. Stay safe IMO and Izzy. Xx ❤️❤️💙💜💞💓
Thanks so much! You too, Olivia. Izzy was feeling better again by the next day.
Just amazing that she can eat things now. I couldn’t believe the other day when you said she can eat GINGER now! Amazing- so glad for you both.
It feels like a massive weight has been lifted. Thanks, Holly.
Use a cup or a use a cup to measure your rice 1 or 2 cups generally does 2 people and double amount of water per cup or mug
My boys love those pretzels too!!
Izzy’s saying, yeah, they’re good!
Wow all the yellow bargain stickers👍.. I miss going into shops for a look about and buying stuff I don't need 😂 but have been lucky enough to just get home deliverys throughout lockdown xx
Oh yes - I really miss just browsing around too - and you cant get those reduced to clear perishables from an online shop, and they can really save quite a bit of money. I keep meaning to have a look on the 'Approved Foods' website. They sell non-perishable food items close to their date for bargain prices. If you spend over a certain amount the delivery's free. I know a couple of people who have used them and said they were OK. I could do with bulk buying tinned pulses and soya milk.
I've had a very similar microwave.... First the grill "died", several years later it stoped turning and one day it just made a big "poufff" along with a scary cloud of black smoke 😨 Not bad, I think it lasted around 12 years... Now I'm converted to the airfryer, no more microwave (for now... don't miss it). Very happy to know the wonders Izzi's medication is doing for her, and you 👍
Oh my gosh! Now I'm scared! Ha ha! I don't want a big poufff and a cloud of black smoke! 🤣 I should just order a new one and be done with it. They aren't that expensive. I think 'white goods' (fridges, freezers, cookers etc) are much cheaper in the UK than in Portugal? Hm. I'm not sure what an airfryer is. I may Google. Thank you!
I've looked them up. Looks interesting. I added one to my wish list so I can go back for a more detailed look later. Thanks again.
@@PlanetImo a microwave with 25lt capacity, decent power and grill would cost me around 70/80€. Bought the 4,5lt airfryer for 54€ but it substitutes pots, pans, oven and toaster 😄 Fried or boiled eggs, muffins, tarts, baked potatoes, roasted vegetables, meat or fish... you name it. (don't tell anyone but even used it to grill sardines 😊, blasphemy for portuguese way of life but no stench in my house, yeay). I'm using the stove just for rice. If and when you have a few minutes look for some airfryer recipes in youtube, it works. Oooh, not trying to "sell" one to you, just saying it works for me 😄
I'm always impressed with the markdown prices that encourage people to buy veggies. I wish they'd do that in my town. Tell us to eat properly then price some veggies so high it makes you cry. Guess growing your own is all you can do in the warmer weather. I'd do windowsill things if I didn't have a nosey cat. Looks like the simplest way to make rice! Maybe google the fridge's symptoms. Sometimes it's just a plugged drainage tube, mine did that once. The microwave will still work without rotating. Is there a shortage/waiting list for freezers there like here? People that never had many groceries now want a freezer full 'just in case' it seems.
Hm - thanks for the fridge advise. I wouldn't have though of that. I don't know if people are buying more freezers here. I hadn't heard of it. Thanks, Karen. x
Great food shop, lots of bargains! Iceberg lettuce lasts ages. I always check the bread & bakery RTC section when I pop into the supermarket late in the day. I've started to cook my rice in the microwave and it cooks perfectly.
Yes! The lettuce lasts way longer if you peel off a leaf at a time rather than chopping into it, I find. This is reminding me that I need to order a new microwave! Thanks so much for watching, Clarissa.
There was a super sale. 25lbs of rice for $7. Well... I was giving rice in a zip loc bag to everyone lol. Took a very long time to use it all.
😁
Food hauls are really popular these days. I follow several vlogs where entire episodes follow the vlogger shopping, then itemizing the haul at home. I'm going to be looking for Turkish Delights in my local store. Thanks for sharing your hard work with us. 🙂👍
Mmm, I'm trying very hard to get a few more eyeballs on my videos without changing my style or format. I've been working my butt off on it so much it's almost gone concave! It's working a bit, though. It varies from video to video. I'm trying to set up a catalogue of evergreen content for a little while and see what happens.
That's quite a haul you can carry in your new cart.
Ooff yes, it was quite a big effort. I had two carrier bags over my shoulders, too. I had to keep stopping for rests all the way back from the shop. I went back tonight for the compost!
@@PlanetImo you sure are dedicated to obtaining decayed organic matter!
Great vlog
Thank you!!
I have been paying 1 dollar per avocado. I think you are getting a deal on the ones you bought. I have also noticed the diets of people have drastically changed since the lockdown. One of my roommates has been feasting on pounds of bacon and order out pizza, while the other just eats tuna.
Avocados and normally prohibitively expensive here. Also, it's like playing avocado roulette as they seem to be un ripe or rotting, usually - and nothing in between! I snap them up when they are on offer. Roomates! I thought just two of you lived at your place. They must be invisible like my boyfriend!
Evening Is a good time to get reduced food
It is!
Can you do like a cook with me live or baking I want to be a chef when I'm older
Aw, I'm too much of a scaredy cat to do a live stream. 🙀😁. Maybe one day once I've plucked up the courage and got someone on board to moderate the live chat comments.I tend to make up all my meals as i go along, based on what I've got in the cupboards, so I'm a bit of a cooking weirdo. Hee hee! I'll make sure to keep including some foody bits for you though. Thanks, Thor.
We buy some Whoop! Stuff, but you are the queen of Whoops! Do you freeze it all or gorge on it as its all short date? You answered some of it. Your tangent about medicating Izzy was enlightening. I bet her quality of life is better with the medication. She’s having a more normal teenage life! Christine loves Turkish Delight!
Sometimes I freeze things, where appropriate. Yes - she's having such a better life now, and it's freeing her up so much.
It's almost a dollar for 1 avocado here. Fruit and veggies are seriously a lot here.
Avocados are usually expensive here - those yellow stickered items were very cheap because they were on their sell by date. I love yellow sticker hunting!! It's harder to do in the lockdown, as you need to go little and often to get the best of it.
Never have tried Turkish Delight!
Holly S. There are two types really - the traditional type comes in big cubes and don’t have chocolate on them and the texture is firmer. We’ve been eating the chocolate covered sort. It’s quite different from the ‘real’ stuff. Both are nice, though.
Wow... your grocery discount prices are awesome. I would never be able to find those prices here. Even your regular prices are good. I love watching grocery hauls. I find it interesting to compare prices from here, and also what people eat. ha. So nosey of me eh?. haha. What is the compost you talk about? You mean compost for the garden? I also have a similar shopping cart complete with the enclosed bag/cover, and it sure holds a lot.
Am laughing at you cooking the rice. I noticed that Pippa did the same. Dump some rice into the pot, add some water and then cook. And here I am so precise with my measurements. haha
All that schooling is doing my head in.. hahahaha. It's either that I am just too "old" to digest it all.. or I have forgotten all about ever having to have done any of it. Thankfully I did graduate with good marks, but my schooling stopped there. Marriage & kids..... well....... kids & marriage took it's place. ha I admire you though in your dedication to helping your daughter get her education. That takes a special parent for sure.
Enjoy your fluting.. see you tomorrow. 💝
I have a lot of feedback from 'over the pond' that our reduced-to-clear items are exceptionally good value. I'm very grateful for it as we can eat like kings for a pittance on a good day. I wish I had time to put in all the price conversions for items, but having gone daily with uploads, I literally couldn't get the vlogs up in time if I added that into the mix.
Potting compost, I was speaking of, for potting my zuchini plants and topping up the plant bed. I managed to buy some last night, plus my new compost bin has arrived from Amazon so I can start making my own.
See you later!
Hey that’s a nice Tesco haul! Been a while since I’ve been in a Tesco, last time I was in a Tesco was in London in 2018! As soon as they lift the ban on Americans in the UK I’m going back there…if they ever do 😊
Awww great! I’m sure London will love to have you. If you make it to Cardiff we’ll have to meet up!
Have you found the random odd person in that puzzle. Like mary poppins!
Yes! Funny, witty little surprises keep popping up! Its a beauty of a puzzle.
Your going to freak out, but my dad used to give me a beer on holidays starting at 12. Christmas it was a glass of white wine. To be honest most people I know in town where the same.
Mm, I think I used to have little sips at that age, too. Not more than half an inch out of a glass, though.
Cook with me! Imo edition.
😁
Shopping hauls are interesting to people I am told! We are a nosey lot!😜
I’ll be getting another one imminently.
@@PlanetImo the big food shop! And the microwave unboxing!
You are a great bargain shopper! .12 for an avocado?! BARGAIN
I love hunting for grocery bargains!
Hello!!!!!
Yo!
Time for a new microwave I guess? 😊
Mmmm. Yes. I need to order one from Amazon. I envisage another unboxing and review!
42 quid ... come on ..😂
It was all those bargains!
