This setup is specific to SR5 & Ltd. They don't come with muti-terrain or crawl control.
True
Lol, the presenter is talking in AWD mode.
Yes that apply on for the Limited
2:58 😂
I shifted my 2022 limited into 4H for the first time and it said on my dash display screen that it's malfunctioning and to see a dealer. Why would it say that on a new vehicle
Hi, there. When you have a moment, please call our Brand Engagement Center at (800) 331-4331 to further discuss. Our Brand Advocates are available Mon-Fri 8am-8pm, and Sat 9am-7pm EST.
what are the long term advantages/disadvantages to having this dial vs a manual shifter in the TRD's?
The main advantage is that it really impresses your new girlfriend because you have look very serious and say, " This looks rugged, I'll have to stop and shift into professional driver climbing mode." and quickly change the subject before she asks you to explain it.
Does the limited model have a locking Diff available ?
pontiachotshot no as far as I know it uses a lsd for the back tires
The Limited has a center-locking Torsten Limited Slip CENTER differential in the Limited 4X4 trim!
Limited is for cities and semi urban area. Its not hard core off road vehicle like the TRD pro models are. It doesn’t need a differential lock.
Personally I wish the Torsen system came on the SR5 premium also. For normal everyday driving, nothing beats the safety and security of full time AWD... it reacts instantly and is perfect to instances of heavy blowing snow in rural Canadian roads... you go from nothing on the road to a good 3-4 inches, sometimes while you’re already halfway through a turn...
we have part time for 4wd selector knob
Mine is rwd.. with h4L and H4 and H2... so its completely different.
Same as mine 18 sr5 Premium Partime
And again how to turn off that 4lo?
For whatever reason. They never cover that 🤦🏻♂️
It makes sense to go be stopped, neutral and switch but mine seemed to stick quite a bit.
I can’t seem to find confirmation that I’m reengaging regular drive mode correctly on any videos.
So this vid starts of with a “my chiseled good looks” statement by an off camera announcer. Followed by beautiful black woman voicelessly doing visual demo...who wrote/conceived this commercial??
The narrator is the car dummy
Mine don't have it but it is limited
Maybe it’s a 2wd
Maybe so
Maybe so
Why does this guy sound like George Carlin....?
I thought it was Brian Cranston (Walter White - Breaking Bad).
Unfiltered cigarettes and Jack Daniels daily..
I didnt hear any F bombs
I thought 4runner was full time 4wd, like gx460
Lucky You I think gx460 rear wheel drive
@@MrOzozah much as i know GX460 is full time 4wd.
Lucky You different spec may be
how fast can u go in 4 wd high 60 to 80 mph
@@DragonOD_YT limited models 4wd high open diff is meant for any speed. this is exclusive to limited i believe.
Toyota:::Please bring back the Multi Mode 4wd system in your SR5 and TRD Off Road models and make it an option in your Limited.

Loll I think that's a trd
off road not limited
arin mirzayan Exactly. He was talking about things that don't belong to the vehicle that was doing the demonstration.
This is stupid. An entire video about this selector knob and I still don't know what the letters for these settings stand for. Don't tell me this is for off road. I want to know what the knob does!
Do you own a 4Runner? If so, have you read the manual? It is right there. Also, the 4Runner is for true 4WD people not the family mover SUV market. Anyone experienced with 4WD vehicles should know what these mean and if not, they assume you are in the market for the Highlander etc. H4F is - (H) high speed (4)wheel drive (F) Free meaning the center dif can move power from the rear to front..on AWD cars they do not use poer until needed which is a lack luster system, on 4runner, the AWD/true 4WD "free mode" alwasy has 60% on the rear and 40% on the front and it can add more to the front when needed. H4L is the same high speed 4 wheel etc but the center dif is "locked" meanign you have 50/50 power locked in on all 4 wheels. You dont want this for high speed driving but this is not the place to explain why. and finally L4F = (L) Low Speed (4) 4wheel drive (L) locked meaning the center dif is locked...hope this helps
Terry Rocks If I owned a 4Runner, I don't think I would be trying to find information about this knob on UA-cam. I would probably read my Owner's Manual, as you suggested. I own an older Tacoma, which is definitely a real 4WD vehicle but does not have this knob. It was the F/L designators that were unfamiliar to me. My Tacoma did not have a setting for this--it was always locked in 4WD. Thanks for clearing that up.
Glad to help...also I am sorry for my "negative" tone in the reply. This is out of character as I have had a bad 6 months dealing with car dealers. We were forced to trade our Honda van at 100k after all service done and than major engineering issues with the VCM that honda would not cover...glad to get the runner as it was always a dream...and Dodge who my whole family has been loyal to for years sold my 70 year old dad a brand new car he paid cash for.....that was in a prior wreck.....dealer and Chrysler tried to cover it up and call us liars....proved them wrong and had to get mass media involved for them to give him a refund. Not the same Dodge / Jeep we grew up with....never buy another product from Fiat. FYI: The new runner is AWESOME! took out in mud trails yesterday and it laughed at them
***** As I stated, I have an old Tacoma and it does not have this knob. So what exactly makes you think my Owner's Manual would explain the purpose of this knob if my truck doesn't have one?
Hey, just thought I'd ask. And, yes, I thought it was strange to explain the function of this knob yet not state basics such as what the letters stand for. And, if that's picking on the video, then so be it.
Regalenme una límited :(
Chulada de carros
Yo garre una 2018 sr5 premium
This is a great car if you are interested but keep in mind that the interior quality is horrendous, feels like if it was 3D printed.
