@@JustPeasant Grundig always used the u-load mechanism. Also on their Video2000 decks where Philips used the M-Load. But then in de 90-s Philips also made an U-load VHS deck (charly deck). As fas as I know, no M-load beta's were ever made.
Grundig used the u load type mechanisms in theirs Video 2000, VCR and derivatives, and theirs first VHS video recorders. That was between 1972 and 1986.

Grundig VS 200 und VS 220 RC Die technisch aufwändigsten Grundig VHS Recorder. Sie sind in Anlehnung zu den Grundig Video 2000er die letzten mit 5 Motoren und Modultechnik aufgebaut Ab Grundig Serie VS 300 usw wurde diese viel schlechter....
@@datom844 I just bought such a vcr. It is dusty and I will not risk connecting to electricity before the inspection. Unfortunately I don't have a schematic. At the beginning, the power supply is always suspect
@@IREKWWSL If it is the same power supply as in their video2000 machines, then replace the capacitors first. Specially the blue WIMA-mp3's. It's not the question if they will explode (they will) but when (and that will be soon...)

Very identical to a Betamax loading machanism.

That mechanism looks almost the same as Grundig's Video2000 VCRs. The same U-loading way and two separate quite big DC reel motors.

This Drive was Adapted from the Video 2000 Drive, the case is also the same as the video 2000 recorder. I dont know about a m load for beta.

no, but the roller for the capstan is little bit faulty
