    This helped me alot, thanks, keeping the legs in is KEY. you might hate those tighteners but what they replaced them with is way worse.

    Hello Jeff,
    I hate those half-turn screws as well. I do not remember where I first saw a better system, but these "Bike Seat Clamp, M6 × 65mm Bicycle Binder Clamp Bolt Seat Post Quick Release, Pack of 10" (amazon) works great. When I purchased them they were offered in 3 colors.
    I hope this helps.

    Very good review. As far as I can tell, Ioptron can do no wrong. I'll find out this spring! I also agree, it's a cool T-shirt.

    Nice video Jeff thanks. I have same mount for my CEM60 and sad to say the paint job gets scratched as soon as you open it all the first time. Steve

    Hello Jeff. I hope you are doing well and staying healthy. Jeff I have upgraded my CEM60 firmware except the main board firmware. I am getting a fail to connect message. I have checked cables, port, etc, and everything is fine. Can you please assist? Clear skies!

    Jeff is this the “heavy duty “ version of that tripod? Think it’s about 800 bucks. Was a little surprise to me but my guess is you get what u pay for.

      Currently the tri-pier is $598 and if you get it with the case it's $748. I got lucky and got mine with the case used. If I was buying new, I would forego the case and just use a duffle bag or something and save the extra $150, but I'm kinda cheap that way too. :) There is one more expensive option, but that is intended for the CEM120. But to confirm your statement, YES you absolutely get what you pay for over the 2" steel tripod. I wouldn't recommend that unless you're visual or putting a CEM25 on it.

    How do you like the mount?

    • @_Astrovert

      I really like it!! I was only able to get it out a few times for visual with my 10" SCT before the cold weather hit but it performed flawlessly. One tiny issue was the 12v power on the saddle. That would drop out if you touched the plugs even a little. I sent a video to iOptron and they sent me out a new part to swap out. Very easy. No issues since.

    Did you trick with the mount pins work?

    • @_Astrovert
      @_Astrovert  4 роки тому +1

      It did! I didn't use Loctite or anything like that. I just put more torque on the top portion when I screwed it onto the post. Now I can secure the mount to the TriPier in one easy step.
