You are a great driver! It was a lovely journey, fresh air and rain that I love. When we were entering the flooded road, I had a slight uncertainty whether the car's wheels would handle it. Managed to! I read about the great typhoon in Atami, the gorge was huge after the volcanic mud had passed.
