Oh by the way what do you guys think of a "My Hearts Says Go" animatic in the future? I really want to animate one of the songs with Indigo's dad in it (For those who don't know MHSG is one of Jay's previous works)
Tiresias uses clothes that fit his mysteryous vibes. But he also made sure his body under the clothes also fit the vibe, because is important to be prepared for any situation
I feel so bad for Tiresias (the prophet). His story goes that when he was young, he was walking through the woods and saw two snakes copulating on the path. He struck them with his staff to move them aside, and Hera, displeased (for reasons that are never really made clear) punishes him by turning him into a woman. He remains this way for seven years, until he's out in the woods again and sees two snakes copulating on the path. Probably thinking "Hey, worth a shot", he strikes the snakes again and turns back into a man. Then, a few years later, Hera and Zeus get into an argument (shocker) over who gets more pleasure out of sex, men or women. Zeus thinks women do, and Hera thinks men do. They decide to ask Tiresias, who had spent time as both, in order to settle their agreement. When Tiresias (probably thinking "damn it, why does this shit keep happening to me") says that women do, Hera takes it VERY well. She strikes him blind on the spot and storms off in a huff. Zeus, unable to undo what his wife did, decides to just kind of...give Tiresias the gift of prophecy and then leaves. And then later in life, Tiresias's grandson Pentheus gets torn apart by his mother and sisters who got driven mad by Dionysus. The only think Tiresias ever did wrong was hit a couple snakes, and then the rest of his life was absolutely bonkers as a result.
Eh, another day in the greek mythology... Scylla, yeah the monster we saw that ate the men with the torches...she used to be an oceanic nymph, didn't hurt a soul yet because a guy liked her and it happens that Circe also liked that guy...she poisoned the girl and turned into a monster... Or Medusa, got r@ped by Poseidon in Atteha's temple...and so the victim turns into the monster with the stone stare we all know... Calisto, the best friend of Artemis, tricked by Zeus and cause lose her virginity, she was turned into a bear... And the list goes on...gods loved drama and didn't care for what was right or wrong...but what was more entertaining...or simple, just didn't really care unless their name was in the line

I love your depiction of "Portrayals of Betrayals" as being Eurylochus' confession to Ody rather than the mutiny itself. Most people use both that and "A Brothers Final Stand" to describe the mutiny.
@@Nooy_ Well the wind spirits and Aeolus said it the best with "You never know who can trust." "Now they want the bag open so they can have closure." Basically Ody came back with the bag and the Spirits announced it was treasure. Ody immediately became defensive about it and stayed up literally for 9 days just protecting the bag. Eurylochus let curiosity get the better of him and opened the bag to see what kind of treasure would make his brother so defensive. Adding in the fact that Polites just died the thought was probably in his head that Ody was closing himself off to the rest of them.
The choir says “Siren song, Scylla’s throat, mutiny, lightning bolt”. If we match this to Tiresias’ lyrics, the “final stand” could be Eurylochus saying “But we’ll die” during Thunder Bringer, since that truly was his final stand, an attempt to convince Odysseus not to sacrifice them.
FINALLY! SOMEONE WHO MADE THE FIRST CHORUS WHAT'S ALREADY HAPPENED, AND THE SECOND CHORUS OF WHAT'S TO COME! I'VE IMAGINED THIS SINCE THE FIRST TIME I HEARD THE SONG! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

i like to think that Tiresias saying "its no longer you" is what turned ody into a monster (the next song) and that Tiresias did it purposefully for that reason
I love your depiction of the Prophet after Ody tears off his cloak. It's like he's more of a supernatural force, one with fate, one with time, not something Ody can effect. What he says *will* happen, it is the future itself, that's why he's so ghastly and otherworldly. Also, I just love all of the flashbacks/flashforwards and how they are done. The crew and Eury standing there with the Zeus eyes in the background is really cool, my personal favorite.
A good transition point to see gow far he strayed from Athenas lessons. Insted of using his wisdom to decipher all this knew knowlege and come up with some plan he drifts towards the Ares aspect of war, reacting with aggression and rage.
Thinking back I can see how possibly the "no longer you", didn't mean he'd actually DIE. It just meant he had changed, he isn't himself anymore. As he said, a man who's haunting and with a trail of bodies, he is no longer the man he used to be compared to what he used to be in the past sagas
Odysseus still wearing Polites' bandana but the future version of him who fully embraced being a monster abandons it, like he knows his own friend wouldn't approve his actions. Nice touch👏
Tiresias is literally giving vibes from a character called Pariah, refugee of another world, witness of the destruction of the multiverse, and doomed with the gift foresight,
Its so fitting that a foreteller is literally telling Odysessus that he will make it home, but he won't be the same man he was, but Ody is so busy thinking in fear that everything he's done has been for nothing that even his clever mind can't work out that he has to read between the lines of the vision. Its how prophecy gets every hero in the end, all it takes is a little bit of know how to defeat it.
My portrayals for each of the chorus lines: I see a song of past romance (Odysseus and Penelope at their wedding) I see the sacrifice of man (Polites getting pancaked by the Cyclops’ club) I see portrayals of betrayal (Odysseus and Poseidon flipping eachother the bird) and a brother’s final stand (Odysseus and Eurylochus’ duel in Mutiny) I see you on the brink of death (Odysseus on Ogygia) I see you draw your final breath (Odysseus drowning at the end of Get In The Water) I see a man who gets to make it home alive, but it’s no longer you (Odysseus aiming a bow with a fire-tipped arrow at a suitor)
I think this is my favourite 'no longer you' animatic the first chorus being the past and the second being the future, the enitre design of the prophet, how you draw the flashback and how ody rips off the prophet's clothes it is too good i can't wait to see what else you make
After watching the thunder saga the images you created are more meaningful i think you are one of the first to show what tiseras actually meant by sacrefice of men.
I love both the theory of what the prophet said but then the actual meaning of what the prophet said. It shows us Odysseus’s mindset and what he still holds onto. Meanwhile the prophet (and the chorus if you listen) are literally telling him what he does (I.e ‘I see the sacrifice of man’ the chorus sings Scylla)
This is FANTASTIC HOLY MOLY!!! I love that you chose different moments for teitreseus’ reiteration of his predictions, though I do wonder, why Calypso for the second “past romance”?
This could potentially include spoilers.. But here's your answer ^^ There's a song, in the next saga (Wisdom saga) that introduces Calypso.
