For centuries the Dutch have had a relationship with water that is unique. They have fought against it, but also can’t live without it. In this interval act they tell the story of the power of the water and the resilience that the Netherlands have.
And now it also really shows we are still fighting against it, but cant without it either 🙈
No it isn't. It's about lots of people in the world not having clean drink water. The lyrics are very clear.
@@justincredible. yes that is true, but the delta works aren't shown without a reason. It is about both sharing water and about the power of water and how the dutch fight against it.
This clip is shot during the semi final of the Eurovision song contest. The bridge you see in the video clip is a part of the waterworks that insure that the Neterlands will hopefully never flouds again like the one we had in 1956. This because a bog part of the Neterlands is blow sea level. The Eurovision song contest was held in my home town Rotterdam. It's also the area from where Davina is from. So i'm tiple proud... Proud to be a Dutchman , Proud of my hometown Rotterdam and last but not least proud of Davina...... You blew all the contestends of the semi finale away with your performance.

This was a really underrated interval act. Really great👏🏻I would love to see you guys react to Ireland's interval act in 1994. It was the beginning of Riverdance and is the best ever interval act in my opinion😋

Oh you might also like the interval act for the grand final. It's called Music binds us, performing artists Wulf, Glennis Grace and Afrojack. Again combining pre-recorded video with live on stage performance. (Power of water was the interval act for semi final 1. Close encounters of a special kind for semi final 2.)
Davina posts covers of songs on her own UA-cam channel, Pink watched her cover of What About Us in a Glamour video ('You Sang My Song'), invited Davina to be the opening act for her concert in Amsterdam. Davina never entered Eurovision as a contestant but she was asked to write a (water-themed) song as an interval act. Honestly when I watched Davina's performance in the semi-final I thought we couldn't do anything better for interval acts moving forward, but Music Binds Us is... just as good, if not better. You should check out Davina cover of Pink song What About Us...Thats how she got popular in wonderful world of Internet... Also she has original songs too like ''Skyward''.
P.S She was just interval act in Eurovision 2021 and never participated but I want her to represent Netherlands in future Eurovision edition....
yeah, Pink reacted to her cover saying:" Now I know how this should sound". She also participated in a show called Beste Zangers (might be worth checking this program out, a lot of amazing performances by some outstanding Dutch artists through the years). There are subtitled versions floating around the net I hear, the performances just get that little bit extra if you get to hear the story behind them as well.

Watch a dutch tv show Beste Zangers 2018 (Best Singers) You will see Davina...It's a show where dutch singers from different styles of music will sing for eachother. It's not a competion. They just do it for fun. They sing songs from the artists who are in the show in their own style or cover songs from other famous artists in the world....Watch also Beste Zangers 2019 with Floor Jansen. She is the leadsinger of Nightwish...

I can imagine they filmed one part on the dam/dike and the wave is just CGI. When she moves closer you don't see the dam anymore, so that's probably just a swimming pool or a smaller body of water she can touch. It looks like it's vertical, but it's horizontal. The same applies when she sticks her head in. She only has to tie her hair up for the part where her face goes through and they probably filmed her floating under water in a giant siwmming pool and edited the giant woman in.

Romanian is a 70% Vulgar Latin-based language (one of the Romance languages, as you probably know), 20% Slavic-based and 10% other influences (Turkish, Greek, German, Hungarian). The percentages might differ, depending on the sources (75%+15%+10%).

But it would have won...easily.. LOL, She is so stunningly talented, her voice when it cracks sends shivers down my spine. Looks like an Elven princess. The show is kinda what Eurovision is all about. She was launched by Pink watching covers for Glamor mag. Pink saw Davina and was blown away with her singing "What about Us" That night after pink's comments her career was sent skyward. (video of pink watching covers is still out there. )
