Sam thank you for sharing your videos i’m 75 years old and going through radiation therapy for cancer .Your videos are helping me get through this endeavor.God Bless you and thank you for your messages.
I pray the Lord will bless you and help you through your treatments. And it is super encouraging to know the Lord is using the videos and messages to bless you during this time you are going through. God Bless and I hope you heal quickly... Sam
Thank you so much Sam. Your work and attention to detail should be an inspiration to everyone. As much as I enjoy watching you work, I look forward to the message, as I always find a way to relate. From Southeast Louisiana, thanks for all you do for the dirt community and all those that may need to be cleansed of some dirt. Keep doing what you’re doing. God bless.🙏
As a young man who wants to start his own business you are such an inspiration to me! I enjoy each and every video you put out. Would love to learn from you someday. Thank you for sharing your life and business with us.
Thank you Aaron! I hope I'm able to share some of what I've learned in the videos and especially from the messages at the end. I wish you well when you start your business. It's tough at times but vert rewarding to make your own way. God Bless, Sam
Thank you. I always enjoy your videos and messages. Your story about getting lost hit home. Back in the early 70's a friend and me went out in the desert in the evening on horses to do some hunting. We knew we would be out after dark, had lots of water, pistols and rifles, and flashlights. Back then, compared to know flashlight technology was rather bad. Of course it was moonless so we were depending on flashlights to get home. Back then we could not see the hills and got lost. Bigtime. It was after 10pm and we had no clue and resigned to spending the night out there but had a thought. The horses might know the way home so we started them walking and just let them pick the way. Sure enough 2 hours later we saw the lights of his place. We were operating blind but by letting go we got home safe and sound. If there was moon light enough to see the hills we would have known where we were and had no problem. Both of us grew up in that desert. Knew it like the back of our hands. But that 1 mistake of not checking the moon taught us a life long lesson. When things go sideways, go wrong, let go. Be safe.
Thanks Ron for sharing that story. The sense of direction that animals have is amazing. I would really like to share that story with a message in an upcoming video! The message of letting go and allowing the horses to get you home is exactly what we should do in relationship with God. What a story! God Bless, Sam
Hi Sam..Very Nice work on fixing all the drainage issues. Looks like the roads will hold up for a good while now 👍🏻..Tim knows what’s up with tailgating that rock, Fine job for sure .!! I appreciate the Message, Another awesome job at sharing it .! Take Care.!
Glad ya got the new shoes on. Always something. I sure do miss doing the equipment, even working on it. That was a Good message, many Christians just think of salvation as what is going to happen to you when you die, not what all the benefits that having a close relationship with Him now daily means. All the pease and wisdom. I could never make it without him!! Blessings be to you and your family.
I enjoy running the equipment, but not working on it 😁. Well said, many view Chriistanty and insurance rather than a relationship. Sadly its not going to work out as some think. I don't want to try and make it with the Lord either. Go's Bless, Sam
Like Tim’s truck and the fact he can haul 21 tons. Good job, enjoyed the message! My pastor says you have to get somebody lost before they can be saved.
😂😂 if it had a thumb on it, it would be an even trade. But I might need a little to boot. I don't know what's more impressive. That homemade backhoe or Tim's spreading skills!
Hi Sam, very good job with the Skid steer, it’s not easy to create slopes with a Skid steer. The truck driver is very good at emptying while moving. In France it’s rare to find drivers like that !
Sam you have those roads looking good. You might have a good trade for the 313 if you paint it yellow and put SCAT on it.😂 Enjoyed the message. Be Safe and God Bless
For a guy that’s learned himself how to grade and operate your are pretty fantastic at it. Ive really grown to love grading. It’s probably my favorite thing to do. That dump truck driver is fantastic too. A lot of them put on a blind fold when you tell ‘em where to put it. This is good stuff. I’m only half way through so far. Still watching lol. You’ll get another comment when I’m done.
@@tristardiggin man that was an awesome message at the end. You really have a knack for speaking the word. Bringing it all together with a story about being a kid on a dirtbike got me too. I’ll be honest I’ve watched letsdig18 and dirt perfect for years and just came across your channel. And I like it more. I like how you do everything and teach I’ve been operating for nearly 20 years for the county operating a motor grader and excavator I like 5 years to retire and I’ll be 45 and about 3 years ago I bought a skid steer and mini ex and tandem truck and decided I wanted to do that after retirement. I’m like you I work solo and have had a job every weekend since I’ve started my side business. Keep the videos coming and doing what god pushes you to do. I really enjoy your channel and will keep watching! Maybe we will cross paths one day
Wow, thank you! That is saying a lot. Those guys have huge channels and been doing it a long time. Thanks for supporting the channel. That's pretty cool you are building a business for when you retire. You will do well for sure having that in place before you retire. Woohoo! Another TSD video. I always enjoy jobs better when I get to do a variety of stuff rather than just doing the same things the whole day. That was a great analogy in your message. You don't want to be saved until you realize that your lost whether you're riding dirt bikes or wandering aimlessly in the world.
Another good video, thanks for sharing! I’m curious what a load of clean stone costs delivered in your area. Here in western NY, the last load of clean #1 stone at 20.04 tons was $631…😮
Thank you for your videos and message at the end, I always enjoy listening to your message. As I was watching this video on road repair I started wondering about some of your videos on driveway building in the past. It seems like most typically recommend using some sort of fabric underlay on the driveways. I guess the question that came to mind is why use the underlay for these driveway projects when it’s not typically used on a larger road like the ones in this video. Is it just because the scale of a driveway makes it more realistic to use the fabric? Thanks so much.
Thank you Justin and glad you enjoy the messages. I generally only use fabric on a road/driveway when there is soft soil or crossing a wet area. I feel like if there is a good compacted base the fabric isn’t necessary. For large roads it could get a bit expensive. I’ve been paying $2.55 per linear foot and a roll is 300’ long by 15’ wide. So a whole roll is $765…
Thanks Roland, and I'm glad to hear you have been on the straight and narrow path for years. That is an encouragement to new believers... God Bless, Sam
