Funeral for John A. Tullous

John A. Tullous, affectionately known as “Tully” died peacefully in his sleep on January 12, 2025.
He was born on October 8, 1949, in Bellevue, NE, the son of the late James M. Tullous and Ruby Tepley Tullous. He was preceded in death by one son, John A. Tullous Jr., and two brothers, James M. Tullous, Jr. and Mark L. Tullous.
Mr. Tullous served in the U.S. Marine Corp for twenty-two years, rising to the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked under the company name Homepro as a home inspector for over twenty-five years.
Mr. Tullous was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church where he served as a Stephen Minister. He also served as a Kairos Minister and belonged to many civic organizations.
He is survived by his wife, Sondra Tullous, two sons, Todd Tullous and Christopher Tullous; four grandchildren, John Tullous III, Bradley Tullous, Calib Tullous, and Olivia Tullous, two nephews, Randy Tullous and Shawn Tullous, and one niece, Teri Tullous.
The funeral will be held at St. Matthews Lutheran Church on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 1:00 pm with the viewing at the church one hour prior to the service. Dr. Samuel Zumwalt will conduct the service and interment will follow at the Greenlawn Mausoleum.
Memorials may be made to St. Matthews Lutheran Church.
