@@chrishall953 The best time is one day after a rain if there are any in the system. I would also fish the very dark stretches around the bends...all the way down. They hold up in the same holes basically every year. Single hook is easier and more fun...go to the Baitcast tackle shop at the mall for any tackle. Early and late are the keys.
Thanks for the memories of salmon fishing at the dam. Been there many times in the fall. Sometime we killed em other times Nuttin but laughs, and thats ok too.
Great video. Thank you
Good video! My wife and I were just there a few days ago. It is sad about all the garbage left along the shore.
Tight Lines-
Heading up sept17th staying at betsie river resort

Do they really lay eggs that hatch in Michigan
They do. The Betsie is not stocked like other rivers. Also, reproduce in the rivers in Ontario in lake huron.
And you can use trebles in the betsie
Yes, that is accurate. There is a size restriction though. I'm good with trebles but its not like M60's in the 1970's.
For the Betsie - I believe there is a 'single hook' only restriction, with a max 1/2" gap between the shank & tip. Is that correct?
People trashing that area has been happening for years and will continue because some people are just plain ignorant…
A ton of out of staters
