I loved this build when I tried it, and I recently got the absolutely perfect exotic class item. You've got to check it out plunder - spirit of inmost light and star eater. I switched to GG for celestial level damage and resto on orb pick up. HoIL is absolutely cracked, attach a grapple to an enemy and you get two stacks of ability regen, half your grapple back. Gunpowder procs it too, as does melee and dodge or course. You can loop the abilities as much as you want. I used the call with desperate measures (tricorn would be amazing too) and threaded blast (which is slept on). Absolute destruction! I love it
Step 1: Use Grapple to proc Woven Mail Step 2: Grapple Melee an enemy Step 3: Go to town with your Volatile Weapon Step 4: Use Your Threaded Spike Step 5: Melee Step 6: Dodge Step 7: Transcend Step 8: Use Hailfire Spike Step 9: Use Super Step 10: repeat Thanks, I hate it. I feel like a show dog jumping through hoops. This is also completely useless for endgame, all the things that have to be done while you're also trying to do raid mechanics, hellllllll no. Step 11: Shoot myself because this is annoyingly tedious, Bungie made this game so egregiously annoying, so many layers of shit that needs to be stacked just to make a full dookie. Thinking about not playing hunter anymore and working on fleshing out other classes. But oh wait, warlock and titan are eating the same dookie sandwich with all these annoying layers. Also no. The new Hunter super is garbage. If I have to do all this stuff just to make it not suck, no thanks I'll just use literally anything else at all.
Geez I’ve never seen anyone throw a fit like that over a build video lol. Also, it’s fairly obvious this isn’t a raid setup.. Hunters bring either celestial goldie (especially now with Still Hunt) or tether with Orpheus rig to raids. That’s it. This is just to have fun with Prismatic without having to melee everything. But if it’s too much for you to follow you can always go back to dodging and punching.

Also, even running celestial golden gun, you are still gonna need to utilize all the defensive layers that are now on the table with the game balance turning us all into glass cannons with no survivability so no matter what build you use, you're still gonna be buried in proccing layers to keep yourself alive, it's become more and more horrible lately. Also you know I'm right, there's no joke 10 steps to getting the engine running on this build, so F that lol not interested in any build that requires such annoying tedium and that's not his fault , it's Bungie's
One thing I love about this build as well as most of the other prismatic builds is that the aspects and fragments are doing a lot of the heavy lifting so you can wear any exotic you want and there’s other exotics that can be helpful vs having to run a specific one.

I've been using a build I came up with that uses the new exotic boots, which gives your decoy more threadlings, paired with combination blow. the decoy does not have a cooldown, so every time you get a melee kill and dodge, theres a new decoy. On top of this, the explosion from combination blow typically explodes your decoy, so you have threadlings wiping rooms of enemies almost 100% of the time. Absolutely loving Prismatic and all the unique builds so far!
@@deejayy8303 grapple grenade and slow dodges! you can replace the slow dodge with something else, but the increased dodge regen is nice if things die too quick and you cant get a comb blow kill to refresh

Bro! Just finished getting the full kit together for my hunter. Fired up this build and went into an Overthrow activity. My smile was from ear to ear. It’s so fun. Great work as always! I don’t even really get what’s happening but it’s amazing!
Been using this exact build for 2 days now. It's just so good. I first started with a Aeger Scepter build for all general purpose. Then second build really wanted to go void and cooked this build, it's amazing. One difference is though I don't really like going Transcendent that often just cause I don't like that grenade, so I use Facet of Dawn to make me and my team Radiant when I use Grapple grenade.
Glad to see there's other people making builds that aren't just Combination Blow spam because that sort of playstyle just isn't for me. Too many years spent as a Gunslinger main means it's thrown melee or bust. I've been using a slight variation on this build (this build is better though) and have been using Conditional Finality with it - swinging in on yellow bars and hitting them with shatter and ignition blasts. I *think* it also charges both bars, so definitely good for getting Transcendence.
Took this fragment/aspect combo and paired it with Graviton Forfeit and Manticore. While that loses Woven Mail, the manticore overshield pitches in, and the boost to melee regen and recovery whem invis both pitch in for surviability. Strand weapons are The Call with Demo and Pro Memoria. Feels like it's really solid.
Warlock main here, I switched to hunter after realizing how much more fun prismatic hunter is, especially with nighthawk+still hunt. A particular fun combo im using is acrobat's dodge, withering blade, and grapple to have 4 sources of radiant when combined with facet of dawn Winter's shroud's class ability reduction on slow makes it even more ridiculous
Great. Was looking to get out of the melee deal. Did a couple of changes to my preference. Aspect: Winter Shroud for Gunpowder (just love to dodge and freeze enemies) Fragment: dawn for bravery (keeps options open for more weapons imo)
even without buried bloodline this build slaps ! the transcendance bar completion is really fast to get completed; and you gave me the push i needed to go grind the WR exotic and i just got it today !^^
I use something similar (with less damage reduction but restoration). It's just that I'm stuck with still hunt and celestial forever somehow. So for weapons I go hammerhead + the call (which I'll probably replace by breachlight at some point).
Running Buried Bloodline, but I'm using this build also with the new exotic class item! I got Cyrtarachne's and Galanor on the same item, and it goes crazy with this build. I swapped the super to Deadshot and pretty much always have one available to abuse.
got a prismatic exotic with inmost light and coyote, switched out special finisher to powerful attraction to gain woven mail etc from orbs easier since i miss out on woven mail on grapple, build is blasting.
This was actually one of my first thoughts for Prismatic Hunter, although it was with the exotic class item. Since the class item for Hunter has Spirit of Cyrtarachne on it, you'd proc Woven Mail from not only your normal grenade but also Gunpowder Gamble. Pair it with Spirit of Inmost Light for a buff to ability uptime (although I don't really think you'd need it, but can't test currently) or Spirit of Caliban to turn your melee into a nuke as well.
I. Love. You. Been staring at my hunter for hours moving these pieces around and I think this is what I was heading towards. The only thing I think might be good is to take out Ruin for Dawn, my thinking is that ruin without stasis just makes gunpowder aoe a bit bigger which might not be needed, but having pretty much full uptime on radiant not only gives you the weapon buff but also makes your grenade recharge faster from the artifact which just feeds into the loop even more, as well as giving your teammates radiant as well, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on this! I'm still learning for sure
I like this build because it’s not a combination blow build and uses the threaded spike which I was thinking about since it gives a butt ton of darkness energy, my only gripe is how weapon focused it is, I’m fine with builds that rely on weapons but with prismatic I want it to be as self sufficient to get transcendence as possible
This would probably be really good with wavesplitter also spreading suppression on orb pick up - especially if you are already geared to special ammo collection
ik its not ever going to be meta broken, but i used salvations grip throughout the ledgendary campaign and it went crazy with the wave-frame rework. just fun to use and seeing crystals shattering everywhere was just epic.

i accidentaly make a renewal grasp duskfield + gunpowder and decoy with strand mele ability and Strand Super for woven mail and ad clear build without even want to make it :)) i was borring last night and after i tray it , i love it :)) duskfield and strand melee will charge darkness bar very quick , and gunpowder and zaolis bane or Sunshot or other weapon with incadescent will up light bar :)
Fire build definitely gonna try this out. Question, if I don’t have either exotic weapon, are there any replacements or legendary weapons that are good?
i highly suggest trying tessellation with prismatic. it is so easy to get grenades into it for that massive shot, you can also use gun powder gamble for another big aoe explosion (sadly gun powder gamble doesn't work with tessellation). i use a solar super for restoration, and an arc grenade to make tessellation do arc damage and give amplified which gives damage resistance.
I've been running a similar build to this except I'm using Ascension combined with the new hunter chest exotic. It adds an extra layer of nonsense on top of all the strand & void damage.
heya, found an interesting interaction with grapple punch. combination blow and the arc grenades jolt on hit fragment. Getting a stack of combination blow gives arc damage to the grapple punch, making it act like an arc grenade allowing it to jolt. Not 100% sure on how useful this is but is a cool and pretty fun interaction nonetheless.
Everything so far was pushing towards a melee build which was mundane, this build is something else finally get to play as a hunter again. Top build 100%
I tried this build and found out it works really well if you use the Ascension Arc Aspect because it gets the Gunpowder Gamble grenade instantly if you is it in a somewhat small group of enemies. Not saying you need to use it but just a good suggestion.
Have you tried the new arc fragment combined with Sixth Coyote on prismatic? It's a lot of fun for both helicopter and threaded spike. I use gunpowder gamble also
I'm so happy to see this build bc I've been running it almost non stop. Don't get me wrong, melee is extremely busted rn, but this build is just too much fun, the threaded spike and gunpowder combo is way too good. I'm currently running it with still hunt and celestial, the invis + Goldie makes sure you almost never miss
I made a build with moth and gunpowder gamble! It's a really fun build, because you have 3 grenades, 2 that blinds and jolts, and other ignites. Paired with Strand and Void Weapons you also have Volatile and Unreavel and with Ascension you proc Amplified and with Strand Super you gain Wolven Mail from Orbs.
If you use Ascension here you can use that instead of gunpowder gamble. That allows you to keep amplified up that’s not dependent on super. Worked for me really well :)
Hey Plunder, i HIGHLY recommend foetracer. Stasis or strand melee to buff a chill clip fusion, or a strand fusion, then match your grenade to your chosen light element weapon. Mix it with a Bait and Switch weapon. I recommend a void weapon and possibly using the smoke bomb. Then have the radiant melee. So 15% radiant 30% B&S 25% foetracer 15% weaken if you use a void melee too ??% from prismatic damage buff. Also instead of smoke bomb buried bloodline can weaken too so you can still use darkness melee
really like this build. I want to try an aspect that isnt stylish executioner. It feels a bit wasted since this build doesn't get to take advantage of the weaken effect. Currently trying out the ascension fragment. This fragment makes you amplified, when you consume the class ability, which facet of hope sees to make your class ability recharge faster. With tier 5 mobility my class ability comes back at the same time that the amplified goes away, meaning i have constant amplified and can switch to a different super for facet of purpose, and get an extra fragment slot. Not sure how good this will be in practice tho.
I recommend swapping the stylish executioner for ascension. Then you can swap to golden gun for radiant on orb pickup plus you get amplified damage reduction from ascension aspect. Ascension also counts as an ability so each ascension on 3 or more enemies pretty much triggers gunpowder gamble on kill.
Prismatic is already great and I can’t wait for Exotic class items and you absolutely cooking, bet you I’ll be so unlucky when it comes to perk rolls tho

I have this same build and what makes it crazy is the hidden perk.
It’s stronger than invis they completely ignore you even if you attack them.

i highly suggest trying tessellation with prismatic. it is so easy to get grenades into it for that massive shot, you can also use gun powder gamble for another big aoe explosion (sadly gun powder gamble doesn't work with tessellation). i use a solar super for restoration, and an arc grenade to make tessellation do arc damage and give amplified which gives damage resistance.
great build, are you able to do a build focusing more on freeze and shatter? maybe stasis and strand combination?
I've been running a similar build to this except I'm using Ascension combined with the new hunter chest exotic. It adds an extra layer of nonsense on top of all the strand & void damage.
I’d like to see your take on a prismatic hunter build with still hunt and celestial nighthawk seeing as that’s pretty much the meta dps rotation now

3:39 not sure they dont like this grenade, this helped me clear out ads like crazy during the legendary campaign.
heya, found an interesting interaction with grapple punch. combination blow and the arc grenades jolt on hit fragment.
Getting a stack of combination blow gives arc damage to the grapple punch, making it act like an arc grenade allowing it to jolt.
Not 100% sure on how useful this is but is a cool and pretty fun interaction nonetheless.

Everything so far was pushing towards a melee build which was mundane, this build is something else finally get to play as a hunter again. Top build 100%
I tried this build and found out it works really well if you use the Ascension Arc Aspect because it gets the Gunpowder Gamble grenade instantly if you is it in a somewhat small group of enemies. Not saying you need to use it but just a good suggestion.

Have you tried the new arc fragment combined with Sixth Coyote on prismatic? It's a lot of fun for both helicopter and threaded spike. I use gunpowder gamble also

I'm so happy to see this build bc I've been running it almost non stop. Don't get me wrong, melee is extremely busted rn, but this build is just too much fun, the threaded spike and gunpowder combo is way too good. I'm currently running it with still hunt and celestial, the invis + Goldie makes sure you almost never miss

I made a build with moth and gunpowder gamble! It's a really fun build, because you have 3 grenades, 2 that blinds and jolts, and other ignites. Paired with Strand and Void Weapons you also have Volatile and Unreavel and with Ascension you proc Amplified and with Strand Super you gain Wolven Mail from Orbs.

If you use Ascension here you can use that instead of gunpowder gamble. That allows you to keep amplified up that’s not dependent on super. Worked for me really well :)
I've never been a fan of GPG. I always forget about it and then I mess up thinking I'm throwing my regular grenade.
Hey Plunder, i HIGHLY recommend foetracer. Stasis or strand melee to buff a chill clip fusion, or a strand fusion, then match your grenade to your chosen light element weapon. Mix it with a Bait and Switch weapon.
I recommend a void weapon and possibly using the smoke bomb.
Then have the radiant melee.
So
15% radiant
30% B&S
25% foetracer
15% weaken if you use a void melee too
??% from prismatic damage buff.
Also instead of smoke bomb buried bloodline can weaken too so you can still use darkness melee
I use smoke bomb with grapple with exotic Khepri Sting. It’s so good! Smoke bombs are really good
really like this build. I want to try an aspect that isnt stylish executioner. It feels a bit wasted since this build doesn't get to take advantage of the weaken effect. Currently trying out the ascension fragment. This fragment makes you amplified, when you consume the class ability, which facet of hope sees to make your class ability recharge faster. With tier 5 mobility my class ability comes back at the same time that the amplified goes away, meaning i have constant amplified and can switch to a different super for facet of purpose, and get an extra fragment slot. Not sure how good this will be in practice tho.

I recommend swapping the stylish executioner for ascension. Then you can swap to golden gun for radiant on orb pickup plus you get amplified damage reduction from ascension aspect. Ascension also counts as an ability so each ascension on 3 or more enemies pretty much triggers gunpowder gamble on kill.
