I say it: these two will make me lose my mind. What a ship, I love them! I thought I would have to wait a lot longer before Riccardo told her the truth. But finally that moment (along with all the suffering) has arrived.
The scene in the rain was perfect. I couldn't help but highlight the parallelism between Doc when he asks Riccardo "why are you hiding your condition?" and when he says to Alba "I did it so as not to see that face".
Reviewing the scene for the hundredth time I noticed that Riccardo smiles as soon as he shows her the prosthesis but then becomes sad when he notices her expression. Tears to no end.
But when will these two give us a joy ?! I think in the two thousandths.
