Awesome video as always! I am really looking forward to the new engine to see how they implement more modern goalkeepers. I feel like a sweeper keeper even on attack is waaaaay too tactically limited in the build-up phase
thanks! and I agree; I would love to be able to mold the role a lot more. Like dictating their positioning, possession, and passing style a lot more would be super beneficial
@@TheDeepLyingPlaymaker Was worth the wait. Your consistency has been 20 on this series, almost gutted we're out of roles. Do you think you'll do position pairings again once you're done?
Something I have always noticed , FM gives high SK star rating for those who have a high eccentricity attribute, even though they might lack some key attributes like first touch, passing and vision. Maybe in their mind (SI), when coding the SK, a high eccentric player is needed to perform the "out of the box" moves in possession. I wonder if that is going to change in the future since most top teams now have a keeper that is comfortable playing with their feet. And I would also assume new young GKs are trainning that for sure since their academy ages (therefore being a SK is no longer something "eccentric"). For me, I always look for someone that has the ability to rush out properly with some anticipation, agility and acceleration. All I want from my SK(defend) are those rushing out situation to clear the ball whenever I am using a higher defensive line.
I didn't mention it in the video because it's super "my preference" kinda thing, but I always look for height and jumping reach (for whatever reason). I can work around the role, but I like those attributes
@@TheDeepLyingPlaymaker you're right! forgot that as well! Aerial Reach is so important! Once I had a keeper with less than 10 of Aerial Reach and it was a disaster. Conceded bunch of goals from set pieces haha
i think somehow eccentricity is op too for sk because I played a career with club america from mexico road to winning to the club worldcup and i used a keeper from america's reserves as sk on su, he head 17 eccentricity at 19 years and only 9 aerial reach but somehow he was great in game, spreading passes everywhere and i never conceeded from a direct mistake by him and we beat city, madrid al hilal and psg to win it all.
@@drod1747 I see, probably that 17 helped his creativity, like flair does to outfield players. Maybe he had a high jumping reach number and was a tall keeper?
I've been working in the background on some player trait stuff. A video on the topic isn't imminent, but I do hope to make a video on traits at some point :)
@@TheDeepLyingPlaymaker Few things that i never fully understood is, for an example, what is "move into channels", how does underlap work, what does "take more risks" really mean? Perhaps not traits, instructions and stuff, since they kind of intertwine all over the place.
The first position you need to look into improving after being promoted. No other player can impact teams results quite as much (and for a reasonable price), especially in weaker leagues (like Polish Extraklasa). Only after that you can spend the rest of your pitiful budget on that Uruguayan wonderkid that you hope to snatch before the big guys find him.
@TheDeepLyingPlaymaker I really like buying young promising keepers, loaning them for 1-2 seasons and then letting them play & grow with the team. It's annoying that the game is kind of rigged when it comes to player development in favour of big leagues. Maybe I should try playing Premiership finally.
Yep! After player roles, we'll get into more tactic stuff, instructions, role combinations, and probably general FM stuff too (training, development, etc...)
"The sweeper keeper & goalkeeper can be used in any formation and in any tactic" bro that opened my eyes
In fairness I think my guy is trying to appeal to a broad audience, there will be people out there picking up FM for the first time.
@@Legend-zo9bc Yea, also i'm not hating this, it's just funny for me
Hey you never know 🤣🤣
I'd love to see the tactic where these roles can't be used.
The DLP vid is near 😂
Let's say the release... imminent
He actually just released the dlp vid 2 minutes ago🔥❤

0:44 and on an even rarer ocassion (or if you assign them as your penalty taker) even a goal.
I should've tried to get some footage of that 😅😅
Been looking forward to this one for a while 😁
took a while to get around to the goalies but we finally made it

@ he was 6’1 i think no attribute seemed crazy
Sweeper keeper is the modern day keeper, where it’s more important to be good with your feet then it is your hands, yes I also prefer this role 😂😂😂
Awesome and entertaining guide as always my dear friend 🫶😃🧢 Thank you very much for this video 😎😊
You're welcome
4:22 classic Neuer
couldn't believe it happened... just do literally anything other than kick it right at the player
Thought about breaking down player instructions/traits in what exactly they do and how do they affect the players with examples?

I didn't mention it in the video (and thinking back I probably should have lol) but if you get a good one, you don't have to replace them for 15 years

great video
thanks 😃
If my sweeper keeper isn't doing keeper runs and dribbling, then I don't want it :P
I see you like to live dangerously as well 🤣🤣
Question - After covering all the roles in game, what videos will you make after? Will it still be about tactics, like team instructions?

@@TheDeepLyingPlaymaker Thanks, looking forward for more videos! ❤
FM Will someday got ballplaying goalkeeper that act like a centreback
Finally, goalies
we never think about them until we need them... and yet they're so vital to a team
Rene Higuita.... Poacher Goalkeeper
this totally needs to be a role in the next game
In some rare occasions, they can score too lol
we need an "Advanced Sweeper Keeper" role haha
SK-De is my choice ❤
I tend to gravitate towards SK-su myself, but they're both real good
Fm25 has me excited for the ball playing keeper❤
real excited to see what that role looks like
DLP DLP DLP
Nearly there!!!! 😗
