Bro your work is second to none. You truly have mastered your craft and respect where it's due because in life nothing is given it takes hard work and perseverance and that shows. Im a new barber myself and been cutting hair now for just under a year. For the most part im self taught but ive been taking advice and knowledge from people wherever I can. Mostly following styles and techniques from others and seeing which one i can master. Ultimately i realise it's my lack of knowledge of the grades and understanding how to best utilize them i.e. the lengths, what fades into what, how the same grade open or closed can be used to blend into or take out another line etc. Id love some understanding on the issue i think this is something that myself along with alot of new barbers struggle with when first getting into the business. Id love if you could make a video specifically on this topic. Much respect bro.
I think you have the best tutorials of all UA-cam. This one in particular was very good but one thing I didn't get was why cut of the long hair on the side doesn't it make it uneven

How often do you change out blades on your clippers and trimmers?
That side taper on the right side has way to many dark spots Brotha. I mean it looks blended but you can see lines of dark sports.
I think some 1.5 detail work would’ve solved it. The left side way better
To be honest its hard to cut hair for the camera man, I have to be in awkward positions to give the viewer the best view possible and the lighting we use is brighter so the picture style looks better on video, but for us its hard to see clear, I always feel like my cuts don't look as good as when im just cutting behind the chair on regular days but we keep trying to get used to cutting for the camera.
@@FADEDCULTURE nah that’s facts Brotha ! I’ll be thinking my fades fire af and then take videos and in certain angles I’ll see dark spots n lines. That shit so annoying. Littlerly lighting/ shadows are everything when it comes to fading. No doubt you guys are some of the best barbers on UA-cam. But the more you do this , the better the eyes get. I hate having that barber eye sometimes bro. I’m always judging Every fade I see on tv lmao. I realized now more then ever , it’s all an illussion. It’s just all about getting every level , exactly the same length. So I try to cut more towards the shading of each area vs Wich guard I should be using. For example if I gotta use the 1/2 guard in the 1 1/2 area. Ima finesse that mf Keep up the good work fam.
@@FADEDCULTURE yeah that’s one of the reasons I don’t do reels anymore. There tough. Especially when your trying to show the process .. I’m still trying to figure out the angles. But I only got one light and sometimes it makes the video to bright. I feel like it takes away the contrast and darkness. But some angles it looks so much better.

I use the Andis slimline pros but I don't like that you can't zero-gap them.

Yea but the shortest you’ll be able to go is a zero cause your zero not short enough to blend into a blad fade

Hey faded culture i bought a skeleton fx gold right out of the box its sharp like it snags hair hurts and cuts skin why is that zero gapping wont fix it it will just cut closer or . Better here in aust there 269 on sale . So its a expensive trimmer people hype them up and no one on youtube shows how to fix them im taking them back

I see some barbers take their guide lines out by flicking a lot. so my question is with the lever being in that 3/4th position do you need to flick out to get them out ?
