Years ago I bought tickets to Henry Mancini concert in Knoxville Tennessee USA and was given a Pink Panther stuffed animal. I have it plus other stuffed animals that are connected to different TV shows, & cartoons like Barney, Lamp Chop, Hush Puppy, Porky Pig ET

I remember my first concert as a pianist, I did not thought we were gonna play the piano in the dark, I was panicking and thank god muscle memoriey saved my butt.

It was originally a very simple cartoon soundtrack, but it has become a very special arrangement, nice !

I completely agree, it feels unresolved
According to the comments on the live-stream in the video, the original recording was of him improvising off of the song. I guess as he was improvising, he went further and further from the original theme, so by the time he reached the end he wasn't sure what to do.
As a fellow pianist, I appreciate Lionel's attempt.
