    It’s honestly so jarring playing this since 2017 and just seeing PK have a shoulder bash. My little brain couldn’t even fathom that back in 2017!

    The only thing this bash does effectively is when in teamfight/ ganks, the enemy only had to put his guard on her side and basically forget about pk totally bc all she has are lights or heavy if the enemy isn’t bleeding. Now the bash demands the ganked / teamfight opponent to at least do something rather than just put his guard on one side. If you play peacekeeper you know what im talking about.

      Externalling PK only works as long as you don't do anything at all in a fight. PKs playstyle in a teamfight revolves around punishing and peeling. For both her dodge heavys are great, due to their low recoveries. External offense in a teamfight isn't that important anyways, otherwise Nobu and Medjay (specifically in his staff stance) wouldn't be among the best teamfighters.
      As for ganks, Freeze showed off her own and in order to make her better in general ganks, making her opener heavy not chain into deep gouge and have normal damage values at like 27 would be an improvement.

      @@nosferatu7259 but, i mean, if you are getting ganked by a pk, you are 1vs2 so the best strategy is to just stall 2 people of the enemy team by doing nothing.
      With PK bash you cant really do that anymore, you are forced to dogue

      @@vicio19995 not really. Her gank was always initiated by a gb for dodge heavy, as Freeze has shown. You wouldn't use a bash like that out of neutral, only if confirmed kinda like Medjay or Shugo do. But in her case it lacks what makes their bashes good in that situation. Her old gank works better and as for adding to ganks as PK, changing her opener heavy would make more sense.

      @@nosferatu7259 But Freeze only showed the gank initiated by a GB from the teammate, not the PK, you are still waiting for your teammate to initiate isnt?
      This would let you start a gank by yourselft, not using a external GB as PK and also get the bleed so you can start applaying external presure with unblockables

      @@vicio19995 PK can't initiate ganks unless it's gb specific ones like her own or Kyos. Some characters set up the other in a gank, some wait for a setup. PK falls into the latter category. Medjay is in the same situation, yet you wouldn't say externaling him shuts down his gank, would you?

    Is... there a problem with a hero being more suited towards one's? Honestly I'd like more dueling focused heroes, i feel like me and my small group of friends can't be the ONLY people who enjoy duels more than ganks

      the dominion playerbase is far more superior than the 10 players enjoying duels or the 2 players that enjoy brawls, ofc everything gets tweaked to fit the gamemode

      There’s nothing wrong with duel based characters, it’s just that 80% of For Honor’s player base only plays 4v4, so it stands to reason Ubisoft would try to make characters viable and appealing for 4v4

      ​@RangerAce1290 you can definitely see the difference, though. You see a duelist fight someone who is mostly 4s they tend to wipe the floor with the 4 player and vice versa. I just hate seeing a character that was fine in duels get nerfed cause the 4s community demands a nerf.

    I think a good, simple solution would be making PK’s top heavy opener do 27 damage, but not combo into gouge.

      SIMPLE solution is to make dagger CANCEL an attack throw, Akin to ring the bell. 1 Damage, 9 bleed. REMOVE BLEED AFTER HEAVIES. Make all heavies do 7 more damage.

    Her bash has it's uses against hyperarmor "option select" against her dagger feint. It is for sure is borderline useless in teamfights, but make it a bit faster and she'll get another decent 1v1 tool to cover her biggest weakness a bit - starting her bleed pressure.

      It's speed is fine, her only genuine issue is she struggles at bleeding people at the start. When she had her unblockable heavies it's simple and common gb or heavy into bleed, attackers choice but at the start, someone that just blocks can limit her to do I block heavy and be ready to react to bleed follow up if used.

      As is, PK has zero openers. If someone can react to lights, even if just blocking the pk has two options, throw a side heavy or soft feint to top bleed or gb. If the opponent doesn't make parry attempts and purposely only blocks, they just have to decide between the heavy or bleed because with them never attempting parries, pk can't gb to bleed. This is why pk biggest problem is openers because they all can be consistently countered. Her only good pressure needs the target bleeding to trigger her unblockable follow up heavies. With unblockable zone follow ups always available, she has a threat that isn't easy to ignore because now she can apply bleed by doing either soft faint gb or top bleed stabs or letting her unblockable go against people trying to do the previously mentioned defensive technique.

    As a PK main, I agree that this changes nothing. PK has issues against fullguard characters, which the bash would help if it was faster. Now with the bash you have another soft feint option, which can also be beaten by a dodge attack. This is the main problem, since it's not fair to have a mixup favouring the enemy (since light parry punish isn't that good).

    The only thing i can see them doing to pks new bash. Is making it slower and allowing you to soft feint into dodge, stab or dodge attack. Or even cancel it!!!
    However ive always dreamed of her dodge foward heavy becoming undodgeable when bleeding. Id love that tbh

    i choose heroes I can accidentally deflect with (orochi/shaolin/kensei) because i love accidentally getting those. But i agree some characters requiring same button and others different seems capricious

    For a bash that's meant to open up opponents for pk in Dom this bash WOEFULLY underperforms, it's like a worse version of medjay's staff grab in every way, I feel like a way to make this bash threatening enough is to put the opponent into an animation where pk can get two gb deep gouges (not three because that's what the guardbreak is for), not only guaranteeing her solid damage but keeping an enemy still long enough for a teammate to prepare a Nasty heavy, she just doesn't have good enough gank potential and one tiny light confirm with trace amounts of bleeding isn't going to do much long term, even with unblockables

      I kinda like it as is, maybe make the stun long enough to guarantee a teamates side heavy (top if they are playing a weird character like warlord). Something guaranteed but needs a but of knowledge without a overly major punish because I believe PK damage is fine, right now, she just needs a more consistent way to bleed an opponent initially.

    Maybe give her like a dodge forward GB, like kensie and raider. So she can isolate enemies in team fights and focus more on her dueling capabilities.
    Or give her a neutral unblockable that throws but deals very little damage. So she now has external pressure and the ability to at least attempt to isolate enemies. This could have problems though idk. Any ideas?

      If you just made the bash a pin like hug or grab, it’s instantly sets her a dom role, a counter to externals and gives her synergy.

    I thought myself that normal bash wouldn't fit pk, but after trying this one i started to think she could have it, and it wouldn't make her extremely powerful, since you don't have chain after landing this bash. At least it's something worth to be put in another testing grounds.

    Wouldnt the bash help her with external presure? , i mean, once you target another enemy and external lock PK she cant really do anything imo, she just stays there waiting that his teammate lands a hit.

      You are correct, PK suffers externally and the devs added the bash for that exact reason. What Freeze is saying is that this bash adds nothing to her optimal ganks, nor is it useful in 1v1. It will only be useful in lower skill levels with sub optimal ganks/ random teammates. I believe the main issue people have with it is bashes are boring and the least creative solution for the problem of PK’s external pressure.

      @@psychobooty1109 i m fine with she getting a bash that is bad in 1vs1 as long as it lets you initiate something in a gank scenario reducing his waiting time.
      Most of the time you will not coordinate for a perfect gank, so is something similar to Chaman in my eyes, were she can try to bash you to open your defense helping a teammate.
      And it being a bad bash, is totally in line with Pk flavor

    Not sure if I've ever seen complaints about her hitboxes outside of her side dodge attacks. But even there I think the complaint has always been more focused on their awful recoveries (iirc) if you don't land a hit. As far as the bash goes I think it's important to distinct that while the devs said ganks in general I think the bash is meant to give PK a way to initiate ganks instead of following up on someone elses opener.
    Wether or not PK needs that or if this bash was the right way to add that are the topics to discuss. Also I am curious, is the deep gouge after the bash delayable or not?

    The bash is far too slow. I get the feeling it should be combo'd with her heavy soft feint dodges for more mixups. Personally, I would make the input forward dodge>light, so she can try and bait a dodge for a gb triple stab, or land a deflect on someone trying to interrupt with a top light. I'd also make it a pinning attack rather than a shoulder bash (like a toestab that bleeds), and have it reposition PK behind the opponent, like shinobi deflect or orochi storm rush. But that last bit is just a little wish of mine.

    This bash won't buff PK at high level, but will buff her at low to mid levels of play, which I think is still a good thing.

    As a PK main who primarily plays dominion, I have mixed feelings about her having a bash. As is in testing grounds, it's kinda just bad lmao. While I wouldn't be opposed to her having a bash, does she actually need one though? A small amount of tweeking in some other area could have just as much of an effect i feel.

    One cool thing I’ve been having fun with is dodge cancelling heavies into the bash. I don’t know about any frame data for it, but cancelling into a forward dodge bash usually catches people trying to deal with the heavy/ dagger cancel mix up😁

    Personally when I fight PK’s I just keep my guard to the top and block the rest of her slow heavies and they can’t really do anything else so I don’t mind her getting a bash but it seems kinda useless for now since well I’m not sure about other timings but I feel like the only attack that’s as slow as the bash is medjay’s grab

      Not only is medjay’s grab slow, it does dmg on its own and it’s feintable, PK is useless against someone who is competent since her bleed poles are so predictable since they can only come from the top

    also on the deflect, i would like that deflects didnt stop the dogue atack, if you get a deflect and you did a dogue atack, just have the dogue atack continue, we did a suseccful dogue.
    Have the Deflect Input have a better reward, but dont block the normal option.
    Unless that is fixed, i think deflects should remain in the same input as dogue atacks.
    Sure you will reward luck, but you will not punish right choices

    As a Pk main I’m excited to see her getting some attention, especially stamina reduction on the zone since her main problem is low(ish) damage at super high stamina cost making some combos not worth throwing sometimes

    Why does every character have to have a bash now? I havent been ingaging with the game and community that match anymore but I bet I'm one of many saying this. Every character is slowly feeling the same over time. Like also the shogu sprint change. Why????? I get hes slow and his old sprint was pretty situational and sometimes risky but it was still fun run at someone like a bowling ball. That made him unique. It wasnt much but those little things can make a huge difference sometimes.

    I personally don't like the fact that the opponent has to be bleeding in order to have a ub heavy. Sure it may be easy to get someone to bleed but I don't think it should be a requirement in order to have better offense. What do you guys think?

      I think the trade off is higher damage because with the added bleed, Peacekeeper does above average damage compared to the rest. Not only that, she gets enhanced 400ms lights in any light attack she throws.
      I think it’s fine she requires bleed for unblockables

    Very simple change they need do to Pk, give her back her bleed pokes from all sides INSTEAD OF ONLY THE TOP. There was no reason for them to change that yet let shaman keep her bleed from all directions PLUS SHE HEALS EVERYTIME SHE HITS SOMEONE BLEEDING. Coming from a cent main who’s second highest is HL and occasionally played PK, I gave up on her as she struggles in dominion and every time I even try to bleed someone which is her main source of dmg, I always get parried out of it even tho I rarely go for bleed pokes simply because they’re so predictable since they always come from the top

    PK needs a heavy light heavy chain. Have the deep gouge be a same side comfirmed light. This also allows her to chain straight into unblockable from the bleed and not start from neutral. Make the deep gouge 5 bleed damage, and 1 bleed per tick. Same duration of bleed and the other 5 damage can be added to the heavies. No changes in overall damage.

      @@jdawg8458 no, i mean softfeints. You can softfeint any heavy or zone into a dodge, iirc dodgecancels cancel the recovery of any attack with a dodge(she can only do that after dagger stabs)

      Wouldn't fix externaling her, which is the issue they tried to solve for her
      Just keep blocking so she can't chain after lights, since she needs bleed for her enhanced lights to come out. Which she'd still have issues applying

    the stamina cost reduction is objectively a good thing, and the hitboxes being bad isnt something ive heard but something i have heard, said and experienced is her really shitty tracking/forward movement. Now ive not played against or as PK in a while, but an issue thats always been there is with the heavies just not moving anywhere causing a lot of situations where you should have the chain continuing but you just whiff and are forced into neutral.
    On the bash, i think what they mean by "gank" is the situation, while specific is common for normal players, in dominion where you come across a teammate in a fight and go to help but the other player is smart enough to just sit on external block. This means you really just cant do anything unless they lock to you, or you can get a GB and be lucky enough that your teammates bash doesnt knock you out of the GB attempt first and they dont just monkey brain follow up without looking to see what you are doing first. This bash will at least let you force the opponent to react to what you are doing, and stop this above situation (which to note, normally leads to a long stalled fight where one of the enemies teammates respawns/finally shows up, or your teammate kills them easily and you just wasted like 15-30 seconds. Every other character in the game would either help get the kill or force a revenge pop at low HP in this specific situation.)
    Overall though, i really dont think this will solve that issue, and its really not one that probably needs to be solved in the first place.

    I haven't played this game for years, and saying that everyone is getting a bash kind of upsets me a little. I really liked the variety und unique perks of each character. Making all more and more the same sounds kinda boring. I hope that atleast the current players can enjoy these changes. I'll stick to other games for now.

    I’ll say it even here. All heroes at this point need a bash, a side dodge attack and lastly a unblockable finisher. All bashes should be 100% committed, meaning you can’t fient them but you should be able to soft fient into them.
    Idk why people hate this idea and common excuse is “oh this will make them all the same then.” The answer is no it won’t and the reason why is simply due to their moveset and your play style/knowledge of that specific hero’s ability.
    Class structure doesnt even exist in this game any more for typical fighting games the vanguards beat heavies, heavies beat assassins, and assassins beat vanguards, hybrids are in the middle. But we don’t see that at all in this game.
    Next when I hear the complaint of this will make all heroes the same I laugh because 90% of heroes have at least 1 bash. That 1 bash is not fientable in 90% of all heroes. All heroes have a side dodge attack or a bash that becomes an attack.
    The human body is limited by the number of limbs we have therefore any initiating attack is going to be limited to all similar moves for all characters. Perfect example is Mordhau, and chivalry 1 and 2 where class simply comes in how much armor that character has and how to utilize their kit to survive.
    The very idea of berserker and hitokiri both have endless combos, both have hyper armor, both have 3 sided heavy unblockables the only difference, hito has a kick and a sweep, and berserker has deflects and light heavy chain.
    Eventually berserker will get a bash and minds will be blown. What I find fascinating is how people already explode and judge first until they “learn” how to fight that character. To understand this simply get into a sparring match with multiple people and you will see varying styles of fighting even though it’s the same art form. Each person will react differently.

      bash is just a universal tool of thise game, a core mechanic, is not a clucht or a hidden trick, is almost like having a GB.
      if you dont have a bash to crack the defense of the enemy, you need a very powerfull tool to compensate that.

    P.S.: They could have give her a stance which makes her more agile in dodge attacks like JJ or deep dodge like Tian Di because shes a feather weighted person or parries because she has TWO weapons but instead uses her weak 40kg weight to bash ANYONE.
    You know,decades ago when I was a young hopper(12), a girl classmate once tried to push me and "fell" on the table backwards and I was in a normal youth shape .I wasn't moving or doing anything at all . Just stood there . Not fat nor heavy muscular . Altho I started heavy lifting for 2 years back then . But she literally pushed herself to the ground and this animation reminds me of that memory. Btw, we became nice classmates years after.Anyway .
    Seriously I really think some entirely different team made the Wu lin heroes. It simply can't be such a coincidence.

    I will never understand unfeintable slow bashes. I can react to that when I'm half asleep.. Are you supposed to run away from all 1v1 and go hide behind your teammates so you can spam bash in ganks?? What an absolutely idiotic way to play the game.

      Some people forgot that most players are console /gamepad users . And as far as I know , they don't use the Wolverine gamepad which cost 100$+ with extra buttons on its back . :)

      2. break hiper armor so they are better than the dogue atack
