Always a pleasure to listen to Tessa. This is a perfect example of how politics on the ground, listening to our people, engaging the community and fostering proper dialogue instead of showpiece nonsense can achieve. Our nation is crying out but no one is listening like Tessa
Dr. Sizwe you are bringing top notch interviews back to back; no other platform is doing this at the moment. Well done my brother! Great insights from Tessa!
This is the best podcast for me in the world. Thank you for such a beautiful work. Can I please suggest that before you start asking and questioning your guests - introduce in-depth about your guests. What they do, their success and political credentials. ❤
Eloquent, erudite, bold, brilliant - a visionary with her feet firmly on the ground. Thank you, Tessa. Thank you, Dr Sizwe. Our country needs the likes of you. Ayeye👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👌🏽
Excellent personality, voiceferous indeed , a realistic vision to real issues . Tessa a lady of Substance, is on a fantastic platform with Dr Sizwe MWX , well received.
Thank you SMWX. This conversation is so profound. You would never get this in mainstream media. Democracy needs an upgrade. Neoliberalism Capitalism is not working for the majority. Thank you Tessa. Thank you SMWX. Makwande kukhanye kuni 🔥🙏🏾❤️
I don't even like Zuma nor am I Zulu but I could see myself voting for the MK in the next elections. I voted for the EFF in the last elections, I am not loyal to any party. I just want the ANC & DA gone & will vote for any party that's ready to take them head on MK seems to be the only party (currently) mobilizing & organizing to do that.
First time i meet this lady and out of all the interviews you have had Sizwe, this lady speaks a lot of sense and i like how she thinks as she resonates with the public and actually understands what is happening more than professors and analysist by FAR when it comes to MKP!!!!!
Colored people are blessed with this straight forward attitude and honesty if we can have more of them in politics space lots of things will go accordingly
Tessa well done, she has a true sense of what the country should look like. I really enjoy listening to leaders who know exactly how to articulate the right message.
I hardly watch news but I make sure that SMWX is keeping me updated. Thank you for your efforts and changing the narrative giving us an alternative platform.

I'm not from South Africa, but I'm a regular follower of your program. Today, I just had to speak up. The young lady on your podcast is truly inspiring, and I'm proud to see honest and bold individuals like her making their voices heard. I completely agree with her views on democracy and its impact on communities. It's concerning to see that the current system seems to benefit only big businesses and politicians. The lack of equal rights for all and other challenges are alarming. Thank you for sharing her insightful thoughts, and I look forward to more discussions on this topic."
Thank you, Tessa, for your insight, compassion, and willingness to say it how it is. Neoliberalism has broken democracies the world over, and, if politicians don't start paying attention and making changes fast, it will only become easier for bad actors like Trump, Bolsanaro, and, arguably, Zuma, to take advantage of disenfranchised voters. People want change, but shouldn't have to settle for grifters and criminals who are only looking out for their own interests to get it. We deserve so much better than that. When these people are the only anti-establishment options available, however, we cannot be surprised when people with nothing to lose vote for them.
This is the comment i was looking for, democracy shouldn’t be a one size fits all, dismantling Neoliberalism should be a global political agenda before fixing the political landscape, she spoke about politics but didn’t address this Neoliberal ideology that is destroying society.
As an African and a lover of South Africa, this channel is a true source of inspiration. Thank you for the quality of your interviews and the excellence of your guests! I hope we’ll see Julius Malema on this channel soon. My hope is to see the MK and the EFF unite to restore power to Black South Africans!
Very eloquent and politically enlightened especially on our political diaspora. I didn't know what to expect, but Tessa done gave me chills through and through this chat. Well done SMWX and Dr Mpofu-Walsh
22:34 "The EFF slogan is always around jobs, where are the jobs going to come from? They (EFF) want capital to hire the people." This opinion is very ill-informed. Through all the EFF documents it explains where the jobs are going to come from and most of them will be supplied by the state through in sourcing and nationalisation. The EFF's stance on jobs has always been through state measures. Just wanted to clear that up.
I wish she and Sizwe interrogated the topic on progressive politics further - the oversimplification of key attributes of who we consider "left" and why they are considered left leaves much vacuum and can lead to misinformation to the electorate that hasn't taken the time to engage critically - and THIS is what MKP is thriving on
Remember there's an active campaign to discredit the proposals of the EFF. And the funding of Rivonia Circle where Tessa is part of the group that campaigned to destroy the ANC and block the EFF. It can't be right that a party with such strong support is branded as senseless by a majority of people who appear on the news and podcasts...
@@qhamamacanda5075 Very true! The result of mislabeling parties will be dishonest politics. These are organisations where society learns their intentions through their set constitutions and manifestos. What we know of the new popular party is what they put on their documentation paired with their actions. Are they democratic and how? Are they pro gender equality and how? Are they anti-corruption and how? Are they pro-poor and how? Tessa's analysis is reflective on the part of the MKP, which I like but I disagree with her stance on her flexible stand on what makes a progressive party or individuals because that seems like flawed politics to me. If we allow that then we would be following politics of vibes and not content.
The establishment is not ANC or the DA both are just the representatives of a "post" apartheid establishment. Both ANC and DA have progressive policies to some degree just so they can entice their voters; both of them have no interest in completely removing the apartheid establishment.
Focusing on views and not the feedback that your platform is getting is a trap that many content creators fall into. You won't know when it happened, it may have already happened, but you will soon forget the ability to introspect and maintain your principles.
