How to Change the Culture of Your Church to Include People with Disabilities

- Without a fundamental culture of inclusivity, “disability ministry” can actually serve to isolate and distance people with special needs. So how does a church culture go from (even accidentally) excluding people with disabilities to embracing them as equal members of the body of Christ?

Excellent point regarding people with disabilities being treated as “objects of service”. I’m not disabled, but there is so much need in this area, and I appreciate the education that I am receiving here. ❤
When I was attending Calvary Costa Mesa in person when pastor Chuck was still here, I remember that some of the developmentally disabled people sat right up front. It was awesome ❤
I feel excludedvthan included in church. There are those in the sanctuary whon react negatively and seem bothered. I stay home and watch services.
Jesus would be proud of you for watching services at home when the church is not being helpful to you. God bless you, Jesus loves you
Is everyone negative and bothered? Or could you find a circle? And if it’s a church where you can’t find a. Circle I would write the pastor a letter and let him know his church is lacking ❤️
Good word
❤
So true .
Great job!!
