The first 1000 people to use the link will get a free trial of Skillshare Premium Membership: skl.sh/artistjanebush02211 Hey Artists! I'm GIVING AWAY MY SET OF 24 HOLBEIN COLORED PENCILS! Details are at 12:58 and the contest ends February 24, 2020.
Currently my favorite pencils are derwent lightfast but I also love my prismacolor when lightfastness is not an issue. I just love a buttery soft lead. The pastels in the holbein range look unique!
I really would LOVE to have a bigger set of the Derwent lightfast, and I saw your wonderful review on it 😄I have the 12 set and it’s amazing all the colors you can get from just those 12. The pastels in the Holbein set are absolutely gorgeous. It’s sort of a sensory experience when using colored pencils, isn’t it? The lay down to me is if you’d take the best parts of some of the best pencils and put it into one pencil. That’s at least my humble opinion and experience 😄♥️
I love the creamy aspect of the prismacolors, but the experience is always interrupted by their constant breaking. I haven't tried the derwent lightfast yet, but I do love their inktense.
hank you for your wonderful give away. I whole hearted agree with you. Holbein IS MY FAVORITE colored pencil. I'm very excited that they can be purchased in the US. I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE BEAUTIFUL PENCILS,
My favorite pencil by far is Luminance by Caran D'ache followed by Prisma. I like them for completely different reasons. Luminance has a quality that I just love and everything I do with them is just amazing because they are nearly effortless to use. Their white and buff-colored pencils are truly magical when doing skin. I remember the first time I used them to blend some Prisma colors for skin tones and I just sat back and could not believe I had produced something that looked so realistic and saved quite a few layers than had I did it completely with Prisma. I love Prisma for the buttery texture and they blend so well and have amazing colors but that thick wax build-up really gets to me. So does the lack of quality..
mine is Caran D'Ache Luminance, but I have the pastel set of Holbein imported from Japan and I LOOOOoooove how they feel. So I was going to gradually build up the rest of the collection. Thanks for sharing the love with us- if it wasn't for your videos, I would have never found the Holbeins.
Prismacolors are my favorite. I like them for the color range and that I can easily afford (and find) replacements when needed.I will say that I have been drooling over the Holbeins since Blick has got them.
Oddly enough, my favorite colored pencils are the Faber-Castell Goldfabers because they hit the sweet spot between the soft creamy Prismacolor Premiers and the firmness of Polychromos. The limited color range is disappointing, but of course they are meant to be a gateway pencil to the artist quality Polychromos. However, because they layer almost as well as a Prismacolor but can be sharpened for fine detail, I find myself reaching for them more than any of the other two.
Very interesting choice! I’ll have to give them a try! I had some reaaaallly old goldfabers that were nice, but I’m not sure if the new ones are the same formula. I think they may have been watercolor pencils. 🤔
great video, had no idea Holbein made colored pencils,I use their watercolor paints, would be great to try them. Have to say I am a big fan of Prismacolors for over 40 years. glad I found your channel. You're eyeshadow is gorgeous as are your eyes. Thanks again.
Holbein are a solid brand all around. I love their watercolors too and their artists’ gouache! Thank you for so much for your the compliments 💙 I appreciate it! Also, loved the old Prismacolors from when Berol owned them and beyond. They seemed to be really solid back in the day.
@@ArtistJane Your welcome. And I agree some of the people on youtube have found that they are back to their standard now. I still have a bunch of the "Old" ones back when I don't think there were sets and I had to buy them one by one.
I have use a few brands of coloured pencil over the years, but my favourite pencils are by Derwent, they have so many ranges and types of coloured pencils, I tend to go for the water soluable ranges like their "Inktense" range as the colours are so vibrant, but also I love their "Graphitint" range which are tinted blacks in effec,t also watersoulable,They also have their "Watercolour" pencil range which are artist quality, they also do a range of Tinted Charcol pencils also watersoluable. I use them with other media like inks, or at the moment alcohol pens. I always buy a set of 12 to try a range of pencils then once I feel confident buy bigger sets or sometimes create my own palete of colours buying individual pencils.I think Derwent have one of the biggest ranges of coloured pencils in different types. So happy to see you finally have the Holbein pencils to work with and I hope they really inspire you to experiment and hope to see more viseos of you working with these amazing pencils
Thank you for always being here, Matt! Glad to hear from you and I love the Derwent line too. I have their graphitint pencils (they’re gorgeous - I should do a video on them), and I’d love to get ahold of the paint pans they have of them now. Coloursoft is an underrated pencil in my opinion. They’re so creamy and vibrant, and they help with any hand fatigue I’ve had over the years.
@@ArtistJane Thanks Jane, Coloursoft were the first pencil range I ever tried, they are indeed underated. Derwent also make the inktense rane in stick form,i'e they look like soft pastels and they also do them as pan set as well. I think the Inktense and Graphitint are my outright go to favourites, I've used them for years now. I soo love the Madonna shirt!!, way cool! I have one like that of Kylie. It would be great to see a video on the Graphitint pencils, as the colours are fantastic, I often use them with my inktense pencils, but I also use them over acrylic inks and watercolours too.I do have the pans of the graphitint pencils and you will enjoy them if you decide to get a set.I think I love Derewent because they are always trying bring out new types of pencils or new ways to work with their established ranges. My recover is going okay, but it's become apparent I will not recover my speech, but aside from that I get futher each day and my art is really pulling me through .Always happy to see a new video from you. I'm loving the Art-n-Fly markers by the way,and using pencils with them is giving amazing results,so thank you for that reccommendation and inspiration and the Arteza markers are also proving fun to work with too. Take care, stay strong, and be inspired.
Currently using prismacolor premiers, learning how to layer and blend properly has been interesting, but, also learning patience has been paramount. Would love to try Holbein eventually when I can afford to. Great video. 👍
My favorite brand of colored pencils that I have and have actually used are Faber-Castell Polychromos. I don't even have the full set, only a 12 set that I received in a one-time art box, but I love them so much. I'm saving for a full set. I would be thrilled to have even a small set of Holbeins. I dare not even dream... lol. Thank you so much for the opportunity. Good luck everyone! Cheers & Happy Coloring!!! 😘❤🖌🖍
A biased review is only bad when it's not sincere! And you, my friend, are more than sincere, especially with this brand! These look great! "Oh ma goodness!" LOL!! Love the cherry rendering! So well done! As for still life and life drawing, I cannot WAIT for this silly pandemic to be over so I can sign up for a class. I'm dying to get back into a class with other people and draw for real, again! lol! This was a treat today! Thanks and hope you're feeling as good as you look in the video! Cheers! ~ Mark
Haha “oh mah goodness!” That’s what I always say when I see some kind of art supply or color that pleases me 😆 Always good to see you, Mark. I understand what you mean concerning the social aspect of the pandemic. I’ve thought about taking a studio art class in the future just to be around other artists. I love my local artists and I miss seeing them at art show openings! By the way, I thought OH MAH GOODNESS on your turquoise color video because not only was your artwork awesome but Turquoise is by far one of my favorite colors. Usually a blue violet and true purple are second in command. I’m doing well! Hope you are feeling well too!
Just wanted to thank you again for introducing me to these lovely pencils. I would love to see your favorite Holbein products/colors. I was lucky to find the full sets from Amazon Japan in 2020 for a steal. Just fyi as a fellow UA-camr, there is a new store called Discovered Japan that has great prices and ships to the USA. They are gifting Holbein products to content creators, and they offer affiliate links. ;) ❤ Stephanie Davis
Hey Jane, I’ve been looking forward to this video... I was curious to know if they were the same as the previously released pencils. Not that it would matter to me because I don’t own any of them. I was just curious...lol I like that Meltz stuff you were using to blend their pencils. Is that something that Holbein makes to use with just their colored pencils? Or can it be used with other colored pencils? I consider myself a colored pencil artist so I love all kinds of colored pencils and I have many sets. I love them all but if I have to pick a favorite right now I’m really loving 🥰 my Caran D’Ache Luminance colored pencils. I can appreciate your honest review of these pencils. I still haven’t ordered any yet. I think the next time I order from Blick I might order some. I didn’t forget I owe you an email still. Take Care of yourself Stay Safe. Love the Madonna Shirt BTW!!!! Ps The Cherry 🍒 still life came out awesome. I love my
Luminance are incredible pencils! I’d love to get my hands on their portrait colors set. The Meltz is designed to be used with Holbein pencils, and they are the manufacturers. However, I’m wanting to test them on other colored pencil brands to see if it will play well with others! Thank you on the Madonna shirt! 😄Stay safe and stay healthy too!
@@ArtistJane I got them to add to the complete set I had I like the new flesh tones they came out with. So beautiful 🤩!!!! Those earth tones I loved them all if you get them got for the full 24 set. I got mine from CW Pencils Enterprises cwpencils.com/ (but it looks like they are closed until March to revamp their web store) They shipped out to me super quick. I was surprised and very happy!!!!
To date my favorite colored pencils are the Faber Castell Polychromos, however I recently purchased a few of the Holbein pencils from Blick and they are up there with the Polychromos. They are a close second, if not tied. I would love to win this set to add to the few I currently have! Thank you for hosting this giveaway!
Wow that soundtrack takes me back and gives away how old I really am!!!!lol. Great Demo and review. Stunning. Now to go and hunt videos of REAL My Little Ponies, , Ulysses, Care Bears, HeMan and Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors!!!!
I am new to colored pencils and don't have a favorite yet. Prismacolors, Crayola, and department store brands are only available in our area. Thank you for the review. Now I understand what all the hype is about these pencils. They are so pigmented and blend beautifully. I will have to save for these. Thank you for the opportunity to win a set.
I’m a beginning artist and I have a prismacolor set that I like but I’m just learning. I’ve been painting with acrylics and I use Holbein paints. They are incredible quality! I’m sure the colored pencils are equally amazing.
OMGOODNESS!! I had no idea Holbein made pencils! I LOVE the watercolor, and when I seen you had uploaded this I had to check them out! As for my favorite pencils, I love my Caran D’ache Luminess. Depending on the look I’m going for I also love my Prismacolor & Polychromos as well. Looking forward to checking out some more of your videos. Thank you so much for sharing this!!
Holbein watercolor is wonderful! I didn't know they released the color pencils in the USA until your video! I have a set of Caran dache that I love dearly!! I am super curious about the pastel set. I just discovered you!
Currently, my favorites are Polychromos, but as I’m doing a self portrait now, I find the colors lacking. So, back to my tried and true 2nd favs of Prismacolors. I’m excited to try the ever elusive Holbeins... So glad their finally here!
I have been waiting for these to come to the USA! Yay! I’ll be ordering a few open stock from Blick”s! Thanks for the info. I’m old school, started out with my Prismas, but find myself picking up my Polychromos just as much lately. These tend to play well with the different mediums I enjoy using. I’m looking forward to see how the Holbein’s feel...😉
All reviews are filtered through the reviewers and the viewers. So w just have to take that into account. It's life. I really appreciate your reviews. I feel you are honest and fun. I appreciate that you'll admit flops or mistakes and let us see we can all grow and are warned about making the same mistakes. Thank you.
As a beginner with coloured pencils, so far I am loving my reasonably new Prismacolor pencils. They are so different from my 30 year old Derwent Artists pencils, which I am, only now, starting to use. Until watching Coloured Pencil Artists, like yourself, on UA-cam, I had no idea it was possible to create such beautiful pieces of art with coloured pencil.
@@patriciafergusongerkin3785 Yes - they are just as good as I remember them. What a lovely story about your Aunt Eva and her connection to your old Prismacolor pencils. I love how our art supplies can trigger old and happy memories. Yesterday, I went through my "orphan coloured pencil" jar, and I found a few of my very first coloured pencils, also Derwents, probably purchased in the mid to late 1960s. Memories of that time came flooding back, especially colouring in Disney pictures. Those few pencils also perform just as good as I remember, and just as good as any that can be purchased today (however short they are now).
Currently, my favourite colour pencils are Faber-Castell Polychromos. I have started colouring in the 2020 quarantine, when art supplies were in shortage where I live. Always liked big challenges. haha I would love to feel the Holbeins! 😍
I used to enjoy koh I Noor polycolor and I still do, but I switched over almost entirely to Derwent artist and procolour. They don't apply a heavy load of pigment immediately so I can be careful with them and they also work wonderfully on tan and grey pastel paper with tooth. They also have a nice scent....
My fav color pencils are Holbein. I bought 4 separate colors when I travelled to Japan a couple of years ago and I regret not buying more at Sekaido!!!! 😘♥️
I have recently begun using polychromos and they have become my favorites. I have wanted to try the Luminance and Holbein for a long time. Luminance are pricey so I have been saving for them. But, NOW that Holbein can purchased here I will need to make a choice between the two. I mighr just get a couple of each and figure which one I like best.
How do we sign up?. So exciting!!💗😁.. I just Shared.. SO SWEET!! I'M FAIRLY new to Adult Coloring.. So many People Make BEAUTIFUL in their ART!! Love the Video..👍🤟🙏.. oh and my favorite is Prisma colored pencils..
I don’t have a favorite yet, I’m fairly new to using colored pencils and I have a full set of prisma pencils which I have been enjoying. I did however order about 20 pencils from Dick Blick of different brands so I could start trying other pencils. I got a couple of Faber Castel poly chromos and they seem to be quite nice. I also have a few Uni Posca pencils and I really love how vibrant the colors are. Great shirt by the way!
OMG! I haven't used colored pencils since the 60s.....back when stores sold the Venus Paradise Color By Number Kits! I loved them! My parents always supported my artsy side! These look amazing, and so does that shirt!
I bounce around with colored pencils. My favorites are: Prismacolor, Faber Castell Polychromos and Goldfaber, Caran D'ache Pablo, and Arteza are pretty good as well.
I’ve only just started my colored pencil stash. I have the full Prismacolor pencils, but am excited to get my hands on the full set of Polychromos soon! 💖✨💖.
I have been working with Prisma since I was a kid (55 now). I recently was able to buy a set of Polychromos. As of right now the Polychromos are my favorites. I have been saving to get Caran Dache but only because it was not easy to get repkacements for the Holbeins. But as we all know now Blick is now carrying them. I got 3 Holbein and 3 Caran Dache. Hands down I like Holbein more.
LOVE the shirt, I’m a HUGE Madonna fan from waaay back! I would love the Holbein for my daughter, she’s such a gifted young artist with raw natural talent, her favorite is the small Prismacolor set I gave her for Christmas a few years ago. These are on her wishlist, but they’re sooo pricey.
Oh they do look so pretty!! I have been using the Prisma, as well as Derwent but my colored pencils do not stop there. I have an open gap and waiting for the Holbeins to join in.
Prismacolor so far is my fave. Can't wait to try Holbien someday! Just bought some Faber Castell gold leafs to try and prismacolor is so much better, imo.
I only have experience with Prismacolor and polychromos and I really like them both equally for different things. I have been wanting to try the Holbein but I haven’t been able to buy them right now.
I absolutely adore you and your videos it's hard to choose one favorite pencil brand because they all have a unique lay down of colors and feel I would say if I had to caran de arch luminance I really want to try meltz it looks fun tyfs all your informative videos, you rock.
I’ve just recently joined the color pencil world once I was gifted a prismacolor set & I was blown away by how smooth they blend but now I’m coming across videos like this that tell me I’m still using great value pencils!! 😲
As a beginner I have only tried Arteza and they seem ok for now, but I'm afraid to spend the money on more expensive pencils at the moment... I would love to try these, prismacolor and polychromos one day..
My favorite currently are Polychrome and Luminance, but always looking for any new colored pencils. I want to try the Holbein, but they are super pricey.
So far my favorite have to be Faber Castell Polychromos, I'm trying to slowly build up a tiny collection of others to try out! Great review, thank you for putting the word out that these are finally available in the US :)
I haven't tried very many colored pencils, beyond my colerase from prismacolor, but I use those mostly for sketching than for coloring. I've been tempted to try watercolor pencils, or any colored pencils since they're a medium that doesn't bleed through bujo paper like markers and watercolors.
I am a new colorist and I really like Prisma Color Premier....I haven't had a chance to try any other colored pencils except for good ol crayola 😁 thank you.
I love Albrecht Durer Watercolor pencils. I'm on a watercolors kick right now and am loving those. I'm sure it will change next month lol!! I haven't tried the Holbein but they are super expensive!! Thank you for bringing awareness to immune disorders and some days just not wanting to even do art. Keep doing these, they're upbeat and uplifting
Thank you, Janeen! I’ll continue to bring that awareness because I know we’re not alone and we live it! Even though art is our therapy, our health is #1! I love the albrecht durer too. They are so vibrant and I love how they completely melt under water!
@@ArtistJane I was just thinking about you today - I was having a TERRIBLE flare up and couldn't get off the recliner because...well that was just my day and pain was really bad, but I heard your voice saying "time to do art" P.S. not your real voice because that would be weird, creepy and borderlining on psychotic and even though some days I feel like I'm one of my patients...it hasn't gotten there yet!! Mental health awareness y'all!! I did order a set of the Polychromos to make me feel better to go along with my Albrecht Durer though. When I feel bad physically or I'm anxious...I spend money on coloring stuff. Oh, and TP because that's relevant always😂😂
I like the Prismacolor when I’m working on black paper (for their opacity) and I use the Faber-Castell on any other color. New pencils are such a joy as the always offer some colors you don’t have.
So far my favorites have have bee Polychromos and Derwent Lightfast but I haven’t had an opportunity to try Holbein yet! Only heard wonderful things about them!
Prismcolor Premier was my top favorite until I bought some Holbeins on Blick, open stock. Now my favorite is Holbein 😍 I started off by buying half the pastel colors
I've used the full set of Holbein for five years now. I love them but I use them sparingly because they are so expensive. If I get another full set, I will use my first set more often. Their pastels are awesome.
I love using my prisma color pencil but I tried Holbein watercolors and love em now I really want these watercolor pencils 😍😍😍😍 They look gorgeous & less lead breaking 😂😂
I’ve only ever had crayola colored pencils and faber castell watercolor pencils and I definitely love my faber castell ones. But I think my favorite artist grade colored pencil (if it get them) will be holbein they look amazing! Great video you’ve got me hooked!
Hmmm my favorites ?? Love Prismas, but sometimes get very angry when all of a sudden they seem to disintegrate in front of my eyes. Started usin Polychromos. Really like them but immediately noticed the colors are noticiably less vibrant. Now waiting for an order, (supposed to be here 2 days ago). I ordered a few Pablo's, and a Holbein in white. I would love to be able to try Holbein's before investing a lot of money in larger sets without knowing which one will be my lifelong "partner", so winning this giveaway would be great!! Also giving a thought to continuing what your starting and pass along the set to another so someone else would have the chance to share in the experience.
I ADORE Holbein pencils!! Was lucky enuff to receive the 150 set for my 53 birthday last year. I use them with my Faber Castell set(which was a birthday gift!) I love your videos and this one in particular. We now have a local place to go for open stock Holbein!! 🥰
Oooh! That’s a FANTASTIC gift!! Congrats and thank you for watching ♥️ They are an exceptional pencil, aren’t they? Those pastels are really the icing on the cake!
@@ArtistJane They are VERY exceptional pencils! And I ADORE the pastels!! Those are the ones I'm already buying in open stock~purples, greens, pinks. 🥰
I am so excited that I can now try a couple of the Holbein pencils from Dick Blick. My favorite pencils are the Prisma colors. Those cherries are so cool!!
Why do you like them better than PrismaColors? I just got a set of 12 prisma colors and they are so much better than Crayola, but I wish I had gotten more colors. Doesn't even have the primaries cyan magenta and the right yellow.
My favorite colored pencils are polychromos. I like how they much detail you can get with them. They also last a long time I have only had to replace a few pencils in the last few years.
Polychromos and Pablos are my faves, though I only have a handful of Pablos. A couple of years ago when Blick were clearing out the old Utrecht-branded pencils for a song, I picked up a bunch--they aren't fancy but they were nice to sketch with :)
Hi. I don’t have a favorite yet... I use a small prismacolor set that I was given. I don’t like that you can only blend so much due to the wax...I hadn’t heard of these and thought Fabre Castile was what I should save for because they are oil based. My question is, are these wax or oil based? Thank you for the video/information!
I'm new to colored pencils I have prisma and just ordered faber castel polychromos. We will see what I like more. Maybe some day I'll order some Holbein
YAY! Those cherry's turned out great! I love your 80's and 90's vibes girl. Out of the ones I have tried I love the polychromos, they are so smooth and pigmented, and don't constantly break on me. I did also just try out inktense pencils though and I am also loving those. I have wanted to try the holbein pencils, so excited they are in they US now. Just gotta get the money next haha.
@@ArtistJane Yes Polychromos are the best that I have tried anyways. I love that they stay sharp and don't break. I want to love prismacolors as they are affordable and creamy but gosh they break so much. I don't know if I got a bad set or what, but I can barely use them. I have been wanting to get the inktense blocks, but I just can't afford the price for those atm. I love the inkense pencils though they have been a lot of fun. They were a great Christmas gift.
@@melsgalleria I love the Intense pencils too have been working with the for years now, they also do these as pure pigment sticks and as a set of pans now too. You might want to try the "Graphitint" pencils by Derwent, they are watersoluable and are in effect tinted black/graphite. I have ben using these for a while now too and they also do these as a pans as well.I often use them with the Inktense pencils.
@@Vanitasmortedigital I have actually be wanting to get the inktense blocks, just haven't had the money, I just got the pencils for Christmas and I love them. I have seen teh graphitint too and wanted to try them, but I will probably try to get the blocks first. lol The colors are just amazing.
@@melsgalleria Enjoy using the Inktense pencils, they are amazing to work with, the colours are really intense, and I have found they look great on toned paper too like tan or grey.I think you can buy the inktense blocks individually in 'open stock' maybe think about getting just a few colours to try. I'm learning to work with alcohol markers and I have found the inktense pencils work with these too.Hope the inktense pencils realy inspire you.
I’m not sure if this giveaway is open to fans in Canada or not but thanks to you and your top 3 favourite pencil crayons video I bought some FC Polychromos a few years ago and greatly enjoy using them. Unfortunately Holbein is not accessible where I live but I would love to try them out one day seeing how much you rave about them!
@@charlotteboy6783 I just do light layers and they will handle many layers. They seem to blend pretty easy for me I have more trouble with the poly chromos.
Well, thanks to Jane, I’ve tried most of the artist quality color pencils out there! 🤦🏻♀️ lol My three favorites are Holbein, Polychromos and Pablo. It would be nice if Holbein came out with soft pastels in either stick or pencil form! BTW...how did I not know of your Meltz video? That’s some crazy 💩 !
Haha! I’ve enabled the artist grade pencil collection! But hey, I’m happy you like em! I’m going to have to do a whole separate video on the Meltz. It’s just they aren’t easy to find in the US market from what I know 😞
Prismacolor pencils are great both in price and availability for me, but I'm currently trying to save up for the next tier of color pencils and had my eye on Holbein after watching some reviews.
I have been waiting for a comparison video to the OG Holbein pencils, thanks! I bought the 24 set and have been doing some drawings with them and LOVE them. My (former) favorites were Prismacolors but now it's Holbein. (I don't want to be entered in the givaway, just commenting my appreciation!) Your videos are awesome, and so is the Madonna shirt :)
Currently I used mostly Faber castell and prismacolor. I love both of them . I heard about Holbein colored pencils but I was sure you can get them only in japan 😃 I would love to win them and try them with my drawing.
I am still a beginner with the whole colouring with pencils. As growing up and before I started watching different artists on youtube was unaware there was better pencil crayons out there than crayola. Especially ones with soft cores! Now branching out and researching different brands and varieties. So no favourite at moment as still trying to discover whats out there and availability of what I can get/ save up for.

Thanks for the link, at last the long wait and now the beautiful pencils are here!
I love your drawing of Davy Jones in the background. That really takes me back to my girlhood!
So happy to see this go up! I’ve been anxiously waiting.🎉 My favorite are the Luminance. Glad to see you will be able to be posting more videos.
Thank you! So good to see you here, Rebel! 🙌
Hey Jane, I’ve been looking forward to this video... I was curious to know if they were the same as the previously released pencils. Not that it would matter to me because I don’t own any of them. I was just curious...lol
I like that Meltz stuff you were using to blend their pencils.
Love your drawning. Favorite color pencils Carandache but excited to purchase Holbein. Love Holbein watercolor. SHELL PINK!
Oh they have some new “old school” my little ponies, and Care Bears (but I’m not sure if they look exactly like they used to).
Holbein are so beautiful, they really are in my top 3. Polychromos are still my babies, cause they are easily available where I live
I hear you! I hope that Holbein will eventually carry them in the Blick stores.
You’re very welcome! 😄 Holbein have beautiful gouache too! Luminance pencils are gorgeous too. I’d love to get my hands on the portrait set.
My current favourite colour pencils are prisma colours
I love the soft buttery feeling of the pencil
Holbein watercolor is wonderful! I didn't know they released the color pencils in the USA until your video! I have a set of Caran dache that I love dearly!! I am super curious about the pastel set. I just discovered you!
I’ll be doing a pastel video soon. It’s on the roster! Thank you and welcome 💛I agree that Holbein watercolors are amazing!
Currently, my favorites are Polychromos, but as I’m doing a self portrait now, I find the colors lacking. So, back to my tried and true 2nd favs of Prismacolors. I’m excited to try the ever elusive Holbeins... So glad their finally here!
My favourite are luminance... and so desperately wish I could try Holbein! I so know I would fall in love!!
Hello! What a nice video's you make. Would love to try the Holbein pencils, have tried polychromos in the past. Have a nice day!
Thanks for the video! My favorite brand of colored pencils is Faber Castell Polychromos. ✏️😊 and I ❤️ the shirt!
also love your bloopers!! they
make me laugh!! thank you
Currently, my favourite colour pencils are Faber-Castell Polychromos. I have started colouring in the 2020 quarantine, when art supplies were in shortage where I live. Always liked big challenges. haha I would love to feel the Holbeins! 😍
I really love your shirt. If only I had that way back in time. 💕
My favorite pencil brand is Caran d'Ache Luminance. I have
expensive taste. 😏😂
I guess my favorite are the latest I’ve bought:) I need to try them all before I can really pick. Look forward to your Holbein in action videos.
My favorite brand of colored pencils is derwent, they have a lot of variety and the quality is excellent
And I have never ever tried hobo and pencils! I would love to try them!
I’ve only just started my colored pencil stash. I have the full Prismacolor pencils, but am excited to get my hands on the full set of Polychromos soon! 💖✨💖.
I love polychromous pencils! I think I’m going to like the Holbeins too. I’m ordering a small set to try them out.
Oh thank you, Marilyn! You’re so sweet! ♥️🙌 I’m so happy you’re hear and enjoying the videos.
polychromos!! Very interested in trying these!!Thanks for the opportunity!
I also just started colouring also
Prisma colors are the best so far. Love your channel
Love your video u crack me up! My favorite pencil is chameleon and prisma ! Be well , be safe and have a colorful day!
Prisma are my favorite so far. I did finally get a set of polychromous. However still learning to use them. 🤞I can’t believe we can finally try them.
Thoroughly enjoyable. And your shirt is totally kick a**
Why thank you!!!! 🙌😄
I would love to draw like this!! I’ll have to check Kristy out on Skillshare. I like Luminance and it would be nice to compare Holbeins to them!!
Caran Di’Ache’s Pablo’s are just as lovely as their Luminance 🌟
I like the Prismacolor when I’m working on black paper (for their opacity) and I use the Faber-Castell on any other color. New pencils are such a joy as the always offer some colors you don’t have.
So far my favorites have have bee Polychromos and Derwent Lightfast but I haven’t had an opportunity to try Holbein yet! Only heard wonderful things about them!
Prismcolor Premier was my top favorite until I bought some Holbeins on Blick, open stock. Now my favorite is Holbein 😍 I started off by buying half the pastel colors
My favourite pencil and the one I always return to are Faber Castell Polychromos, I just love them 💕
I've used the full set of Holbein for five years now. I love them but I use them sparingly because they are so expensive. If I get another full set, I will use my first set more often. Their pastels are awesome.
I love using my prisma color pencil but I tried Holbein watercolors and love em now I really want these watercolor pencils 😍😍😍😍 They look gorgeous & less lead breaking 😂😂
loved the bloopers omg thank you
😄😄 You’re welcome and thank you!
I’ve only ever had crayola colored pencils and faber castell watercolor pencils and I definitely love my faber castell ones. But I think my favorite artist grade colored pencil (if it get them) will be holbein they look amazing! Great video you’ve got me hooked!
Thank you! So happy to hear you’re enjoying the content!
Polychromos pencils are my favorite after mainly using prismacolor waxy pencils
Why do you like them better than PrismaColors? I just got a set of 12 prisma colors and they are so much better than Crayola, but I wish I had gotten more colors. Doesn't even have the primaries cyan magenta and the right yellow.
My favorite colored pencils are Faber Castell Polychromos. I have been wanting to try the Holbein but they’re so expensive.
I love love love polychromos. They melt so well with oms and can take so many layers
I’m so happy you enjoyed it, and I’m with you - I’m a huge fan of Polychromos. I love inktense too, and I’d love to try the pans.
Luminance and polychromos are my favorite. They work together well!
Also I enjoy your bloopers! lol
My favorite color pencil is Shutterart because those are the first wax color pencils I ever brought. Still tryna get use to them.
I really like the caran dache Pablo’s. I really do want to try the Holbein sometime.
Any tips for Pablo's? I feel like my drawings don't look very vibrant or blendy but I might be using the wrong technique.
Cool colors i love colored pencils. I live my black widow pencils as well as steelers that I just discovered
I am loving some vintage derwent pencils right now. ❤
Currently I used mostly Faber castell and prismacolor. I love both of them . I heard about Holbein colored pencils but I was sure you can get them only in japan 😃 I would love to win them and try them with my drawing.
I can’t say I have a favorite yet. I haven’t gotten to try very many. I’m excited to have a chance to try these now that they are available.
I really like Luminance, but I only have a few colors. Are the more opaque or transparent? Thanks for sharing!
It depends on the pressure, but the colors are very vibrant and opaque!
@@ArtistJane thank you
Lyra Rembrandt is my favorite but I would love to try Holbein.
