    This proves that there are always people who will try to destroy any good thing. I grew up watching these shows. Love them. Thanks for bringing them back.

    Even though I was only 3 in 1958 when seahunt premiers when I was 6 I remember watching these the opening song kind of gave it a tragic intro but that’s how they all started 50s era shows I love seeing these episodes loyd bridges was a great actor and his sons allways said he was a great father

      Same age and felt the same way vis-a-vis the music. Highway Patrol with Broderick Crawford had similar dire-sounding theme music. Ditto Dragnet. Kraft Suspense Theatre. All of them! Loved them, too.

    Tropical river? New? Villages and cities? Well, if the Colorado river is "tropical", if "new" means built around 1930 and if Las Vegas is considered a village, then yeah. LOL. Thanks for uploading. Love Sea Hunt!

    The '50's were an amazing time for new technologies: jet and supersonic flight, atomic power, space flight, SCUBA , helicopters and of course the media by which these technologies could be showcased...TV. This show, as well as "Whirlybirds" of course, being an examples of that.

      Dynamite musta been a helluva lot more powerful back in those days. Today it would take a good size Nuke to do the job. ;-)

    Watching this video at 12:00, I thought that Finch was probably behind the sabotage.
    Having now watched this, for the first time - these Hollywood movies, and episodes for that matter, as so alike, that one can know the outcome the 1st time watching it.

    One of the great things about SEA HUNT was the variety of stories: the rescue of a piot whose plane has gone down, catching oyster pearl thieves, rescuing a freedom fighter from a communist country--you name it, Mike Nelson did it.

      Nice idea! I think that technologically speaking, it is possible to do that; but maybe the only way to sell it would be with special DVD sets.

      +Debbie Brunner -- When Ted Turner started colorizing classic B&W movies for his TV network, Orson Wells led a boycott. I agree with Wells; leave the programs alone and show them as they were filmed.

      The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau was the first undersea color TV that I can remember. What they're doing with HD now is almost true to life.

    I noticed Bridges's wetsuit was ripped up and must assume they had to do a number of takes with him getting in that pipe, hence the scuffs and tears.

    • @ronjeffrey8641
      @ronjeffrey8641 3 роки тому

      Most wetsuits in those days were black (they went for function over fashion) however when filmed in black and white there wouldn't be enough contrast with alot of the darker backgrounds, so they painted the suits a medium blue. The paint was fairly easy to scrape off. You see those scrapes in quite a few episodes.
      A lot of people don't realize the issues with black and white filming for instance in the old Superman series during the Black and White era the Superman costume was actually grey and brown.
