Brian played a soprano sax on this.
"I did a Beatles session the other night actually. On soprano saxophone, of all things. I've taken up playing reeds again. I used to play reed instruments. I bought a soprano saxophone the other day and ever since I have been doing sessions on it. There are soprano saxophones on the Stones' records, future Beatles records. You know, it's a funny thing -- you get hold of something and put it on everyone's records. It's great. There's a very nice recording scene going on right now in London." - Brian Jones, 17th June 1967.
Nice to hear them having fun! Nice sax work by Brian Jones 😉
Holy heck, Ringo's drumming is on point! Absolutely adore this song.
My favorite Beatles track 😊
Wow this is great, thank you!
Thx dude, nice work
THANKS
thank you man
Imagine the look on George Martin's face when the Beatles were playing this.
John’s second J-160E was a 1964 model, not 1962
In photos taken from the session, the J-160 had its pickup moved to the bridge from a different sound. George’s J-160 (the 62) was the one that had its pickup moved
Is it John or Paul impersonating Fats Waller at the end?
John
@@HJsCorn909 I thought so.
John I heard
Sounds more like Paul drumming than Ringo
I don’t think so. Paul’s playing is looser and more simplistic
@@HJsCorn909i thought it was just john and paul on this whole track?
