Thanks so much for posting this. As a kid I walked all of these streets and of course many more. This video bought back lots of memories, good and bad!! It was fun to see that some things are so different and yet some are exactly the same!! Love to you and yours, Lizzy
You're welcome, Lizzy. I finally made this walking tour video because I think one day when watch back, I'll recover the memories of the past like you. It's a meaningful thing to do. I'm so glad that you like the video, thank you for your watching.
was that barber shop Connie's Pizza? I remember he joined a religious cult or something, sold everything and gave the money to them. At least that's the story my dad told.
I work in this area. Sadly, the streets are filled with garbage, litter, and pollution, cars honk constantly, people drive dangerously, and there are so many traffic accidents and police activity. It's a real shame
I grew up in that area and worked at San Remo's Pizza straight out of HS, many, many memories, thanks for sharing, nice to see what it looks like now verses 20 years earlier
Thanks so much for sharing this. I lived there for about 1 year, then I came back to my country Costa Rica around 10 years ago! This video reminded me very good times I had over there! Lots of new things and new business there! I love it when I saw the NJ Transit 190 passing by 🙌 🌟✨
It has changed I lived on 1st Street in Clifton . My cousins and I and my friends we will walk from the Clifton pool all the way 2 White Castle and back have something to do in the summer time when school was out ferrets you still hang over there by the railroad tracks and walk the tracks and by 3rd Street. A park and they used to say that was the doorway to hell with the underground tunnels back then went to Christopher Columbus Junior High School. My first part-time job back then was working in the Grand Union that was in 1978 was the last time I was in New Jersey had moved out of New Jersey. Boy do I miss it I miss the food
These were my stomping grounds in the '70's & '80's left in 95 and havn't been back. 😥 Living in san antonio now. Just missing my old stomping grounds of my youth. Thanks so much!
Nice to see the DeLuxe Cleaners sign is still there. That gorgeous brick community center was the post office. Is that Walgreen's the former movie theater location ?
These streets are located in Jersey City. I have two videos might be helpful: Jersey City downtown: ua-cam.com/video/ZFllqyFRz8c/v-deo.html Jersey City ua-cam.com/video/Fc3bxKfifa8/v-deo.html
Cool. I've been to Clifton once or twice. Off topic question. I am looking for a friend that lived in Clifton. His name is Nicholas Zoughaib he is from Lebanon and has a brother George and Charlie. They use to work and own Shell Gas stations. I know is a long shot but one never knows. My name is George Ramos. Nick and I went to college at Kean University.
I saw the price of gas and had to look when you shared this lol. I knew it had to be under Trump lol. Man I haven't seen gas that cheap in Jersey since I was very young. I live in NC now

Started out at Connie’s Pizza on Piaget and Main. I lived there on corner of Piaget and Brown. It sure has changed since the 80s. Good video.
