Aloha! It is sometimes hard for me to tell but I find that 395 gives off the purple light as opposed to a 365 that just lights up our neon paint. I like the latter because to me that is the point but I get that some like to see around the room. I like it pitch black if I can. LOL. So I just bought one 365 sunlite bulb and it's not enough for all that I have hanging. So I got a 50w flood and its 365 but I assume since it is a flood that is why my room just lit up and I was hoping it would be black except the neon paint. Do you think my room is lit up because it's a 50w flood light? I just can't seem to get the right balance as its harder to find what I need. Thoughts or recommendations? Mahalo

Keep in mind that the stronger you go in black lights the more visible light will come out, even if it's 365nm, because 365 still does produce some visible light, and the more power you go the more visible light leaks out. Unfortunately, not much you can do about it. You can't keep a whole room pitch black with a black light, cause of the slight visible leakage and all the fluorescent objects creating light. They have other 365nm screwin type at Walmart but the quality might not be great. 365nm A19 bulbs are hard to come by. Hope that helps.
Damn that is cheap i just made my first week of work im going to get that alonefire all the money that i make is going to go to flashlights and lasers a 7 watt 450 nm laser came in 3 days ago i want to get a 405 nm one too are you going to get the alonefire flashlight?
@@UVBlackLights yeah you need to get you one it would fit you well! Depending on the model you get you can get a cheap one for like a dollar and they go all the way up to several hundred dollars
Hello Mr. Uv, I have some questions. I am thinking of getting flocked blacklight reactive posters for my average sized bedroom. I also wanted to get 2 lava lamps, 2 led neon lamps (like this www.amazon.com/dp/B07QFKPK1W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_2-ZDFbT5XSGF5) a plasma ball, and a led oil diffuser, all for some ambient lighting. If I used 365nm lights and had all the other ambient lighting on would the blacklight posters still glow or would they be drowned out by all the other lighting in my room? What wavelength/type of blacklight would be best to make the posters glow while all the other lights are on?
@Sam Beb You can tell the difference from 385nm-400nm, you'll see a distinct visible purplish color blasting the surface. 365nm you won't see that purplish light.

I have flocked velvet posters in a 10x10 backyard shed that has 5 recess lighti fixtures, what bulbs do you recommend?
What kind of lighting fixtures are they? Fluorescent? What size? If they’re fluorescent I’d take a look at Wildfire Lighting Sablelux fluorescent BLB.

There are a couple of versions of the alonefire i think a 3, 5, and a 10 watt im going to get the 10

You should be ok , as it’s not that much ambient light. If you don’t want the visible purple light from a 400nm, then get a 365nm blacklight.

Uv light is dangerous. Limit exposure of skin and eyes.
