I'm generalizing so I can infer, my main point is her actions and words don't match with her intent. e.g. she knew he was a superhero but acted the way she did on the campus grounds. it was a life-threatening situation for mark and she got upset he disappeared and appeared as invincible. Omni deserves more hatred but people see themselves as more likely to meet a female dog than a mass murderer. so her character bugs them more than his. plus people like the one who is invincible and lacks empathy. people like the idea of doing stuff and not feeling guilt nor fear. it stems from our dark desires (refer to "the shadow" by Carl Jung); i.e. the sociopath trope
Because Amber in the comics was a case of “If it isn’t broke. Don’t fix it.” She had believable struggles and Mark had struggles trying to make the thing with Amber work. He told Amber the truth because he was on a guilt trip with her getting injured and hospitalized. The TV show pulls things with Amber like “I already know” and write it off as a way to fast track Mark over to Eve. I don’t mind if the show also is meant to have Mark end up with Eve, but the way they rush it seems to gloss over and put away a lot of the struggles Mark had with Amber struggling with a relationship that was doomed to eventually be a breakup, as well as Mark struggling from his inexperience with trying to run his romance and being a superhero at the same time. Just saying the writers made it a bit cheap. Also the way that Amber is written in the show is a bit inconsistent with the idea that she always knew about Mark being invincible.
Sorry but I don’t hope Omni man has a redemption arc. The whole morale of this is when there’s a lot of power, it cannot be held with responsibility, it corrupts anyone regardless of how great they are. Omniman is the living story proof of it, the most powerful man on earth, and can’t shake how much it corrupts him. It needs to end with either omniman dying and a full war with viltrum, or the more likely one of omniman coming back with reinforcements and killing everyone.
