Jesus and the Adulteress (Pharisees trying to disprove Jesus as Son of God)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 8 лют 2025
- This is the instance where the Pharisees direct the people to take an Adulteress to Jesus and then try to turn Jesus against God, by which they can accuse Him. (Scripture ~ John 8:2-8:11)
Watch and know how Jesus handles the situation. He handles the situation, giving out a vibrant message.
"Condemn the Sinners ; Can we do it?"

The clip is from "Jesus of Nazareth"
God bless you all!
I love how unflappable Jesus is in this scene. The Pharisees probably couldn't care less about what the woman really did, but they wanted to back Jesus into a corner. He knows exactly what they're up to and turns it back on them. What can they do? They know he's right and they have to slink away.
The professing pharisees are the professing Black Hebrew Israelitea
This is a great scene
Best portrait of Jesus ever in my humble opinion 🌻
I just love how the pharesses are always running after Jesus trying to prove him only to fail miserably.
Kind of like how the crazy democrats and fake stream media continue to go after Donald Trump. They have accused him of everything under the sun and nothing so far has proved his guilt. In fact, I'm willing to bet, just like the pharisees, that they are accusing Trump of crimes that they themselves have committed in order to take the negative attention away from themselves (#1 rule for a radical according to Saul Alinsky)
@@TheAnswerToIs-uk5fq Not really
JESUS Christ is Lord and Savior.Praise Almighty GOD Amen
Amen i love him
I found out later that Jesus was writing her guilt in the sand. Before He stood to approach her, he wiped her sin away. It was according to Jewish law or Jewish tradition...can't remember. It's been awhile.
When He said to let the one without sin cast the first stone...He was referring to Himself. Only He was without sin. Only He could cast the first stone.
Well he was challenging them to see if they actually upheld what they are about to do
Jesus was writing the mobs sins not hers
The pharisees today are the Black Hebrew Israelites who preach unforgiveness
@@paulcerminara3107 Correct
Perhaps Jesus was writing "I AM the one who wrote the Law of Moses." But we don't know, because it just says He wrote in the ground. So we don't know exactly what He wrote.
I love how this all worked out! Jesus knew the Pharisees were trying to back him into a corner and not only did he get their plan to backfire, he was so quick to forgive the woman of her sin! Jesus Christ is my lord and savior and I am so thankful for what he did to save me from my sins!
Thank You Jesus My God and My Lord.. We don't live by the law of the flesh but Law of Your love guides us in our daily life.. So thank you Jesus.. Hallelujah Amen..
Too bad there is no contemporary evidence that shows he even existed. It was well over 100 years after these alleged events that there is even any written mention of a person of that name.
wow his words..so powerful
Jesus,s comment is so amazing. He shows such love l💕 and forgiveness. Why can't some humans be like him. This scene though brief is the perfect example of 💕 love and forgiveness 😉🙂
Love you Lord Jesus💕💕🌷
Jesus called for sinners to repent, not the righteous, the Pharisees didn't have a right to stone the woman because they sinned as well. He didn't stone the woman because he knew that she was contrite and was willing to not sin again or at least try not to.
Some educaters claim that this story of Jesus is made up(which is in a footnote in most Holy Bibles)but I would love it to be true.
It is such a awe inspiring and beautiful chapter from God's word.
Jesus here is played superbly by Robert Powell which in my opinion is the ultimate portrail of the life of Jesus Christ....EVER.
You are right , no actor who plays Our Lord even comes close to this performance.
That is the most powerful message in the bible and is relevant today even more so.
Jesus is coming back to rapture the church.. We all need to be ready.. Anyone who has not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, please do so because where you spend eternity depends on it
Heavy.
Ps Much Gratitude
They were all a brood of snakes just as John the Baptist rightfully called them. They failed to entrap Jesus and slithered away in shame knowing he had exposed their deceit. Simplicity in perfection😁
@Cabanas751Dunhill Indeed! Jesus never changed the Law, he just showed HOW it was supposed to upheld, like Lust substituted for Adultery, which was God's law. God never meant, lust over women, but not commit adultery, if Jesus did anything, it was that He set the Law on a higher plane than how it was held those days.
God bless you brother. :)
This is a story later added into Gospel of John. it never existed in early manuscripts according to bible scholars.
The equivalent of a mic drop. Very powerful.
Enough with the carnal unrelated topics
Son of God. Mercy on us
Amen Lord Hallelujah Father🙏
Jesus is my lord and savior i love him with all my heart and soul🙏🙏🙏❤. Lord Jesus please let me into the kingdom of God i will do anything to. just tell me what i need to do to enter i will always worship in your mighty name lord i pray Amen
Keep loving God and your neighbour
This is a warning
But, Jesus said for those "without sin" COULD cast a stone at her. Jesus fits this requirement. Jesus COULD HAVE stoned her and still been within the law. But, why didn't He?
People were so quick to judge her, that they themselves didn’t think about their own sins. Also they didn’t bring the man. Because the Law that God have Moses said to bring the man and the woman. Not just the woman alone. Also they were trying to trap Jesus.
heart of the law is "mercy".
Jesus was the new covenant. and was the only one who ever kept the law it cannot be done by sinners.
Crazy thing is, according to many people who have seen Jesus in Ndes say he really does have blue eyes
its so sad :.( if you are without sin ....Then you can throw a stone but if you throw it ? you would then Sin for throwing it :D truly amazing :.( and i hope one day to walk the streets of glory and see everyone who has moved on
The point is Jesus DIDn't forgive her but was carrying out the law - the law of God was not being UPHELD by the ones bringing the woman.
No actual witnesses. "Caught in the act"? Well, who caught her? Jesus wasn't going to have that kangaroo court crap. He didn't say stoning the adulteress would be wrong, but it had to be done in righteousness and not in sin. It would have been MURDER to kill that adulteress, and sin doesn't justify sin.
Jesus knew she was an adulteress but He proclaimed that "sinning no more" is what truly leads to life. "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life," He said right after that moment in John 8:12.
Simply he is the Son and Word of God. Forgiveness is like an ocean in his heart. His judgements are unquestionable.
You guys do realize that this particular story has been stripped from modern bibles as an interpolation right? It's a fake story. Never happened.
Exactly, You nailed it.
Watch the video again. Jesus said, "He who among you who is without sin, let him cast the first stone." If anyone was there who was without sin, Jesus said, he MAY stone her. Are you accusing Jesus of encouraging them to break His own law?
He clarified and cemented it in an unmovable stone ie he the Creator - personal visit.
They had LAW in the Garden of Eden, and it's never been abated - can't as that's a reflection of Yahweah's morality. It goes a time verbally, then codified by Moses, some written in stone by God to show knuckleheads it's meant to last forever. Then changed in babylon which was what JESUS set straight against those who taught man made doctrines. He showed how the law is to be done when written on the heart.
in arab and muslim nations, women caught in adultery is condemned while men caught the same is freed
Loony Linn hypocrite
This is not how biblical stoning works, if a women is accused of this crime, she has to be brought before the Beis Dein ( Jewish court ) in the account of two Kosher witnesses, and the court is to find ways to spare her rather than to go out of their way to seek someone’s guilt. This is not Islam where they get stoned on the street instantly
It's about YOUR certain rejection of equity and justice as to your problem with reality. Had you LOVED Yahweah as you poffer, you would have STUDIED the law, statutes & judgments and applied them throught scripture because God changes NOT and that is a reflection of his Righteousness and you would want to obey and emulate him - you'd seek the dark sayings of scripture. You make it complicated by not knowing your creator & rejection of your obligation and Jesus mandates. Repent
That's right, as those men who brought her were ALL breaking the law and under the law their lives would have been forfeited - you got to KNOW THE LAW or you will never know what the bible speaks about.
Romans 7:1: Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law....
But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully
If Jesus would have JUDGED the case Righteously they would have died and they all knew it - why do you think they removed themselves - couldnt press issue
it is Scripture................... John 8 :1:1 thru 11. read it for yourself.
Jesus COULD NOT have stoned her and been within the law - MANY REASONS WHY - since you can't even see one - I suggest that you study that book of the law you claim is HOLY and find out why - it's essential to you getting things without error - you do want to be a Christian in truth and Love don;t you? My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
I John 5:
3 For this is the love of יהוה, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
Go Learn Now
I think what he means that..only good man can judge the woman and all of them with stone in the hand think that they are sinners..and not so good person to execute..
All human is a sinner since we are inside our mothers womb.
What was he writing?
the pharisees were hypocrites............ you cant turn Jesus against his Father.and on that woman.............he said one thing and they all left because they knew in their hearts they were guilty.he who has no sin..cast the first stone.and she was so afraid but she looked.they were gone and she left that life after that for good.
So this guy sells all his stuff gives the money to the poor now he's poor and they're rich so which ones go to heaven it doesn't make sense
The scripture says He was writing something in the sand. Could it be the names and times of those who engaged in adultery with the woman?... those to whom He was speaking?
naw he was drawing these 8::::: D
Jesus Christ is God
This portion of the book of John doesn't exist in any of the earliest manuscripts. It was added by an unknown author much later.
@Nick Costello fortunately for most of us that are seeking truth, "the church " doesn't get to decide that truth. The fact that it doesn't show in ANY document prior to 400 years after Jesus shows that "the church" will do any amount of text manipulation in order to push their agenda.
Neat story though. Unfortunately for Christians that's all it is.
@Nick Costello redirecting from the topic doesn't help your cause. Whether i believe in the resurrection or not doesn't make John 8 anymore or less reliable.
Per the discussion, it is important to point out that Jesus couldn't adjudicate any death penalty case. This because only a majority vote from the sanhedrin made these type of death penalty rulings and only after a proper trial.
Even if someone were to speculate that Jesus was a member of this court, (which Christians wouldn't dare consider), his vote alone would not condemn or free a suspect of adultry because it was a majority vote that sealed ones fate.
Clearly this section is a parable of sorts, inserted by some unknown scribe in order to further demonize the pharisees and to insinuate that Jesus had divine authority to forgive sins.
@Nick Costello fair enough Nick. Although im not a scholar, just a layman who studies, but your point is valid. I will do my best to refrain from sharing my opinion in this particular discussion.

I agree with your suspicions , but I have a correction that gospel of John wasn't written after 400 years but between 90 and 110 AD . The gospel of John differs greatly from other gospels and even has some contradictions . Moreover , in the first 3 gospels , Jesus is described as a messenger of God , but in John's gospel he is described as god himself
@@soldierofchrist4447 Shalom! I wasn't discussing the entire book of John. I was specifically addressing the verses that relate to the adulterous women at the end of John chapter 7-8. These verses were not found in any early manuscript of any book in the NT prior to 400ce. Also interesting to note that when it appeared around 400ce it wasn't even in the book of john. It bounced around the NT and eventually landed at its current address around the10th or 11th century.
Profound & deep. Truely this is from da real god. Da universal god. & not from da god of da bible. Jehova da false god. An alien 👽 pretending to be god 👭👬👪👫😘💖
