A long time ago, when I was a young man, I was so impressed by “Close encounters” in the theater that I wanted to go here before I die, but instead,
I saw this wonderful video, and I am truly grateful. Thank you!

Glad you enjoyed it. I was there when I was 12 and didn’t really appreciate it then. Going back as an adult it really is an incredible place.
      Thanks for watching!

The base of an ancient tree, probably a billion years ago. I don't have an idea if this is true, but it makes the most sense to me.

It looks like the base of a petrified tree. The real story of how it was created is really interesting.
      Thanks for watching!

Great video… Thank you so much for sharing… This is on our bucket list as well, and then a few years when we retire we are hoping to head out west and visit. Keep up the great work!

Glad you enjoyed it! I can’t explain the feeling of being there and seeing it in person. Words can’t describe it.
      Thanks for watching!

The problem with the KOA for me, a dedicated tent camper, is listening to your A/C run continuously. Sorry, not trying to be mean. You do you, I’ll do me. 🙃😀

You had Dexter on the trail to the peace sculpture, I thought that dogs can not be on any of the trails. How did you do that?

We saw the sign on our way back. But also a Ranger was there and didn't say anything or we would have left him in the car

Disproving the Devils Tower tree Theory:
If it was a tree, it would have reached into the troposphere. The troposphere is about 10 km (6.2 miles or about 33,000 feet) above sea level. According to a team of Georgian (state not country) biologists, the maximum height of a tree lies somewhere between 400 and 426 feet (122 and 130 m).

Great facts. I think the Tree story is more of a legend. But fun to think about. Thanks.

It kind of looks like a petrified tree. The story of how it was created is really fascinating.

Unfortunately not. I guess once they got Richard Dreyfuss. That satisfied their curiosity!
